“Fuck!!!”
Sebastian screamed after hanging up on Zara. His blood boiling with rage and desperation.
He shouldn’t be mad at the poor girl because they came to consensus to erase that night from their lives and decided to move on but he couldn’t and can’t let her move on either.
He still remembered how she looked at him with fascination and she didn’t even try to hide the love in those sparkles.
He wants those eyes to look at him with passion all his life.
Selina stood there silently, still processing the fact that she met Sebastian Wild. The famous pop star and a business tycoon.
She scolded him many times for making Zara crazy about him and now he is right in front of her. Unbelievable.
But the question is how did he know Zara? Or how did Zara get to know him? How did they meet? And fuck what’s going on between them?
She is one hundred percent sure that Zara has never been in a relationship and only concentrated on her studies and wanted to marry someone her dad chose, so where did Sebastian Wild come from?
Suddenly she remembered the night Zara brought a man to their house and her abnormal behaviour the next day. Don’t tell her it was him?
“Excuse me Mister!”
Selina called him, her voice barely audible but Sebastian heard her and turned around.
“Are you the man from two years ago?”
She asked doubtfully, but is sure that it was him because as far as she knew, Zara was not close to anyone and also that was the time when LTW held a concert close to their city.
It’s not hard to connect the dots.
“What’s her name?”
Sebastian didn’t answer her but shot her with another question, clenching her mobile in his fist.
Selina gulped nervously, scared by his coldness but something caught her attention.
Why did he ask Zara’s name?
Don’t tell her he didn’t know her name yet?
Fuck!!
She appreciated Zara for not revealing her identity. She must’ve hid her details purposefully. She did a great job.
“Let her go.”
She spoke with caution, making Sebastian laugh like a mad man.
“I am glad that she has a loyal friend like you but Ms. Loyal, tell her that she can never live in peace from now.” Throwing down those words at her, he walked back to his car but stopped when Selina’s phone buzzed in his hand.
He saw the caller ID, along with Zara’s photo at the background and smirked, whispering her name.
‘Zara!’
Finally!
Sebastian turned around, making his way towards Selina and returned her mobile after switching it off.
She made him insane by rejecting and now it’s her turn to go crazy.
He got into the car and asked Lucien to get the information about the students studying in the college which is located near the beach, making the others look at each other in confusion.
Aren’t they past the college age already? Why is he going after college students?
“What happened? Why do you need this college information?” asked Simon.
“This is where Zara graduated from. Lucien, I want you to find out about her. This college must have her information, I want that at any cost. Do what you have to do?”
“Zara? So, her name is Zara.”
Simon nodded his head acknowledging the new information and looked at the smiling man.
“Did you talk to her? What did she say?”
He asked, and Sebastian’s face turned black, remembering his conversation with Zara and told his friends about it, making them laugh.
“I never thought you would have this day Sebastian.”
Simon burst into laughter, nudging Lucien and received a punch in his belly making him wince in pain.
“What’s the use of hitting him? She clearly expressed her thoughts. Why are you forcing her?”
Sebastian stopped fighting with Simon at Lucien’s words and looked at his friends in disbelief.
Why can’t they understand him?
“She loves me guys. Don’t ask me how I know but it’s true. She is hiding something from me, perhaps she is facing some difficulties. I can find out what’s happening with her only when we meet.”
He said, leaning on the back seat closing his eyes, thinking about Zara.
“Don’t worry I am with you.”
Simon held his shoulder assuring him.
For the first time he saw his friend going crazy for a girl and if she really loves him, he will help them to get back together.
“Hey, she said she is engaged. What if she really is?”
Simon asked suddenly as he remembered Zara’s words which made Lucien laugh and Sebastian glared at him.
“OK fine!! My bad! I’ll shut up.”
Simon rubbed his nose and turned to the other side, not wanting to stimulate his friend anymore.
……………………
When Zara woke up from her afternoon nap, she heard noises from the kitchen and rubbed her sleepy eyes, getting down the bed.
She made her way to the kitchen and saw Richard kissing Paula, pressing her to the refrigerator.
“Oops! I am sorry.”
Zara screamed hard before running back to her room and locked the door.
Paula pushed her husband away hurriedly and scolded him for kissing her in Zara’s presence and followed her to the guest room and knocked the door.
“Take care of your husband. I am fine by myself.” shouted Zara from inside, her cheeks blushing red in embarrassment.
“Open the damn door Zara Jones.”
Paula banged her fists till Zara opened the door, her eyes narrowing at her mischievously.
“Enough with your looks.”
She pushed Zara aside and walked past her into the room, collapsing on the bed with a thud.
“I don’t want Richard to kill me.”
Zara said closing the door and laughed when she saw her blushing friend.
“He thought you were sleeping.”
Paula covered her face with the pillow, feeling embarrassed for getting caught.
Zara chuckled and sat beside her, snatching the pillow away.
“I am happy for you darling but sorry for ruining your moment.”
She apologized with a sigh, her face drooping sadly but Paula shook her head, sitting up straight.
She hugged Zara, blaming herself for not thinking about her friend and romancing with her husband. She knew Zara wouldn’t feel upset but still she’s guilty.
“Richard told me everything and I am happy you opened up to him. He really admired your courage for standing up for yourself.”
She caressed her cheeks lovingly but Zara lowered her head with tears in her eyes, remembering her conversation with Sebastian.
“I shouldn’t have called.”
“Baby! Look at me! You wanted him to move on and tried to convince him. It’s Sebastian who is being unreasonable. Don’t blame yourself for the things you can’t control.”
Paula consoled her, pulling her into a warm hug.
They stayed in each other’s embrace, enjoying the silence but Paula suddenly remembered something and looked down at Zara.
“By the way baby, Do you think he would come here?”
Zara pulled away from the hug in shock, her eyes widened in fright and shook her head.
“No way! He didn’t even know my name and I am pretty much sure Selina won’t tell him anything.”
“That’s good!”
Paula nodded as in understanding and stood up, pulling Zara along.
“I bought your favourite Chinese cuisine on my way back home. Come let’s go.”
When Zara spotted sulking Richard in the living room, she scratched her neck awkwardly and apologized him for interrupting their kiss.
“I am sorry Richard.”
“It’s okay Zara, I have long night ahead.”
Richard smirked at Paula, making Zara laugh out loud and teased the blushing Paula.
The three of them sat at the dining table, making fun of each other and ate the food Paula bought.
………………..
“Her name is Zara Jones, twenty four years old. Her father Andrew Jones, business man, mother Meredith, homemaker. She has an elder sister, Jenna, mother of two kids and is married to Kai Turner.”
Lucien reported the details in one breath, holding the file having Zara’s information.
Sebastian had his back to him, smoking a cigar facing the window.
“I never knew that you smoke.”
Lucien said with a frown, staring at the smoke emerging out of Sebastian’s lips. He never saw him smoke before.
“This is my first time. I want to distract my mind from thinking about her and only smoking seemed best choice.” said Sebastian taking a puff and coughed.
“Smoking is injurious to health.”
Lucien placed the file on the table and advised him.
“Don’t worry. I hate smoking and she hates it too which is the very reason why I started it just to see her reaction.”
He said turning around and walked to the table, discarding the cigarette in the ashtray.
He then sat on the chair and opened the file, going through her details.
“Thank you Lucien.”
He sincerely thanked his friend and sent him away, looking at Zara’s picture in the file.
Without wasting a second, he took out his phone and wrote an email to Zara, his lips forming an evil grin.
After clicking the send button, he dropped his mobile on the table and leaned back on the chair lazily with a smirk.
He will now wait and see how she stays calm after reading his mail. He wants to see her reaction.
