Aine opened the black letter.

The moment he unfolded it, green words appeared before his eyes.

They were neither English nor any language Aine knew, yet the instant he saw them, he somehow understood their meaning.Full novel: Harry Potter: The Retired Archmage — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

To My Dear Godson:

Everything you want to know will be revealed when you are able to open the book I gave you.

Please put your curiosity aside for now.

Everything is for your own good.

The words in this letter are written in a special language, and only special people can understand them.

…

After reading the letter, Aine went over it once, then read it again, but still couldn’t find a signature at the end.

At least, however, he had figured out one thing.

That mysterious black figure was the godfather of the three siblings, and the necklace around his neck was a magical item possessing powerful protective abilities.

Aine took out the necklace and examined it, then probed it with both his magic power and spiritual power, but he couldn’t detect anything unusual.

However, when he tested it with his magic power, the green gemstone in the center of the necklace lit up for a moment.

When he tried probing it again, there was no response.

Based on his experience as a grand wizard in his previous life, the magic used in this necklace was definitely related to magical runes, and they were special magical runes.

These special runes would only react to a particular kind of magical power.

He possessed that kind of magic power, but certain conditions were required.

Aine suspected that the condition might be his physical age.

After all, information concerning the soul could not be detected without the person’s cooperation unless one was willing to cause damage.

Thinking of this, Aine tested the black letter with his magic power.

The moment his magic touched the letter, it burst into flames.

The flames were a ghostly green, and the letter burned extraordinarily quickly, disappearing completely in the blink of an eye.

The burning letter resolved some of Aine’s doubts and allowed him to sleep peacefully.

His little sister’s crib was moved into his parents’ room, which also confirmed his guess.

His parents had deliberately placed the crib in that room that night so that his mysterious godfather could see both him and his sister, Diana.

Based on his deductions, his older brother Tatri had probably known about these secrets for a long time.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have practically disappeared after graduating from Hogwarts.

When Aine was younger, Tatri would often take him to the Burrow during his Hogwarts holidays.

It was during that time that Aine became acquainted with the twins.

Thinking of the twins, Aine came up with an idea.

After the family banquet, he would go stay at the Burrow and help out his uncle.

After all, his uncle was raising five underage children.

He could also conduct some experiments together with the twins.

Before he knew it, the Ambrosius family banquet was about to begin.

The banquet did not invite any other families that had married into the Ambrosius family.

Instead, everyone bearing the surname Ambrosius gathered together.

The family banquet was held in the ancient castle within the forest.

Aine who was free to do as he pleased, rode his horse back to the ancient castle early in the morning.

He watched as relatives arrived one after another on broomsticks, although more of them first went to the castle and then rode horses over.

Apparition was prohibited throughout the forest and around the ancient castle.

On top of that, generation after generation had strengthened the magical restrictions, so even the Floo Network and Portkeys could no longer enter the area covered by the ancient castle’s magical restrictions.

As the moon rose above the treetops, the Ambrosius family banquet began.

The banquet was held in the central courtyard of the ancient castle.

Aine figured that the entire Ambrosius family consisted of only a little over thirty people.

Other than Aine and his sister, everyone was an adult, so Aine spent the entire evening sitting at the dining table and eating.

After reporting to his father, Paland, he used the fireplace in a secluded study on the first floor to travel to the Weasley family’s Burrow.

This fireplace had been used during their previous trip to Romania.

The study was specifically used to receive guests from the magical world.

As soon as Aine arrived at the Burrow, he completely let himself loose.

Arthur was at work, while Molly was busy with the household chores.

Aine went straight up to the third floor and kicked open Fred and George’s bedroom door, only to find that nobody was inside.

Aine had a pretty good idea where they were, so he opened the twins’ window and jumped straight out.

After jumping from the window, Aine used the power of the wind to slowly descend before running toward the nearby Diggory home.

Fred and George should be playing with Cedric at this time.

Sure enough, Fred, George, and Cedric were playing baseball.

Fred was pitching, George was batting, and Cedric was catching.

Seeing this, Aine sat down on a large rock and watched them play.

He could only say that Cedric’s catching skills were exceptionally polished.

No matter how tricky Fred’s pitches were, Cedric could catch them.

Around the Burrow, Cedric, Fred, and George were the only children of similar age.

The other children their age lived too far away.

After all, the entire British magical world had a population of only a little over ten thousand, so simply having neighboring families living in the same area was already quite rare.

Finding children of similar ages was even more difficult.

Therefore, aside from receiving homeschooling from Molly, Fred and George spent most of their time playing with Cedric.

Of course, they also never missed an opportunity to prank Ron.

“Aine!!!

Watch out!!!”
