Time passed—slowly at first, and then all at once
Within a few weeks of Kamui Woods’ test session, the analytics page on Denki’s website began showing small but steady activity.
At first, it was just curiosity clicks.
Then came the first serious client, a small hero from Kanagawa with a vibration-based quirk.
Then two more
Then five
Then—word began to spread
Nothing explosive.
No huge publicity wave, just a quiet trickle of small-time heroes passing recommendations to each other
“There’s this company online who gives insanely efficient quirk strategies”
“The one who created the business is anonymous, but he’s good”
“Real good”
Denki leaned hard into the online model.
It was safer, faster, and didn’t require Shinso breaking his brain every time.
Most heroes were satisfied with detailed reports, diagrams, and personalized training plans.
Denki’s previous long stay in his room making his song worked in his favor, no one really questioned why he stayed on his computer/laptop for most of the day.
When clients did ask for in-person analysis?
Denki charged a lot more
Shinso called it the “brainwashing fee”
Denki called it “premium hands-on strategy consulting”
Either way, the company account number kept rising
¥20,000 here.
¥28,000 there.
A rare ¥100,000—¥150,000 when they needed a full quirk overhaul plan [without in person consulting as well as depending on the kind of quirk]
Denki handled the ideas
Shinso handled the puppet work
Together, they built something dangerous and brilliant.
By the time three months had passed, Denki was already twelve and a half, inching toward thirteen with a smug confidence that made Shinso want to hit him with a checkbook
~~~~~
On a quiet afternoon, sunlight streamed through Denki’s window as he and Shinso were hunched over the computer
Shinso looked exhausted—he had spent the morning practicing long-distance brainwash-duration control—but he still glanced up with suspicion when Denki said
“Hey. I’m gonna call in Midoriya”
“…For what?” Shinso asked, narrowing his eyes
“For his brain” Denki said cheerfully.
“Kaminari”
“What? It’s true! His brain comes up with amazing and creative ideas!”
“You sounded like a villain”
“And yet you’re still here”
Shinso groaned but didn’t deny it
A few minutes later, Izuku arrived, a notebook pressed tightly to his chest, hair messy from running.
He bowed politely to Hikari at the entrance, then practically skidded into Denki’s room
“S-shinso-San! Kaminari-San! You wanted to see me?”
“Yeah!” Denki said, waving him over “We’re doing quirk analysis practice.”
Izuku’s eyes lit up instantly
“Oh! That sounds really interesting! A-are you trying to train yourselves for combat situations? Or is this a school project? Or is it a game? No—no, a training exercise! Oh—unless it’s—”
“Sit down, broccoli hair” Shinso muttered, pointing at a chair
Izuku sat.
Fast.
Denki pushed a stack of printed hero case files toward him
“Pick any quirk. Tell me their strengths, weaknesses, potential improvements, and three hypothetical combat applications”
Izuku’s brain ignited
He flipped open a file, pulled out three pens, and started muttering at lightspeed
“Okay, okay—so if his quirk allows him to generate a low-output air propulsion from his fingertips then—oh! If the user angles their fingers downward they could produce micro-bursts of air. Not enough for flight but enough for increased agility or dodge incoming attacks. Their biggest weakness would be lack of force behind each shot…No! If they fired repeated shots in quick succession, even weak bursts could create a mini machine-gun type of pressure—it wouldn’t hurt badly but accumulated airflow an enemy’s vision or interrupt concentration and—”
Denki nodded
Shinso blinked
Izuku had filled an entire page before either of them could swallow
“Ok I didn’t know he could do that” Shinso whispered “And you want him on the team?”
“Yes,” Denki said instantly
“No hesitation at all” Shinso deadpanned
Izuku finally looked up, eyes sparkling.
“D-Did I do it right?”
Denki grinned.
Izuku might have improved physically and has gained some confidence but with the environment of Aldera not changing, what Denki can do can only go so far
“Perfect. Actually… wanna do this with us regularly? It’ll help sharpen your mind and instincts”
Izuku brightened so much Denki thought the room lights flickered.
“Yes! Yes, of course! This will be great mental training! I can study quirks in depth and learn how to spot weaknesses and patterns—this will help me on my path to becoming an amazing hero! Thank you Kaminari-kin”
He had no idea he had just joined a secret consulting operation.
Shinso leaned toward Denki and whispered, “You’re exploiting a cinnamon roll”
“I’m training him” Denki whispered back.
“He’s going to find out eventually”
“Yeah, but by then he’ll be too deep in the friend group to leave”
“That is absolutely villain logic”
“It’s effective villain logic”
Shinso sighed heavily.
Izuku didn’t hear any of this.
He was already flipping to the next case file, muttering strategies like a miniature war general
By the end of the fourth month
Denki had 27 steady online clients, with more joining weekly
Shinso had increased his sustained-brainwash control by almost 40%
Izuku unknowingly contributed analysis to at least a dozen hero reports, occasionally blurting out ideas neither Denki nor Shinso would have thought of
And Denki’s company savings had grown large enough to make any adult suspicious
Most importantly—Denki’s long-term plans were beginning to take shape
Money?
