Vaggie’s tone was full of disgust.

She fired off one complaint after another, clearly on the verge of a breakdown from the torture of the talkative Egg Bois.

Charlie stood beside Vaggie, a gentle yet helpless smile on her face.Full novel: Hazbin Hotel: I Became the Clown Demon — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She lightly tugged on Vaggie’s sleeve and tried to soothe her.

“Now, Vaggie, don’t be angry.

The Egg Bois are just curious; they don’t mean any harm.

And Pentious isn’t doing it on purpose.

Can we try to be a little more patient?

They are our guests, after all.” Charlie’s voice was warm and healing as she tried to douse Vaggie’s fire, but Vaggie remained visibly annoyed.

She continued to grumble under her breath, clearly harboring a deep grudge against the noisy eggs.

As for Sir Pentious himself, he had no time to manage his subordinates.

He was currently busy organizing various items around the hotel and processing official documents and supplies sent down by Hell’s administration.

He was run off his feet.

In his own words, the tedious and troublesome chores of the hotel rested entirely on his shoulders, as Carmilla’s side couldn’t be relied upon for the small stuff.

Whenever he needed to procure construction materials or general supplies, Odette and Clara would personally deliver them.

The two girls were efficient and reliable; they would quickly inventory the goods, drop them off, and leave without any dallying.

Spade remained in the shadows, silently observing all of this.

He knew very well that the reason Odette and Clara delivered the goods personally wasn’t just because they were thorough—it was because of him.

The two girls knew he was working as the chef at the hotel.

Every time they made a delivery, they would make sure to sneak a look at him, and occasionally, they would even slip him some snacks.

All of this had come about because Sir Pentious had been buying supplies from Carmilla’s group for so long that they had all become quite familiar with one another.

Watching the noisy yet strangely heartwarming scene in the hotel, the gaze beneath Spade’s mask softened slightly.

This kind of life was far more interesting than the lonely years he had spent in his toy factory.

But he also understood that this sudden Overlord meeting was destined to shatter this peace.

Before long, afternoon arrived.

The light in Hell grew even dimmer.

Spade made up an excuse, telling Charlie and Vaggie that he had to return to his territory to handle some private business but would be back soon.

Charlie didn’t think twice about it, smiling as she told him to stay safe.

Vaggie merely waved him off, still too busy being annoyed by the Egg Bois to pay much attention to his departure.

Spade turned and merged into the shadows again.

He left the hotel instantly and headed straight for his own domain—the toy factory standing on the edge of Hell.

This toy factory was the product of billions of years of Spade’s effort.

It was filled with all sorts of dolls and mechanical toys that looked charming but were actually the stuff of nightmares for the lesser demons of Hell.

The factory was patrolled by specialized doll soldiers, each one hand-crafted by Spade.

They were powerful and strictly disciplined.

Even though Spade had been away for several days, all matters, large and small, were proceeding orderly according to the rules he had set.

Occasionally, an arrogant little demon would try to start a rebellion or disrupt the factory’s order, but they were all ruthlessly subdued by the doll sentries.

They would be thrown directly into the Demon Canned Food processing room to be turned into mindless canned goods.

In Hell, the law of the jungle was eternal.

Spade’s territory never permitted any form of rebellion.

Because of this, no demon dared to act out on his turf, let alone dream of smuggling or treachery.

After all, compared to power and wealth, staying alive was the priority.

Spade walked into the factory, scanned the orderly workshop, and nodded in satisfaction.

He then walked straight to the storage room at the very back of the factory.

He needed to take one thing—the Big Blue Cat.

It was the iconic blue plush from the first level of the Glass Game World.

It looked cuddly enough, but it hid Spade’s unique brand of dark humor.

The reason he wanted to take this toy to the meeting was that he knew, based on the original “plot,” that the Vees would likely send Velvette to represent them.

Velvette was arrogant and looked down on everyone; she would undoubtedly be insufferable at the meeting.

He was bringing the Big Blue Cat just to see her reaction when things didn’t go her way—and to add a little “fun” to the otherwise stifling meeting.

After retrieving the Big Blue Cat and stashing it in his shadow space, Spade didn’t linger.

