The answer was that the Ambrosius family itself was also one of the players involved in burying history, but Aine had no evidence.

Aine thought to himself: My family doesn’t just deceive outsiders.

They even deceive their own people.Full novel: Harry Potter: The Retired Archmage — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Besides this library, there must be an even larger library recording everything from more than five hundred years ago.

Aine prepared to head to the Genealogy Hall to look for evidence.

After all, burying evidence would require manpower.

If he could identify the family members responsible for concealing the truth, he could basically confirm his suspicion.

On a fine morning, Aine arrived at the castle’s Genealogy Hall.

He looked at the magnificent oak tree recorded on the wall.

This oak tree was the Ambrosius family’s genealogy.

Looking at the countless acorns scattered across it like stars, Aine felt a headache coming on.

He started from his own branch and worked his way backward, following the records through time in search of clues.

After roughly three hours of sorting through everything, he finally found a trace of something unusual.

The earliest date recorded was 1612, which was 376 years ago from the current year of 1988.

There were no records further back.

Yet the Ambrosius family had begun to rise around 500 BC, giving it a history of roughly 2,500 years.

Where had the records of the other 2,100 years of family members gone?

The simplest answer was, of course, to ask the current head of the family, his grandfather.

After leaving the Genealogy Hall, Aine headed toward the Oak Garden, a place where his grandfather often stayed.

After seeing his grandfather, Goodrian, Aine asked sweetly, “Grandpa!

Grandpa!

Why does the family tree only record our ancestors from more than three hundred years ago?

What about the ones from even further back?”

Goodrian wasn’t surprised by the question.

“The answer to that question is hidden within our family’s current crest.”

The Ambrosius family crest was something Aine saw every day.

It depicted three elder trees surrounding a massive oak.

If the oak represented the current genealogy, then he still needed to find the other three elder genealogy trees.

Judging by the timeline, each elder tree should record roughly seven hundred years of history.

In the magical world, oak represented eternity, while elder represented death.

Aine’s father had never explained the meaning of the family crest to him, but he had once told Aine : “If anyone in the family can comprehend the meaning of our family crest, that person will become the glory of the family.”

Aine continued questioning Goodrian.

“The family crest?

But Dad once told me that whoever can comprehend the meaning of the family crest will become the glory of the family!

Grandpa, what does the family crest mean?”

Goodrian lay back in his rocking chair and said leisurely, “You have to find the meaning of the family crest yourself.

Tatri has already found it.

I hope you’ll be the next one.”

This time, Aine hadn’t found an answer.

Instead, even more mysteries filled his mind.

What did the Ambrosius family crest mean?

Why conceal the truth about the ancient runes?

Why did the Ambrosius family conceal more than 2,100 years of history?

And where was the family’s true library?

As Aine pondered these questions, he headed toward the potion preparation room inside the castle.

He felt that this magical world was becoming more and more interesting.

The mysteries buried beneath the surface of the present magical world had completely captivated him.

Aine set the mysteries aside and began studying potions.

While organizing the small library, he had found an entire collection of books covering potions from beginner level to complete mastery.

Properties of a Thousand Magical Ingredients, Illustrated Guide to a Thousand Magical Ingredients, Beginner’s Potions, Detailed Guide to Potion-Making Equipment, Advanced Potions, How to Prepare Magical Ingredients… This chapter is updated first at NovelPing.

There were, of course, also some forbidden potion recipes, such as Detailed Guide to Preparing Blood Curse Potions, Records of Magical Transformation Experiments, Formulas for Utilizing Vampire Blood, and Curse-Assisting Formulas.

Looking at these books, any one of which would probably land him in Azkaban if the Ministry of Magic discovered them, Aine couldn’t help wondering: Is it really appropriate for someone as young as me to be reading these?

There were no restrictions on Aine entering the small library.

Even the magical wards at the entrance only prevented non-blood relatives and non-human creatures from entering.

For members of the Ambrosius family, there were practically no restrictions at all.

It was through this that Aine learned just how cruel wizards who walked down the dark path could be.

Records of Magical Transformation Experiments contained records of more than three hundred human experiments.

The test subjects were all Muggles and Squibs.

Detailed Guide to Potion-Making Equipment taught Aine that cauldrons were only used for general mixing and preparation.

The more advanced the potion, the more specialized equipment it required.

Especially for potions such as Felix Felicis, the formal brewing process alone involved more than a thousand steps, without even counting the procedures required during the preliminary preparation of the magical ingredients.

Beginner potions didn’t require much equipment.

A cauldron, a small knife, a scale, a spirit lamp, and a mortar were enough.

After everything was prepared, Aine brewed a potion for the first time.

(1) Boil a pot of licorice water in the cauldron.

(2) While the licorice water is boiling, use a small knife to cut open the liver of a fire-breathing duck and remove the blood vessels.

Crush it with a mortar and add focus flowers.

(3) After adding the focus flowers, crush the duck liver and flowers together again, then add dew from the daze herb collected on the night of the full moon.

(4) Once bubbles appear on the surface of the licorice water, add the crushed mixture of duck liver and focus flowers.

Stir for fifteen minutes (crossed out, stir clockwise until the licorice water turns purple).

(5) After stirring for fifteen minutes (crossed out, after it turns purple), remove the cauldron and let it sit for ten minutes (crossed out, ten minutes, until it turns black), then add ground deep-sea pearl powder.

Complete.

This was the brewing process for a Strengthening Potion, a potion specifically developed by wizards to be used alongside physical training.

Its effect was to accelerate the warm-up process and help the body enter a state suitable for exercise.

However…
