Tuesday’s first class was Charms, and it was shared with the Slytherins.

Professor Flitwick, the Charms professor, was a remarkably tiny wizard.

When class began, he stood on a pile of books to take attendance.Full novel: Harry Potter: Touch to Upgrade My Magic Attributes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But when he reached Harry’s name, he squeaked with excitement and toppled out of sight, completely disappearing from view…

The students of both houses couldn’t help but exchange looks.

Most of them instinctively stared at Harry with peculiar expressions.

The blonde Malfoy let out a disgruntled snort.

Harry looked equally at a loss.

Sitting in his usual spot in the corner, Ethan began to feel a sense of despair.

Was Professor McGonagall really the only reliable person in the entire school of Hogwarts?

Having Quirrell was already bad enough!

Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms were both incredibly important core subjects.

Could they not find some dependable teachers?

Fortunately, Professor Flitwick quickly climbed back up.

After all, this was a long two-hour class.

He finished calling attendance and passionately launched into the history and current state of Charms.

“Alright, children!

For our first lesson, we will learn a very simple spell: the Color-Change Charm!” As he spoke, Professor Flitwick drew his wand and tapped the desk, instantly turning the entire surface purple.

He said loudly, “In theory, as long as you have enough magic, you can turn the entire school into any color you like!” And so, in his first Charms class, Ethan reviewed the Color-Change Charm and gained 12 experience points.

This gave Ethan some comfort; at least it was better than listening to a lecture full of useless babble.

After Charms, they had Herbology in the afternoon.

Today they were still tending to Alihotsy Trees, while also learning how to use Alihotsy leaves to brew a Laughing Potion.

Near the end of the lesson, Professor Sprout assigned a new homework project: research Sneezewort and learn how to care for it.

There were two classes that afternoon.

Besides Herbology, they had History of Magic.

The young wizards felt incredibly drowsy; the content was dry, and Professor Binns’s voice was highly hypnotic.

The young wizards struggled to stay awake, which felt like excellent training for their mental resistance.

Ethan, however, listened with interest.

He glanced at Professor Binns from time to time, and when the ghost drifted close, he “curiously” reached out, attempting to touch him.

Professor Binns was the only ghost professor at school.

Professor Binns didn’t mind.

Every year, there were students curious about him, but they couldn’t touch ghosts, and ghosts couldn’t touch them.

[Cuthbert Binns] [Redemption Value: 9 (Mental Strength, Intelligence, Mental Resistance)] Ethan’s hand jerked, pulling back as if shocked.

Rumor had it that this old professor had been around since the founding of Hogwarts.

He was a genuine relic and a treasure of the school.

If he hadn’t held back just now, he might have been charged with “assaulting a professor.” By then, he’d have to transfer to Azkaban for further studies.

Ethan desperately suppressed the racing in his heart.

Stat points were great, but he had to be smart about how he got them…

If he made a move on Professor Binns, it would surely draw Dumbledore’s attention.

No, absolutely not.

He closed his eyes and buried his face in his book, refusing to look up at Professor Binns again—he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to resist.

*There are other ghosts in the school.

I need to learn the Disillusionment Charm as soon as possible.* He was practically salivating at the thought.

When the bell rang, nearly everyone let out a long sigh of relief.

Ron complained to Harry, “That lecture actually made me miss Professor Quirrell!” “Well, you’ll see him tomorrow,” Harry said with a shrug.

They had Defense Against the Dark Arts tomorrow afternoon.

Ron looked even more depressed.

Seamus and Neville ran up to Ethan.

“Ethan, shall we head to the Great Hall?” In their entire house, they were the only two who hadn’t mastered Transfiguration yet.

Ethan nodded.

He glanced over at Harry’s side; for some reason, they were arguing with Malfoy’s group again.

Ethan wasn’t one to join in on the drama, so he packed up his desk, left the classroom with Seamus and Neville, walked down to the ground floor, and entered the Great Hall.

Right now, there were people waiting for him in the Great Hall.

“Hello, Ethan White.

I’m Susan Bones from Hufflepuff.” A round-faced young witch looked at Ethan nervously.

Wringing her hands, she stammered, “Yesterday…

yesterday you said that if anyone had trouble with Transfiguration, they could come to you.” Yesterday, the entire Gryffindor house had practiced Transfiguration in the Great Hall, and news of this had already spread to the other houses.

This morning, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw had attended Professor McGonagall’s Transfiguration class, where they also learned how to turn a match into a silver needle.

Ethan’s eyes lit up, and he immediately smiled.

“Yes!

My offer always stands, Miss Bones!

We’re just about to practice Transfiguration ourselves.

Come, sit down.

By the way, how did your class go?” Susan blushed and lowered her head, murmuring, “Only Luna Lovegood from Ravenclaw succeeded.

Professor McGonagall was quite disappointed.” Seamus and Neville nodded in quick succession.

They knew that feeling all too well.

Feeling pleased inside, Ethan comforted her.

“Transfiguration is indeed quite complex, but don’t worry.

With a few minor corrections, you’ll probably get it.” Susan nodded repeatedly.

The previous night, many people had witnessed the Gryffindor lions successfully turning their matches into silver needles.

“White, some of our other classmates want to learn from you too, but they’re a bit shy.” Susan pointed over her shoulder.

A group of young wizards was staring wistfully in their direction.

Ethan laughed warmly.

“We’re all classmates, helping each other is only natural.

Miss Bones, I only have one requirement.

Do you remember what it is?” “It’s to show you our acceptance letters, right?” Susan asked quietly, looking a little uneasy.

Ethan keenly noticed this and shook his head.

“It’s not mandatory.

If you don’t have it on you, it doesn’t matter.

I just wanted to take a look; it’s not actually that important.” “Really?

Thank you, White!” Susan looked at him with pleasant surprise, then spun around and hurried back to talk excitedly with the other young wizards.

Soon, smiles of relief and excitement spread across their faces.

It seemed Susan Bones was the bravest among them.

Neville stared at Ethan blankly and said softly, “Ethan, you’re so nice.” Ethan nodded without missing a beat.

“I think so too.” A moment later, a row of tables in the Great Hall was once again packed with young wizards, even more than yesterday.

This time, however, there were only two Gryffindors.

The rest were all Hufflepuffs.

Three of the Hufflepuffs hadn’t brought their acceptance letters; they hadn’t dared to come forward earlier out of fear of being rejected.

Yes, fear.

They really would have cried.

Fortunately, the others had brought theirs.

Ethan looked through them one by one, and system prompts kept popping up…

[Magic Affinity +1] [Spell Resistance +1] [Mental Resistance +1] [Agility +1] […] By the time Ethan finished reading the last letter, he had gained a total of 2 points in Magic Affinity, 2 points in Mental Resistance, 2 points in Spell Resistance, 2 points in Agility, 2 points in Stamina, 2 points in Strength, and 2 points in Physical Resistance.

Of course, these random attributes didn’t come for free.

In trying to teach these little badgers Transfiguration, Ethan clearly felt the difference between them and the little lions—they required much more patience and guidance.
