After spending a week at St.

Mungo’s Hospital, Aine’s entire family finally returned home.

The first thing Aine did after arriving was go straight to his room and sleep.Full novel: Harry Potter: The Retired Archmage — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Simulating potion brewing and studying Ancient Runes had placed too much strain on his ten-year-old body, so he needed to catch up on sleep as quickly as possible.

Just like an ordinary baby, Diana also woke up during the night and began crying loudly.

Her cries were accompanied by a wave of magical power that continued spreading outward.

Aine was jolted awake the moment Diana’s magical power erupted, and he knew that his little sister’s magic had awakened.

He immediately ran toward Diana’s room.

The moment he opened the door, he saw a tall black shadow.

If he had not mistaken it, this should have been the very figure he had seen when he was a baby.

The black shadow turned around upon seeing Aine.

Aine remained calm.

If it had been an enemy, he would have died the moment it approached the room.

After all, there was still a huge difference between a young wizard and an adult wizard.

Especially when it came to reactions toward enemies, adult wizards and young wizards were fundamentally different.

Yet Aine was not afraid.

The black shadow slowly walked over to him and reached out with a skeletal hand, gently touching Aine’s head before slipping a small pouch into his arms.

Aine could not see the shadow’s true face.

Its entire head was hidden beneath a wizard’s hood, and with the shadow standing against the moonlight, its features were impossible to make out.

However, Aine clearly sensed a special connection between himself and the shadow, and he immediately thought of his middle name.

Just as he was about to say the name aloud, the black shadow disappeared.

It melted into the darkness like water flowing into a river.

Seeing such an incredible sight, Aine was genuinely shocked.

This was not something any wizard in the current magical world could accomplish.

Nevertheless, Aine chose to keep the secret hidden.

Looking at his smiling little sister, Aine felt that she really resembled him when he was young.

When she saw the black shadow, her reaction had not been to cry, but to laugh at it.

Aine noticed a necklace around Diana’s neck that was identical to his own, although there was a slight difference.

Beneath the circular outline of hers was a crescent-shaped diamond.

Aine slowly lifted Diana from her crib and gently patted her little back.

He softly began singing a lullaby from the elven race of his previous life.

The quiet, ethereal melody gradually lulled Diana’s eyes shut.

Aine used his own magical power to suppress Diana’s ongoing magical outburst, but the eruption of her magic had already reduced every piece of furniture in the nursery, apart from the crib, to fragments.

By the time Diana had completely fallen asleep, his parents finally arrived, with their reactions slower than a snail’s.

Paland and Lydia witnessed a beautiful scene.

Outside the window hung a bright full moon, and beneath its pure moonlight stood Aine, gently soothing his little sister to sleep while singing a song that sounded like an aria.

Aine gently placed Diana back into her crib.

Just as he was about to leave, he noticed his parents standing in the doorway watching him.

He quietly stepped out of his sister’s room and closed the door.

After walking a little farther away, he finally questioned his parents.

“You two took so long.

If I hadn’t come over, Diana would’ve cried herself hoarse!”

Lydia said, “If we hadn’t arrived so late, we wouldn’t have seen how much you care about your little sister.

Your room is even farther from Diana’s room than ours is.”

Hearing his parents, Aine was speechless.

What did they mean by saying he cared so much about his little sister?

Listen to yourselves!

She was his own little sister!

Wasn’t it perfectly normal for him to care about her?

Aine grew annoyed just thinking about it and silently returned to his room.

After Aine disappeared from sight, Paland and Lydia, who were still standing in the corridor, revealed the truth about the black shadow, something Aine very much wanted to know. Get faster updates on novelping.com.

Paland said, “Lydia, do you think their godfather saw them?”

Lydia replied, “Of course he did.

Aine ran over the moment Diana’s magic erupted.

I wouldn’t believe it if he hadn’t seen him.

But should we continue hiding it?”

“Of course we should.

Aine hasn’t reached the age to come into contact with them yet.

Diana has only just been born.”

“Should we handle Lydia’s matter according to Aine’s method as well?”

“Yes.

Goodrian arranged everything long ago, and their godfather’s side agreed as well.”

“All right.

Diana Thanatos Ambrosius.

All three siblings have the same middle name.”

…

After returning to his room, Aine opened the small pouch the black shadow had given him.

The spatial magic inside the pouch was clearly different from the Undetectable Extension Charm.

Instead, it was similar to alchemy, using magical runes to create a space.

The pouch itself only served as a connection.

There were two things inside: a black letter and a book.

When Aine took them out, the pouch was consumed by a cluster of eerie green flames.

Aine carefully examined the two items.

There was nothing particularly unusual about the black letter, but the book was strange.

A black cover wrapped around the entire book, while silver chains crossed over its surface in a grid-like pattern.

There was not even the slightest trace of a way to unlock it.

Aine tossed the book aside and opened the black letter.
