Hermione was practically the ideal source of rewards!

In less than a minute, she had already given him two Silver Chests.

In contrast, Blake had already spent so much money in front of that chubby shopkeeper, yet he hadn’t even managed to trigger the lowest-level reward.Full novel: Hogwarts: Driving Hermione Crazy, Looting Legendary Treasures! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Holding the chests in his hands felt incredibly satisfying.

There was just one small problem.

He had already more or less offended his future classmates.

But when he thought about it carefully, what did that matter?

Those were two Silver Chests!

Hermione wasn’t merely angry right now.

There was also a sense of grievance in her heart.

She felt that Blake had stared at her front teeth for several seconds just now.

Even worse, after looking at them, he had actually smiled!

Of course, Hermione had no idea that Blake was smiling because he had recognized her identity and successfully obtained a system reward.

In her eyes, that expression was clearly mocking.

It was no different from the boys who had made fun of her teeth in the past.

Her front teeth were the part of her appearance that Hermione cared about most.

So what if they were slightly larger than normal?

What was so funny about that?

Anger, sadness, embarrassment, and all sorts of other emotions surged through her at once.

The little boy was extremely handsome, but what he had done was no different from what those annoying boys in the past had done.

Jerk!

He was so infuriating!!!

The problem was that there was no rule saying a customer couldn’t buy all the sweets in the shop.

Nor was there any rule saying that someone wasn’t allowed to look at her teeth for a little longer.

Hermione could only swallow her anger, huff softly, and prepare to leave.

Fine, she wouldn’t buy anything.

If he wanted to laugh, let him laugh.

She didn’t care at all!

After comforting herself with the thought that she was a witch while he was a Muggle, Hermione finally felt a little better.

When Blake saw her about to leave, he immediately chased after her.

You’ve got to be kidding.

This was a walking source of rewards!

How could he let such a useful tool, no, such a wonderful future classmate, get away?

At the very least, they should get to know each other.

There was still some time before school started in September.

If he could build a good relationship with her, perhaps he could find more opportunities to obtain rewards from her in the future.

“Wait! I mean, I should apologize to you.”

Blake stepped in front of Hermione and spoke seriously.

“I bought all the sweets in the shop, so you couldn’t get what you wanted to eat.”

“Oh, it’s fine… You came in first, after all.”

Hermione tried her best to act as though she didn’t care while maintaining her politeness.

But could she fool Blake with that act?

She clearly cared, yet she was deliberately pretending not to.

“Actually, I didn’t buy all those things just for myself.”

Blake cleared his throat twice before continuing.

“There are a lot of people at the orphanage where I live, so I need to buy a lot at once.”

“If I bought too little, there wouldn’t be enough to go around.”

“You… you’re an orphan?”

The words slipped out of Hermione’s mouth, and she immediately realized that they might have been rude.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…”

“It’s fine.”

Blake gently shook his head, indicating that he didn’t mind.

He had grown up in an orphanage in the first place.

There was nothing he couldn’t talk about.

Hermione’s anger quickly faded, replaced by guilt.

She had originally thought this boy was rich and spoiled, deliberately buying up all the sweets in the shop just because he could.

She hadn’t expected him to be buying them to take back and share with the children at the orphanage.

As for Blake staring at her front teeth…

Perhaps she really had simply taken her emotions out on someone who had nothing to do with the matter.

Hermione knew how noticeable her teeth were.

It was perfectly normal for someone to look at them the first time they saw her.

Perhaps he hadn’t meant any harm.

Maybe she had simply been too sensitive.

With that thought, her emotions gradually settled down.

“It’s okay. I can go buy some from another shop.”

Hermione said this calmly.

“The next closest sweet shop is quite a long walk from here.”

Blake smiled.

“Actually, I can give you my share.”

“Give… give it to me?”

Hermione froze for a moment, not understanding what he meant.

“Yes. I don’t usually eat many sweets either.”

Blake took a slice of strawberry cake from the display case and handed it to Hermione.

“Here, you can have this. I think you’ll like it.”

“Oh…”

Hermione accepted the cake, a hint of surprise appearing in her eyes.

How did he know she liked strawberry flavor?

Of course, she had no idea that when she had been preparing to leave just moments ago, Blake had noticed the reluctant look in her eyes as she stared at the sweets.

“Then… okay.”

Hermione hesitated for a while before finally accepting it.

The other shops really were quite far away.

Since Blake was willing to give her the cake…

“Thank you.”

She held the cake carefully and sincerely thanked Blake.

Hermione wasn’t angry anymore.

In fact, she even found herself starting to like this boy a little.
