It was clear she hadn’t yet made her company, which was a golden opportunity for me. Nevertheless, it wasn’t the time nor the place to talk about it with her.

I knew at one point I’d have to talk with government officials, and since I had said everything I had to say, I had no problem following them.

"Lead the way!" I said with a smile.Full novel: Hell Difficulty Tower — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The three bulky guys behind me sighed.

All three thought I was a sucker for women since I was listening to her without a single complaint.

"Is she going to come with you?" Alexia asked, nudging her head toward Emma, who hadn’t said a single word yet.

"Yes, she’s coming. I’m sure you have questions about her too."

However, while she hadn’t said anything, her head was looking around, staring at everything. It was the first time she was coming to Earth, and it was different from everything she had seen before. She must be under a bit of a shock.

[You have 23 hours and 5 minutes left before returning to the Tower.]

"I’ll have to return to the Tower in a day. So, whoever I have to meet, let’s do it quickly."

Alexia seemed surprised as she immediately increased the speed of her walk and guided us toward a large black SUV.

She sat in the back of the car with Emma and me.

Alexia couldn’t help but stare at Emma, probably filled with all kinds of questions.

As we were driving toward our destination, I decided that it couldn’t hurt to get closer to her if we were to do business together.

"You can ask whatever questions you might have. I’ll reply to them."

"Oh, I don’t have any—"

I giggled. "It’s very clear you do. Go ahead."

"Right... sorry. Um, about her, where did you meet her? Aren’t you scared she might..." She leaned closer to me. "...hurt you?"

"I can’t hurt him."

Before I could even reply, Emma, who had heard everything, replied in my place.

"You can’t hurt him; why?"

"Because he’s my master."

"M-Master?!" Alexia glanced at me. "I-Is she like a slave?"

I understood how she had made that connection. Still, it was a little awkward when she would literally shout it inside the car.

I could already feel the glances from everyone nearby, all looking at me as if I was some kind of pervert.

"It’s nothing like that. I simply saved her, and I became her master as a result, which makes it impossible for her to harm me. However, she can still do whatever she wants."

Alexia nodded as she glanced at my [Blood Sword]. "What about this? Did it come from inside the Tower?"

I nodded. "You can take a look if you want."

I lifted the sword in her direction, the blade facing the ground so as to not scare her. It was clear from the look in her eyes that she was interested in Tower items. After all, her whole future would revolve around them.

Staring at it, she couldn’t help but compliment the sword.

"It’s absolutely flawless. There’s not a single dent in the blade; it’s sharper than any other blade I’ve ever seen. There’s simply nothing bad about it."

"Oh? You know about swords?"

She immediately nodded. "My father and grandfather owned a small smithy. I know it’s pretty uncommon. Still, they taught me a thing or two, and I can confidently say that they never made a sword of this quality in their whole life."

"It’s actually pretty high-ranked. That’s probably the reason."

Her eyes widened. "There are weapon ranks? How does the Tower work? Is it like a video game?"

I nodded.

We continued to talk about the Tower and everything inside it, from weapons to monsters to skills to mana. She wasn’t acting like she was interested in it like others I had met before.

Alexia truly seemed to develop interest the more we talked about it.

In fact, just as we arrived at our final destination and were about to head out of the car:

"If possible, could we talk a little more later?"

She slid her business card into my hand, and I immediately agreed.

It seemed I wouldn’t even have to make the first step. She would be the one trying to convince me.

We walked through a large, highly secured building as we finally arrived at the room where the most influential people in the entire world were waiting for me.

Alexia told me that she couldn’t come with me and that she would be waiting for me outside.

They opened the door for me as around twelve people sat around a large oval table, talking to one another. However, all of them stopped talking the moment they saw me and Emma walk in.

"It’s really an elf..." one of them whispered.

"How is this even possible?"

"Please take a seat, Mister...?"

"Caliste. Caliste Henry."

The man who had spoken was wearing a nice suit and was probably important. However, I couldn’t even recognize him, which meant he had either died early in the past or he wasn’t that important.

I sat at the end of the oval table and began staring at each individual.

There was the Prime Minister of Canada, the President of the United States, the President of France, and more. All of them were here to meet with me.

But there was also someone else in a similar situation to me.

A person I knew very well.

That bitch is here... I sighed. The Ice Queen.

I started wondering just what kind of annoying words would be coming out of her mouth.

Still, when I noticed that no one was speaking and everyone was staring, I figured I needed to be the one to start this discussion.

"So, what do you guys want to know?"

The USA President was the first one to speak as he immediately asked:

"Was everything you said to the media true? Will there be a monster invasion in the near future?"

I nodded, and just as I was about to convince them even further that everything I was saying was the truth, a timer appeared before me:

[There are 10 days left before the first monster wave.]

[Prepare yourselves as much as possible.]

Obviously, those who hadn’t even entered the Tower couldn’t see it.

However, luckily for me, she was also present, and I could see in her eyes that she had received the same alert.