He slowed his pace and began walking leisurely toward the Carmilla Group headquarters.

He wasn’t in a hurry.

This meeting was destined to be a farce, and he only wanted to be a cold-eyed observer, occasionally stepping in to stir the pot.

Meanwhile, at the Carmilla Group skyscraper, events were proceeding exactly as they did in the original story.

Alastor had been tasked with bringing Sir Pentious’s Egg Bois to the meeting at Carmilla’s building.

Alastor, the world-renowned Radio Demon, was powerful, arrogant, and manipulative, always exuding an aura of elegance and danger.

But right now, his face was a mask of pure annoyance.

His brow was tightly furrowed, and his trademark grin had become stiff.

The reason was simple: the Egg Bois behind him were just too loud.

A swarm of Egg Bois followed him, chirping incessantly as they hopped along.

One would point at a roadside building and ask curiously, “Mr.

Alastor, what’s that tall house?

Can we go inside and touch it?” Another would huddle with its peers and whisper, “Why are we going to a meeting?

What is a meeting?” “Will there be snacks?” The endless questions and the shrill voices made the veins in Alastor’s temples throb.

He had lived for a very long time, but he had never been this close to a headache caused by such tiny creatures.

Suppressing the urge to cast them all into the abyss, he gripped his cane and sped up, wanting nothing more than to escape the noisy little things.

Just as Alastor was about to snap, a gentle and familiar voice called out.

“Alastor, it has been a long time.

It seems your current errand is not an easy one.” Zestial stepped slowly out of the nearby shadows.

His morning coat was as immaculate as ever.

He wore a faint smile and gave Alastor a slight nod, his tone carrying a hint of amusement.

Seeing Zestial, Alastor’s impatience lessened slightly.

He gave a small bow, maintaining basic etiquette.

“Lord Zestial, it has indeed been a long time.

These little fellows are truly boisterous.

It is…

quite a headache.” “Haha, young man, one must have more patience,” Zestial said with a laugh.

He walked side-by-side with Alastor, and the two chatted briefly about recent events in Hell and their speculations regarding the meeting.

They tactfully avoided sensitive topics as they made their way toward Carmilla’s skyscraper.

Soon, they arrived at the entrance of the Carmilla Group headquarters.

The building was one of the most magnificent structures in Hell.

Constructed entirely of black Hell-iron, it soared into the clouds, exuding a majestic and cold aura.

Two rows of fully armed demon guards stood at the entrance, their expressions solemn and intimidating, showcasing Carmilla’s power and status in Hell.

At the elevator, the Egg Bois tried to follow Alastor inside, chirping about wanting to attend the meeting.

Seeing this, Alastor used his cane to block the elevator door.

His expression was stern, and his tone left no room for argument.

“This is an important meeting of Overlords.

You will stay here and wait.

You are not to wander, you are not to make noise, and you are not to come within a single step of this elevator.

Do you understand?” The Egg Bois were startled by his severity and fell silent for a moment.

However, one Egg Boi named Frank, who was particularly bold, looked up and said timidly, “But Sir Pentious told us to follow you.

If we don’t, we’ll get scolded when we go back.” Alastor frowned, unwilling to waste more breath.

Ultimately, he allowed Frank to follow him into the elevator.

The rest of the Egg Bois had to stay behind on the ground floor, not daring to disobey further.

The elevator rose slowly and soon reached the floor where the meeting room was located.

The doors opened to reveal masked attendants standing respectfully.

They bowed to Alastor and Zestial before pushing open the heavy metal doors of the meeting room.

The room was vast, dominated by a ring of massive black stone chairs.

Each chair represented the status of an Overlord.

Dark gold chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a dim light that made the atmosphere feel even more solemn and oppressive.

Balastor was already waiting in the meeting room.

When Alastor entered, Balastor gave him only a brief glance before returning his attention to the door, waiting for the other Overlords to arrive.

Before long, the adjacent elevators opened one after another, and the Sinner Overlords who controlled millions of souls began to file in.

The first to step out was the Overlord of Cannibal Town.

He was a hulking figure covered in rough, dark green skin, his face full of savage tusks.

He radiated a bloody, brutal aura—the kind of being shaped by years of slaughter and violence.