Handled
Quirk testing?
Progressing.
Allies?
Growing
And UA?
Getting closer every day
Denki leaned back in his chair, smirking to himself
Everything was moving exactly as he planned.
~~~~~~
Actually not everything was going as planned.
You see Denki had forgotten one tiny, microscopic, unbelievably important detail.
He…
never told his parents he was running a consulting company
So when the bank called the Kaminari household at 8:12 AM on a Saturday to ‘confirm the usual deposits’ his mom nearly spit out her tea.
“Usual? What usual deposits?” she asked nervously
The banker happily explained
“Yes! Multiple transfers ranging from ¥20,000 to ¥200,000—all deposited into your son’s account”
His mom dropped the phone, they made Denki’s account since he wanted to make his own money and manage his own things.
They thought it was cute and that he was going to work around the neighborhood or a local store
His dad picked the phone back up
He dropped it too
Both parents stared at each other like they just discovered their ‘quiet’, ADHD lightning child had been laundering money for the Yakuza.
“DENKI, GET DOWN HERE. NOW!!”
Denki, brushing his teeth, froze.
Like he just rolled a nat 20 on an intuition and insight check as he realizes
He slowly looked up at the mirror
“…oh. Right”
He’d forgotten to mention the whole ‘building a hero consulting company, making business flyers, learning accounting, and running analysis for sidekicks’ thing.
Oops
He walked downstairs, toothbrush still in his mouth
“Mmowh—?”
His mom shoved a printed out piece of paper in his face
“DENKI. WHAT IS THIS?!”
His dad held another stack
“WHY DOES OUR 12-YEAR-OLD SON HAS MORE MONEY SAVED UP THEN US?”
Denki blinked
“Oh. Uhhh… business?”
Both parents stared
They looked at each other
Then back at him
Then at the documents
Then back at him
Denki spat the toothpaste into a plant
“Okay so—funny story—”
His mom cut in, hands on her hips
“NO. No ‘funny story.’ Explain. Right now”
“Ok just give me one sec” Denki ran back to his room and brought down his laptop, clicked through folders, and calmly revealed:
•Bank statements
•Business registration
•Hero consulting logs
•Training schedules
•Projected income graphs
•A marketing plan titled: We Will Be Rich After Puberty
His dad whispered, horrified
“He has spreadsheets”
His mom whispered back
“I can’t even use most programs for my work. We’ve lost him”
His parents stepped aside but absolutely not out of earshot
They whispered like two people trying to make sense of raising a child who regularly forgets he’s a child
His mom groaned
“We failed. We absolutely failed”
His dad nodded solemnly
“Our son gets bored… and then commits a federal-grade school project”
His mom counted on her fingers
“First he wrote a hit song online”
“Then he started training other kids to become heroes”
“And now? Now he’s only TWELVE and consulting ACTUAL PRO HEROES”
His dad added in a flat tone
“And legally charging them. Successfully”
His mom put her face in her hands
“We didn’t raise a son. We raised a chaos entrepreneur”
Denki raised his hand
“Umm… I’m right here”
They ignored him
His dad whispered:
“He’s either going to be the greatest hero in the world… or accidentally buy a country”
His mom whispered back
“At least he’s not doing drugs?”
Denki coughed.
“Guys—”
“And now” his mom continued dramatically “this child wants ANOTHER school transfer?”
Denki stiffened.
He didn’t ask for that yet…but he was going too soon.
That was next on the agenda.
~~~~~
His parents sat across from him, arms crossed, parental judge mode activated.
His dad sighed tiredly
“Okay, Denki. Tell us why. Again.”
Denki placed a folder on the table labeled:
TRANSFER PLAN #7: EDUCATIONAL OPTIMIZATION AND SOCIAL CAMOUFLAGE
His mom rubbed her temples
“Why does it have a title?”
Denki flipped the folder open
“Well—school is boring. And if I don’t switch schools every few months, people start expecting me to behave normally and—”
His dad cut him off
“No. Normal doesn’t exist in your vocabulary”
Denki continued anyway
“So I need a school where I can blend in more—preferably one where they won’t notice me disappearing for hero consultations or experimental quirk boosting tests” he muttered that last part under his breath
Both parents stared
Then his mom sighed, defeated
“…Fine. We’ll approve the transfer”
His dad nodded
“But ONLY because we’re too tired to deal with this and you are somehow financially responsible enough to run your own business”
Denki fist-pumped
“Yes—!”
But his mom leaned in, eyes narrowed
“One more thing”
Denki froze
She poked him in the forehead
“You tell us EVERYTHING next time. No more surprises like waking up and finding out you’ve become a multimillionaire overnight”
Denki nodded quickly
“Yes ma’am”
His dad added
“And please… just try not to start any more empires until you’re at least fifteen”
Denki thought about the plans he already set in motion
“…I’ll try”
His parents both groaned then looked at each other
“I guess we should look into renting a new house, since the next closest school is almost an hour away” Sei breathed out
“Yay…..house hunting because of our overly genius son can’t sit still” Hikari said, resting her head on the table.
