The high from finishing the song lasted through the night…

and died brutally the next morning when his next problem punched him in the face

Specifically, Money realityFull novel: Heir Of Thunder — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Denki sat at his school desk, forehead pressed to the cool wood, staring blankly at his school work.

He should’ve been paying attention, or pretending to.

But no—he was thinking about money

His greatest enemy yet

“Okay, okay… think” He muttered, voice muffled against his arm.

“I need a stable monthly income. Enough for a house. Or rent. Something”

If he wanted to transfer-hop between schools without forcing his parents to move constantly, he’d either need

A) A house close to them all or

B) A house close to one and commute everywhere else

Either way

Money

Cash

Yen

The 1 thing he did NOT have

Can minors even buy houses?

He lifted his head slowly, hair sticking out in six different directions due to repeated forehead slamming

“…How do people even make money at my age?”

Option 1: Get a Job

He imagined himself working at retail

“Hi, welcome— Shigaraki? What are you doing here. No wait why are you sticking your hand out! Why am I walked towards it!?”

Yeah no, he’d probably die just standing there for 8 hours straight

Option 2: Online work?

Could he sell commissions of some kind?

Midoriya is a good artist from what he could remember.

But it wasn’t reliable or wouldn’t be able to generate the amount he needs

Option 3: Making music?

He perked up, music platforms existed here.

If the song could get enough traction and he could put up ads and—

No!

He immediately shut it down.

Absolutely not, no more music, that was a 3 week decent into madness and he refused to go back

Even if the song got a lot of views

Even if the people thought it was good

Even if he got commenters begging for more….

He slammed his forehead back down

“Nope! No no no no NO. Not becoming a music artist, that’s how you end up sad and broken”

Option 4:babysitting?

He didn’t even entertain the ideas.

Hard pass

Then it hit him.

Option 5: Hero Analysis

Not the plain surface level analysis others do on someone’s quirks.

Narrow minded and 1 path trick pony kinda thing.

No what Denki’s talking about is the in depth theory crafting, the ‘why did nobody ever try this’ rants that filled the MHA forums

He stood up, lightning crackling faintly under his skin as excitement replaced despair

“Oh….oh wait. I can do that”

Because he could

Growing up in his past world after getting his first phone.

He basically spent years on the internet playing games reading manga and watching anime.

Seeing the forums, reviews and comments others left behind.

Theories people had about pro heroes—ideas that were never touched in canon.

Ways Mt.

Lady could fight using leverage instead of brute force.

Captures Present Mic could do if he trained pitch modulation.

Stacking and combining quirks that could multiply each other.

Fat Gum calorie strategies.

Ingenium movement optimizations.

Emitter, mutant and transformation quirks, all with information on how to improve them.

Strategy charts for Kaminari himself

He swallowed that last thought and kept going

And now?

In this world?

Nobody knew any of it

He could practically hear opportunity knocking on his skull

BONK

“Ow” Denki rubbed his head seeing an eraser had been thrown at him from across the room.

He sat back down in his chair but the excitement still remained

(People would pay…

heroes especially) he thought (Sidekicks too.

And anyone training to enter a hero school…..and UA.

If I give them ways to boost their quirks or new skills to master)

He imagined a pro hero staring at a paper he wrote

Then handing him money

Denki nearly ascended

This was perfect, he didn’t have to be a hero yet.

He didn’t need a job.

He just needed to be smart and helpful

And he was extremely good at both of those when it came to quirks

He could already picture it—

Personalized quirk efficiency charts

Analysis sheets The source of this chapter is novelpin‌g.com.

Training notes

“Try this move because it’ll synergize with your quirk” suggestions

“You’re wasting 30% of your stamina using your quirk like that” breakdowns

Stuff heroes would pay to know.

Stuff that could change entire fighting styles

He smirked down at his notebook as he scribbled a title at the top of the page

Kaminari Consulting corporation.

