Zara felt like she’s sitting on pins and needles when she saw Sebastian staring at her without blinking and thought she crossed the line by bringing him out.
She lowered her head in guilt and disappointment before opening her little mouth to speak.
“I will send you back.”
She stood up when he didn’t deny her and stepped forward to lead the way but Sebastian grabbed her hand, halting her in a place.
His touch sent shivers to her spine, making her inhale sharply but more than his touch, his opinion on her actions matters a lot to her.
“I want to have my time.”
Zara faced him in shock and a bright smile adorned her face and sat beside him immediately after wriggling her hand from his grip because she’s a mess with his touch.
He’s not mad at her and she did nothing wrong in his opinion.
That’s enough for her.
“What do you want to do?”
She asked him excitedly and clapped her hands and only then did she realize the food packages in her hand.
She hit her head sucking in cold breath and cursed herself for forgetting about Selina.
“Bash!!”
She looked at Sebastian who is already staring at her in amusement and flushed red in embarrassment.
Of course he’s amused at her every action because expressions kept dancing on her face every now and then.
One minute she’s happy and the next minute she’ll lose her smile as if she lost the whole world and then she’s worried and now she’s staring at him with puppy dog eyes.
“Can you walk? My place is just around the corner. I have to give this to my friend.”
Zara spoke in a pleading tone and waved the package in her hand, hoping that he wouldn’t deny her request.
Sebastian chuckled at her cute expression and agreed with a nod.
As they walked on the footpath side by side, he kept looking at her because there is something about her that’s been pulling him.
She’s a beauty, that’s undeniable.
Even though he didn’t see her fully, her eyes are enough to show off her charm.
He first thought she’s a kid from her height and appearance.
Don’t blame him for judging her because she covered herself fully with jacket, a shawl around her neck and then there is a cute beanie on her head.
Anyone who saw her in this attire would think that she’s still a minor who attends school.
But when he saw her up close, he knew she’s a gorgeous woman.
The night breezes hit them from time to time and the empty roads deafened the silence around them.
As they walked further, Zara stopped at some point, making him confused and stopped in his tracks.
“What happened?”
He asked when he saw her removing the shawl from her neck and gave it to him.
“Put this on. It’s cold.”
She said, gesturing him to extend his hands.
Sebastian’s heart fluttered, looking at her tiny hands which are holding the shawl towards him.
She is so considerate to think about him.
The waiter’s clothes are thin and it’s cold outside which is why she’s offering him her shawl.
If her looks poked his heart, then her thoughtfulness hit him hard.
He took the shawl without a word and wrapped it around his shoulders and her sweet scent engulfed him instantly, like a warm sunrise.
“Thank you.”
“You are welcome Bash.”
Zara lowered her head shyly and shifted in her place.
He put on her shawl.
Oh god!
She wants to scream out loud and let everyone know that Sebastian Wild put on her shawl.
The idea is tempting but she didn’t have a heart put Bash on spot.
Gathering her thoughts, she took the initiative to walk forward, not wanting to make Selina wait.
“Bash?”
Sebastian heard her call him Bash earlier and thought he misheard her but now he heard her again.
She’s been calling him that and he didn’t know if she meant him or it has some other meaning.
Zara scratched her neck, red tint crept up her ears as if her secret was caught by someone.
She always calls him Bash, trying to be unique from others and likewise she accidentally addressed him that now.
‘How can I be so stupid?’
“I am sorry. I…I chose that name for you. I won’t call you that again.”
Zara stammered awkwardly, chiding herself for being silly in front of her dream man.
“I liked it.”
He said as he walked past her, his lips curling into a beautiful smile which made her gasp in surprise.
She trailed behind him, matching his pace and looked at his smiling face.
“Really!!”
She blushed and fisted her pants, trying so hard to calm her beating heart. Visit g.com for the full chapter.
He liked her nickname and he is smiling.
God!!
Please tell her this is not a dream.
“Mmm.”
Sebastian felt unease when she kept looking at him intently.
Did she feel the same when he stared at her earlier?
Nevermind!
He fought the urge to hold her hand and increased his pace, putting his hands in his pockets.
They reached her house soon and saw Selina who is watching TV, resting on the sofa.
“Dinner’s here.”
Zara approached her with Sebastian following her closely behind and the starving young lady sat there stunned with a dropped jaw when she saw a man inside her house.
What the fuck?
Is she really seeing things for real?
She never saw Zara bring someone to their house even during day time but now she brought someone who is a man that looked like a creep with a mask on and it’s past midnight.
Zara knew what’s running in Selina’s mind but she didn’t want to scare her Bash away so she smiled at Sebastian, excusing for Selina’s expression and gave the package to her friend before closing her dropped mouth and whispered “Give me five minutes.”
After saying that, she took Sebastian to her bedroom, leaving shocked Selina alone in the living room.
Once inside the closed walls, Zara took a deep breath still processing the fact that she brought a man to her house and into her bedroom and he’s not just any man but a famous pop idol, her dream man.
Rubbing her hands together, she controlled her wandering emotions and turned to Sebastian who is as clueless as her.
Unlike Zara, it’s not the first time that he’s alone with a woman in a room but tonight it feels different and his thoughts are all over the place.
“You can use the restroom.”
She pointed at the attached bathroom in her room and he’s glad that she brought it up.
