While Sebastian is busy thinking about his strategy to approach Zara, his phone buzzed and after taking a look at the caller ID, he frowned in caution.
Why is she calling him at this hour?
He let the phone ring for few seconds before picking up the call.
“Mom.”
He greeted, his voice calm and soft but he can already feel the headache coming up.
“Hey! honey, how are you?”
Esther Wild spoke excitedly from the other side as she glanced at the girl beside her.
“I am fine mom. How are you?”
Sebastian stood up from the chair and walked out of his study, heading towards his bedroom.
“I am perfectly alright son. I called you to tell you about something, precisely about someone.”
Esther grinned when she mentioned about the girl and held her hand who is blushing hard hearing Sebastian’s voice.
On the other side, Sebastian sighed in annoyance, hearing his mother’s words because she is at it again, pushing him into a blind date.
For god sake, does he need one?
Girls die to be with him and it’s enough for him to just snap his fingers to make them stand in line for him but his mother never understood his worth.
He’s to blame because he changed girlfriends every month so his mother feared that he would become a womanizer so she wants to settle him with one woman.
“Mom! I know you want me to have a decent private life but please don’t bother to set me up with someone I don’t like.”
He pleaded entering his bedroom and the lights automatically turned on.
“Why would I do that to my son? Listen! I called you to tell about Susan Fox, the CEO of Fox Steel Industries.”
Esther never bothered about her sons private lives as she wants them to be happy with their loved ones but when she saw her younger son being in scandals every day, she couldn’t tolerate it anymore and started finding good matches for him but that brat rejected everyone.
She got tired and let him be but a month ago, she met Susan Fox who helped her to deal with a rogue and she liked her instantly.
Susan is so beautiful, even more beautiful than the models from magazines and is so perfect in every angle.
Curious to know more about her, Esther took her to a café nearby as gratitude and Susan agreed.
“What is your name beautiful?”
“Susan Fox. I am glad to meet you Mrs. Wild”
Susan said extending her hand for a handshake and the old lady grabbed her hand excitedly.
“You know me already. That’s great.”
She exclaimed in surprise shaking her hand, grinning from ear to ear.
“Of course I know you Mrs. Wild. How can I not recognize Sebasty’s mother?”
Susan tucked her hair strand behind her ear shyly when talking about Sebastian.
“You know my son?”
Sebastian would’ve died of heartache if he heard his mother because for fuck sake he’s a pop star and a top tier businessman. Who doesn’t know him?
“Oh sorry!! I am a huge fan of him. You know fans call him that and I wish I knew him personally.”
Susan expressed her zeal with a pout and Esther understood what she meant.
“You like him?”
She asked because it is obvious that the girl in front of her likes her son seeing the shy look.
“Who wouldn’t love him Mrs. Wild? He’s amazing but what a loss? Only one person is lucky enough to be with him forever.”
Susan dropped her eyes with a sigh making Esther’s heart ache seeing the sadness in her eyes.
“Who is your father my child?” asked Esther holding Susan’s hand.
“Eason Fox, The chairman of Fox Steel Industries.” said Susan proudly and Esther’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Oh I know him. He was a good friend of my husband.”
Esther was really excited after knowing that Susan liked her son and even more excited to know that she’s the daughter of their family friend.
“Really! I never knew about that. My father never told me Mrs. Wild.”
Susan was surprised to know that Sebastian’s father was an acquaintance of her father. Why didn’t she knew about it?
“That was years ago Susan. Your father wanted to work with us but my husband already signed the agreement with another company which caused a drift between us.” said Esther recalling the incident from the past.
“I really don’t know about that. I apologize on behalf of my father.” said Susan bowing to her as an apology.
“No! Sit down Susan. Why are you apologizing? No one was in the wrong.” said Esther and the rest of the conversation went smoothly talking about their daily routines.
Since that day, Susan and Esther has been in touch with each other, having lunch and dinner dates occasionally.
One day, Esther heard Susan’s conversation with her mother in which she expressed her wish to work with their company and also her love for Sebastian.
Esther immediately cooked a plan in her head because she liked Susan so much as she is perfect in everything and also she admired her working ability because she became CEO of her company at very young age.
In addition to that Susan loves Sebastian, so why not help her get him?
Susan can even help him with the company and if they can work with Fox steel Industries, they can produce more cars.
Esther pretended as though she didn’t eavesdrop on the conversation and got along with Susan like nothing happened.
And today, while they were having breakfast, Esther asked Susan to be his son’s girlfriend and she agreed readily.
Esther doesn’t want her son to miss such a nice girl.
She asked her husband to run a background check on Susan and they found nothing bad except involving in a scandal with Liam Harrison, who is her son’s biggest competitor.
When she asked Susan about it, she cried telling about her past.
She caught him cheating on her with his ex girlfriend in a hotel room just after they started dating.
She broke up with him immediately and came out of the hotel but Liam deliberately followed her, to see her off and that’s when paparazzi captured their picture.
It was Liam’s strategy to make their relationship public because she never wanted public attention but Liam crossed the line by tipping paparazzi.
Her father took care of the scandal and warned Liam to never bother her ever and just like that his chapter ended.
After hearing her pitiful past, Esther promised her about Sebastian right then and there and called him, to tell him about Susan.
Sebastian frowned after hearing her name because it sounded familiar to him.
He racked his brains and finally remembered who she is.
Isn’t she the one who asked his assistant to have an appointment with him months ago to talk about partnership between their companies?
He didn’t meet her back then because he has best partnership with Jenner group.
Why is she involved with his mother now?
“Mom, I am not interested in her or any other girl for now. I have an important meeting.”
Sebastian hung up the call ignoring Esther’s complaints, making her angry.
“Brat!! How dare he cut the call?”
She muttered angrily and looked at Susan with determination.
“Don’t worry Susan. My son will definitely make you his girlfriend. I will arrange a blind date for you both. I will see how he will reject after seeing you.”
Esther promised her and Susan hugged her in delight. Finally she’s going to get her dream man.
