“Do you want some grapes?”

“Yes.”

“If you’re preparing a gift for someone, we can package it in a fruit basket,” Jian Yue said, looking at her.Full novel: Heartfelt Sniper (PY to Official Relationship, High H) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Just being gazed at by his deep and restrained eyes made her whole body feel hot.

“Okay.” He Luo had just moved to South City and had no friends or relatives to visit; she just wanted to hear him talk more.

He Luo agreed to everything he suggested without much thought, as if she would nod to anything he said.

However, Jian Yue only gave her a little bit of each fruit, not much.

It didn’t seem like much, but once packed, the basket was full. He Luo wondered if her slender arms and legs could carry the basket of fruit back home.

He Luo glanced outside through the glass door and suddenly noticed, “Hey, it looks like it’s raining outside.”

The weather changed rapidly, giving no time to react. It had been sunny when He Luo left the house.

Jian Yue finished packaging the fruit and tied a bow on the basket with a ribbon. He casually asked, “Did you drive here?”

“No, but I live nearby, in the Haisheng area.”

Jian Yue tore off the receipt and handed it to her.

He Luo looked at his strikingly attractive hand, momentarily stunned. When she took the receipt, their fingertips briefly touched. In that instant, He Luo felt a burning warmth.

Her whole body trembled slightly, as if a current had passed from their touch through her entire being.

“If it’s Haisheng, I can deliver it for you.”

He Luo met his gaze, her heart pounding.

Just as Lin Yaoyang finished checking the inventory and walked in, he heard Jian Yue’s offer. “Brother Jian Yue, Brother Zhang Hao took the car. I can make the delivery since it’s not far.”

“No need. It’s drizzling outside. Move the goods under the steps inside. There’s an umbrella to the left of the door. Just hold it.”

The latter sentence was directed to He Luo.

The store only had one spare umbrella at the moment.

Lin Yaoyang looked a bit surprised, not expecting Jian Yue to agree to personally deliver the fruit to a customer.

He glanced curiously at the female customer.

He Luo wasn’t wearing any makeup, but her features were delicate, and her skin was fair and smooth. The hollow design of her top added a touch of allure to her graceful figure.

Lin Yaoyang’s tone became meaningful, “Ah, okay, Brother Jian Yue, don’t worry.”

Before He Luo could open the umbrella, Jian Yue had already stepped out into the light drizzle, carrying the fruit basket.

The wet road became slippery after the rain, and He Luo couldn’t keep up with his swift strides. She carefully lifted her skirt as she walked behind him.

Initially, Jian Yue had widened the gap between them, but seeing her slow pace, he stopped at the corner to wait for her.

Her legs, exposed beneath the skirt, were straight and slender.

And very white.

An unmistakable whiteness.

Jian Yue suddenly remembered the accidental glimpse of her breasts when she bent over earlier—full and round, even whiter than her legs.

A thought flashed through his mind.

He wondered if they would feel soft to the touch…

He Luo panted as she reached him.

“Let’s share the umbrella. See, it’s big enough for two.” He Luo didn’t feel right having him deliver the basket and get rained on, so she tilted the umbrella towards Jian Yue.

Jian Yue was tall, and He Luo had to raise her hand to avoid hitting his head with the umbrella.

But doing so made the space under the umbrella very tight.

They were too close, and He Luo’s soft chest kept brushing against his strong arm.

Sometimes, when he walked faster, she would accidentally bump into him.

Soft and very springy.

The man’s breathing became heavier than before.

Neither of them spoke.

He Luo’s cheeks were flushed, and she didn’t dare to look up.

After a few seconds of silence, Jian Yue took the umbrella from her. “I’ll hold it. If the road is slippery, hold onto me.”
