Jessica’s POV
“You smell different.” Charles’s voice cuts through the tension, low and dangerous, as he steps closer.
My body stiffens, heat crawling like wildfire under my skin.
I know what he’s sensing—my wolf, untamed, clawing its way out.
I can feel it pulsing, leaking, drawing him in like a predator to prey, and for the first time, I don’t want to hide it.
“I don’t smell different,” I lie, my chest tightening.
My hands curl into fists at my sides, nails digging into my palms as my wolf hisses in frustration.
My scent… it’s not mine anymore.
It’s heavier, deeper, and commanding.
Alpha-Queen energy spilling from every pore.
I can feel the pack noticing it, even if they don’t understand.
Charles takes another step, closing the distance between us.
I catch the subtle twitch of his jaw, the flare of his nostrils.
“No,” he growls, brushing his thumb against my jaw.
“You do.
And they notice.
The omegas… the wolves… every one of them can feel it.
Jessica, you’re rising.
You’re… a queen.”
My stomach twists at the word.
Queen.
It feels foreign, intoxicating, and… addictive.
My wolf growls low, brushing against my ribs, rolling my heat into a dangerous coil.
I shiver, trying to breathe, trying to contain it, but the power spilling through me is wild and hungry.
My skin tingles, sensitive to every brush of air, every movement around me.
I can smell Charles closer than before, the rough musk of his wolf curling around mine.
My pulse spikes.
“I… I don’t know if I can control it,” I admit, voice trembling.
My hands twitch, brushing against my thighs, feeling the heat flare between my legs, my wolf pulling insistently at me.
“You don’t have to control everything,” Charles says, his tone low, guttural.
His hand slides along my shoulder, teasing, dominant.
My body responds immediately, shivering under his touch.
I want to pull away, but a part of me leans into him, wanting the friction, wanting the tension to burn.
Jude appears beside us, calm but sharp.
His eyes scan me like a hawk, reading every flinch, every shiver.
“Your scent is stronger than I’ve ever felt,” he says softly.
“It’s… intoxicating.
Careful.
The wrong pack member could become dangerous if they pick up on it.”
My wolf growls audibly, vibrating through my chest.
It’s power, dominance, control—all of it tangled with lust and longing.
Charles notices the shift immediately, the way my body subtly leans toward him, the way my breathing deepens.
His lips curl into a smirk, a dangerous, sexy grin.
“I can smell your hunger, Jessica.
And it’s mine.”
“No!” I hiss, stepping back.
My legs shake, and my hands fly to my face, trying to fight the pull.
My wolf screams inside, clawing at my chest, pushing me forward.
Every nerve is alive.
Every sense is sharp.
Even the air feels thick, heavy with tension.
Charles tilts his head, amused and possessive.
“You can’t hide it from me.
You can’t hide from yourself.
The Alpha inside you is awake, and it’s screaming.”
Jude steps closer, brushing my hair from my face.
“Focus.
Don’t let him—don’t let this take over completely.
You’re powerful, Jessica.
Stronger than they realize.”
I shiver violently, torn between the two of them.
My wolf wants dominance, wants to assert, wants… him.
Charles.
The pull is unbearable, and Jude’s calm control only sharpens it, makes it more frustrating, more delicious.
My thighs tighten without my consent, the tension of my heat undeniable.
“Do you feel that?” Charles murmurs, lips brushing my ear.
“Every wolf in this palace can sense it.
Your body, your scent… they know what you are now.”
“Yes,” I breathe, hot and frantic.
My back arches instinctively.
“I… I can’t stop it.”
“You shouldn’t.” His hands move lower, grazing the curve of my waist, igniting sparks that shoot through my spine.
“Let it happen, Jessica.
Let it fuel you.”
My heat spikes violently.
My wolf claws at my sanity, urging me toward him, wanting dominance, needing release.
I tremble, caught in the raw tension between fear and desire, between rage and longing.
Charles leans closer, his chest brushing mine, each inhale dragging my wolf into his scent, making my body melt.
Jude’s hand lands on my arm, steadying me, holding me back without touching my core, but his presence is just as powerful, just as commanding.
“Control it.
Learn it.
Or it will control you,” he warns, voice firm, laced with an erotic undertone that makes my skin tingle.
“I—” I gasp, but my voice catches.
I can’t move away.
My knees tremble.
My body arches toward Charles despite my mind screaming to resist. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.
The friction, the closeness, the raw tension—my wolf hungers for it.
“You smell like a crown,” Charles whispers again, his lips close enough that I can feel his breath on my skin.
“And you’re mine to shape.”
Jude huffs softly, tension coiling around us.
“Not yet.
She’s not yours to claim fully.
But yes… she’s dangerous.”
I shiver, heat pooling inside me, my wolf raging, needing, demanding.
My fingers curl into the hem of my shirt, brushing against my stomach.
Every nerve is on fire.
I feel like I could burn the palace down just by existing.
“I can feel it,” I whisper, almost delirious.
“The power… it’s like fire in my veins.
I can’t… I can’t stop it.”
Charles’s hand slides along my spine, teasing, possessive, making me arch impossibly higher.
Jude’s presence presses against my side, control and restraint sharpening the tension.
My body trembles in the middle, caught between dominance, desire, and the pull of my wolf.
“I don’t want to fight it anymore,” I gasp, leaning forward, feeling the raw hunger for control and sensation.
My wolf roars inside me.
Every instinct, every desire, every heat-fueled need for dominance courses through me.
Charles smirks, lips brushing my temple.
“Good.
Let it burn, little omega.
Let it rise.”
Jude steps closer, whispering in my ear, voice low and commanding, “You’re more than they know, Jessica.
Let it out, but don’t lose yourself.”
I shiver violently, knees giving way.
My wolf screams, my heat explodes like wildfire, and my body collapses into Charles’s arms, trembling, shivering, burning with desire, power, and raw, animalistic hunger.
My senses are alive, every nerve firing, every instinct screaming.
I am heat, I am power, I am fire.
And I am unstoppable.
And then I hear it—soft, sinister footsteps echoing across the palace floor.
Someone is here.
Watching.
Waiting.
My heart skips, my wolf growls, and I realize the palace is no longer safe.
I lift my head slightly, chest heaving, sweat cooling on my skin.
Charles’s hands hold me possessively, Jude’s eyes are sharp, and danger is closing in.
“You’re rising… but so is danger,” Jude murmurs, voice low and deadly.
I shiver in his grip, aware of every muscle in my body, aware of the heat, aware of the power I cannot yet control—and aware that the night has just begun.
A shadow moves silently along the far wall, unseen, but its presence makes my wolf growl in recognition.
My awakening has been noticed—and my enemies are closer than ever.