-patent pending-

Underneath he wrote

Quirk Optimization

Combat Strategy Enhancements

Quirk Efficiency

Hero Skill Progression tutorial

Then, even smaller

-Price to be determined based on how desperate and rich the hero client is-

He leaned back in his chair and grinned at the ceiling

He had a plan

A real one

A money-making one

And for the first time since realizing he got here

Denki felt unstoppable

~~~~~~~
Denki stared proudly at his computer screen
His website was finally done
Well…
‘done’ was a strong word ‘Functional enough to not crash’ was more accurate
A bold banner glowed at the top
⚡Electric Hero Analytics — Quirk Optimization & Tactical Improvement ⚡
Below it sat a list he’d spent two sleepless nights writing
• Personalized quirk analysis
• Custom training program
• Efficiency optimization
• Combat and tactical idea generation
• Hero–sidekick compatibility planning
And, at the very bottom in suspiciously tiny font:
Rates negotiable for pro heroes, free for promising hero students
He had ideas, hundreds of them.
From his past life, from the show, from fan theories, from the hours he’d spent arguing with others about UA kids and pros alike
He knew he could help improve quirks.
He’d already done it for Shinso.
He’d done it for himself
This could work
This should work
He was brilliant
Now he just needed someone else in the country to believe that too
Day one:
Denki posted his website link everywhere he could without looking desperate.
Hero forums, general boards, that weird site for underground vigilantes he definitely wasn’t supposed to know existed
Zero clicks
Day two:
He made a small advertisement banner, it looked like a poster for a middle school science fair
One click!
…which turned out to be Shinso checking if Denki had put anything embarrassing on it
Day three:
He wrote a long professional post on a hero community board, breaking down his analysis of a minor pro hero’s quirk efficiency
The only reply was:
“lol ok”
Days passed, with no signs of anyone clicking on his website.
Denki started growing frustrated, like why wouldn’t anyone want to get advice on how to improve their fighting style or quirk from a 11 almost 12 not really year old kid?
I mean they don’t know it’s a kid behind the screen but still
On Day 9 of absolute silence we see Denki sitting at his desk refreshing his email inbox he labeled
CLIENTS (PLEASE GOD LET THERE BE ONE!!)
One new message blinked to life
Denki’s heart jumped
Sender: Shinji Nishiya
Subject: Consultation request
Shinji?
Why did that sound familiar…..Kamui woods!
What is he doing here?
Denki hurriedly opened the message
“Hello. I was referred to your site by a coworker who saw one of your advertisements that said you offer tactical quirk analysis and enhancement strategies. I’m currently a sidekick who will debut as my own pro hero soon, and I’m seeking to advance my combat capabilities. If you are willing, I would appreciate a consultation. —Kamui Woods”
Denki just stood there reading and re-reading the email.
Kamui woods future rank 7 pro hero even rank 4 on the leaderboards, as well as 1 of the first few heros who were introduced into the series.
He’s still a sidekick?
“….”
This….this is an opportunity!
A big one!
But how should he handle it?
Should he meet him in person or keep everything to online advice?
How much should he charge?
He thinks for only a minute and writes his reply
“Of course! We would be happy to help! When would you be available to meet in person?”
Once he sent the email he immediately grabs his phone and immediately starts a call
“Shinso!
Just who I was looking for” Debki grinned wide “how do you feel about taking your quirk to the next level?
It might take some drugs and an excruciating amount of pain but it’ll be worth it”
“….what the fu—”
~~~~~~

Kamui Woods walked briskly down the sidewalk, adjusting the strap of his messenger bag as he approached the small café the “Electric Hero Analytics” representative had chosen.

It wasn’t far from the agency he worked at, public enough to be safe, quiet enough to talk strategy.

He checked the address again.

This is the place.

But before he could step inside, a small shadow darted into his path.

A kid—maybe eleven?

Twelve?

Purple hair sticking out in messy spikes, most of his body wrapped in thick medical bandages.

The boy looked like he had lost a fight with a cat and then the cat came back for round two.

“Excuse me, sir…can I as you something?” the kid said, voice raspy and soft.

Kamui blinked, then smiled softly “sure kid, do you need help—”

Everything blinked out.

No sound.

No light.

No feeling.