His bladder is about to burst and also he wants to escape this loneliness with her.
It’s killing him.
Zara heaved a sigh after Sebastian locked himself up in the restroom and opened her door to talk to Selina but she’s already outside her room, with her hands crossed, waiting for her explanation.
She closed the door behind her slowly and dragged Selina away, afraid that Sebastian would hear their conversation.
“Don’t overthink. Wait till morning.”
Zara spoke once they are far from her room and pleaded Selina with her sparkle eyes, not to make a big deal about Sebastian.
“You know what you are doing right? Who is he?”
Selina cares about Zara a lot and wouldn’t sit still when the girl is acting out of her head.
She knew Zara’s a smart girl but she couldn’t help but worry when she suddenly brought a strange man home.
Zara’s dad is so strict and if he knew about what she did, he will drag her to their hometown and marry her to one of the men he chose.
“Hey!! Just chill. I told you to wait till morning and yes, I know what I am doing.”
Zara’s well aware of Selina’s protective self and didn’t blame her for that.
She only brought Bash to give him a peaceful night and to spend few hours with him, that’s it.
Nothing more, Nothing less.
“Don’t forget about your dad.”
Selina’s reminder made her smile drop and she turned around, walking towards her room with gloom surrounding her.
“I know what I am doing.”
With that she slammed her door shut and just then Sebastian came out.
She turned her back to him, trying to forget about her dad as she didn’t want to ruin his night because of her personal issues.
She quickly stuffed her pockets with extra cash and took Sebastian out but not before assuring Selina about her safety.
“Are you tired? Let’s take my car.” suggested Zara, pointing at her little red car outside her house.
He must be really tired after the concert.
“No, I am fine.”
Sebastian refused politely and walked beside her thinking about his stupid actions.
He must be really crazy to depend on a stranger.
Well!
He just wants to be normal for one night.
There’s nothing to be worried about.
“Now, tell me what do you want to do?”
Zara asked clapping her hands and looked at him expectantly but Sebastian only stared into the dark night, deep in thoughts.
He has no idea.
“Never mind! I will be your tour guide for tonight. Don’t worry, I will take care of you.”
She walked ahead of him, introducing her neighbours and started narrating about the place.
She knew almost every house in her neighbourhood and also their secrets which made their walk pleasant and funny.
But Sebastian is still stuck at her words as they hit him hard in the chest.
‘I will take care of you.’
He has never been taken care of by anyone, not since he joined the agency almost nine years ago.
He was always alone when he was sick.
Well!
His fellow mates would occasionally come to his place to accompany him but still hearing a stranger say those words to him made him happy, bringing genuine smile to his face.
He dedicated his life to his fans, family and company and never once he cared about his own happiness and now here she is making him smile all the time with her blabbering little mouth.
After walking for a while, they reached a food truck and she greeted the owners warmly before ordering their authentic dishes.
“The food here tastes amazing. You should try them.”
She sat on the chair and made him sit beside her.
The food is served in less than fifteen minutes and he gobbled down the food like a hungry beast without caring about his image and ate everything she ordered.
Zara looked at him wolfing down the food and felt content with joy.
Seeing him live his life without a care is what she wants.
“Aren’t you hungry?”
He asked when he saw her staring at him but she shook her head and he continued to fill his belly.
He’s really starving because he had nothing after the concert and his body is screaming for food and again like a holy mother, she fulfilled his another wish.
As he relished the food, Zara started talking about random things which he liked to hear because he knew that she is trying to distract him from his worries.
Her voice is sweet and smooth like butter and he fell in love with her chattering instantly.
For the first time after becoming a pop star, he felt that life can be easy.
A stranger can turn your bad day into a good one and a simple meal can become the most intimate one with a beauty as his date.
After a long time he had a peaceful dinner, listening to her blabbering which is like music to his ears.
“I will take you somewhere.”
Zara said suddenly and stopped in her tracks while they’re taking a stroll after dinner and hired a taxi.
It’s half past one and is very difficult to find a taxi but since the universe is playing in their favour, they happened to find one.
They hopped in the taxi with ease and Zara told the address to the driver.
After twenty minutes they arrived at the destination and Sebastian was awestruck, looking out of the window.
She brought him to the beach.
What’s she planning to do with him?
Drown him in the sea?
He chuckled at his own thoughts and got down the taxi and the smell of sea waffled in the air, filling his nostrils.
Fuck!
He is in heaven.
Zara paid the driver and ran past him towards the beach in glee.
This place is close to her college and she comes here once in a week.
Now, she wanted Sebastian to visit her all time favourite spot.
She removed her footwear, ignoring him and stood at the shore as the waves hit her, tickling her feet.
Sebastian watched her from behind in silence for quite sometime because he observed subtle change in her mood when she faced the sea.
She’s enjoying this moment.
He can see it.
Silence fell between them as neither of them attempted to break it and just remained in their places living in the moment.
The darkness wrapped around them like a thick blanket and they found warmth in a cold weather.
“Whenever you face the sea, you can feel that the waves are talking to you. Tell all your worries to the sea, it will answer you through waves.” said Zara as she felt his presence beside her and closed her eyes, feeling the sea breezes kiss her cheeks.
“The silence can advise you, encourage you. Whatever you want, just seek it from this silence. You will feel safe.”
After saying that, she took her footwear and walked back to a stone and sat on it, giving him some space.