Then—

He was standing in front of the café door.

Kamui Woods blinked rapidly and looked around.

When did he…

move?

What was he doing just now?

He shook his head.

Must’ve been zoning out again from lack of sleep.

Being a sidekick during debut prep was exhausting.

He pushed the café door open.

Inside, soft music played and coffee steam fogged the air.

People sat chatting quietly, and at a corner table near the back sat the representative.

A tall man.

Very tall.

Wearing a full navy suit, dark sunglasses, and most strangely—a long strip of dark cloth wrapped around his lower face almost like a scarf that refused to be removed.

Only a sliver of his jawline was visible.

The man stood and bowed stiffly “Welcome Mr Nishiya-San, thank you for meeting with us—me”

Kamui nodded and sat across from him.

“Likewise. I appreciate the opportunity”

As they settled into discussion, Kamui opened his notebook, ready for either technical critiques or theory ideas the analysis came up with.

But instead, the man began simply by exchanging a few pleasantries then immediately went into new combat applications—some he himself had thought but never thought how he could make them work, and some he hadn’t even considered.

The man spoke almost mechanical, a little rough but what he said was shockingly innovative.

As they spoke, the man kept his almost indifferent tone—like he was reading off a script with zero personal emotion.

Occasionally his head tilted unnaturally, like someone adjusting a mannequin.

He tapped the side of his neck, like he was scratching something just under the cloth.

Hidden beneath it, tucked into his ear, was a tiny earpiece.

And on the other end—

Kilometers way, inside a hospital room—

Denki and Shinso stared at Denki’s laptop screen, both leaning forward like they were watching an entertaining movie.

The laptop displayed the café’s camera feed.

Shinso lounged on the hospital bed, arms crossed, eyes glowing faintly purple.

Denki sat in a chair beside him, wearing a hoodie and tapping frantic notes into a document labeled:

KAMUI WOODS — TRAINING PHASE 1 (BEGINNER) – Do NOT let him know you’re 11!!

Denki whispered to Shinso, “Okay, mobility upgrade. Tell him about the Oaks–Sligshot”

Shinso spoke into the mic and the suited figure tilted its head, then repeated in a monotone,

“I’ve seen you started using swinging techniques with your quirk to move around, but it’s still rough. You should try shooting compressed, elastic branches to hook buildings or debris, then using the tension for rapid acceleration and direction changes”

Kamui’s eyes widened.

That…was actually huge!—his slow repositioning speed during urban chases would be greatly improved

“That could help me outmaneuver faster villains,” he murmured, jotting it down.

“Especially in tight city environments”

Denki fist-pumped silently.

“Yes!”

After nearly an hour, Kamui Woods stood and bowed gratefully.

“These are incredible suggestions. I’d like to test everything you’ve mentioned. Would you be available to meet again? Perhaps at a quirk gym for practical trials?”

The suited figure nodded stiffly.

“We would be pleased to assist in your development. Please send your availability”

Kamui smiled—a genuine, excited one.

“Thank you. This will help me push toward my pro debut”

He left the café feeling lighter.

Behind him, the cloth-faced man turned…

and then simply walked out the back door, as Shinso ended the brainwashing with a tired sigh.

Back in the hospital room, the moment the fake representative disappeared behind the café, Denki scrambled to add one last note to the file.

“Ironwood Shield,” he mumbled “Tell him next time”

This was one of Denki’s more ambitious ideas—forcing Kamui to condense his wood and rapidly reinforce it, creating a temporary armor plating around his torso or arms.

He could also use it for covering civilians, blocking surprise attacks, or giving him a defensive wall when overwhelmed.

Shinso cracked one eye open, exhausted “you’re giving the tree man armor and a defense move?”

Denki shrugged “if All Might can punch buildings to the sky. The tree man can wear bark”

Shinso groaned “…fine, but this is the last time I make a deal with you for some ‘premium’ coffee or a paid 10 free trips to a cat cafe”

Denki clasped his hands dramatically “this is only the beginning my dear friend. The beginning of something great!”

A real business

Real heroes

Real results

And real money

Denki grinned
