When Professor Flitwick was seen off, the sky had already grown dim.
Will closed the door, his expression returning to indifference, and returned to the living room; he glanced at the photo frame hanging on the wall, where a woman with a stunning and moving appearance held a boy who squeezed out a somewhat stiff smile; Will’s thoughts began to drift.
On May 16, 1980, a baby boy was born in a private ward of St.
Mary’s Hospital in London, and his mother, Dorothy Behrens, named the baby boy Will Howard.
It is worth mentioning that the contemporary Duke of Norfolk was named Miles Fitzalan Howard.
Will’s biological father was called Edward Fitzalan Howard, the Duke’s son and the Earl of Arundel.
On May 27, 1980, Dorothy Behrens’s dream of marrying into a wealthy family was shattered; the Earl of Arundel did not marry her, and her son did not acquire the surname Howard.
Under the other party’s power, Will Howard became Will Behrens.
Two months later, Dorothy Behrens obtained a residence in London for her and her child to live in.
The Duke’s son was not entirely heartless, and a generous alimony was sent every month.
The other party agreed to support the mother and son, having only signed an agreement that strictly prohibited revealing Will’s identity; however, Dorothy Behrens was not satisfied, and after multiple fruitless negotiations, she began to become neurotic, drinking heavily and smoking.
Young Will Behrens did not know why he was locked into a dark little room, and scars hidden beneath his clothes began to appear on his body; his personality began to grow introverted and cowardly, until a magical outburst occurred.
During that magical outburst, little Will was wailing loudly in the dark little room, and the violent magical outburst made him enter a chaotic feeling; little Will was surprised to find that he had turned into a white phantom, and could see his sleeping self in the dark, though in his youth, he did not yet know that this state was called death.
Subsequently, another consciousness from a distant world descended; when he opened his eyes and woke up again, he found himself in a new world, possessing all of little Will’s memories.
His previous life felt like a dream, and a certain novel series he had once read called Harry Potter would become his most important reliance in the future.
He was Will Behrens, a chosen one burdened with a golden finger, a born Wizard who could see the flow of magic.
Moreover, after he realized his classmate was named “Hermione Granger”, he began intentionally searching for the Wizarding World, and successfully found it.
The pounds taken from his drunken mother’s hands could be exchanged for enough Galleon from Gringotts, so naturally he could afford magic books.
Furthermore, the existence of the “system” on Will allowed him to gain more positive feedback from learning; coupled with Will Behrens’s own frantic pursuit of magic, the wonderful sensation of magic flowing within his body and being compiled and exported by spells made him so comfortable that he forgot himself.
Seeking knowledge and exploring truth was a physiological need akin to eating and drinking for Will.
In places Dorothy Behrens could not see, Will was constantly studying magic.
Although he would still be beaten and locked in confinement, to Will, that was merely a matter of a few spells; the old wand he found became Will’s reliable helper, whether it was hiding his identity to go to Knockturn Alley or buying books normally in Diagon Alley, and Will cared not at all what would happen if he used a Memory Charm or Muggle-Repelling Charm on his biological mother.
One and a half years ago, Dorothy passed away due to a car accident; Will did not have any special feelings about it.
Born but not raised, severed fingers can repay it—Will remembered this phrase.
He had already repaid Dorothy’s debt, and he was not sad; or rather, every wound on his body, every scar on his body, was his sorrow.
Subsequently, a free-of-attachments Will indulged in magic, forgetting to sleep and eat.
He quickly mastered many things; his Charms were learned quickly and well, and in over a year’s time, he had already learned third-year Charms classes.
As for those courses requiring memorization, he was still not bad at them; not only courses, he also purchased a large number of magic books.
His talent was very high.
He could see the flow of magic, and even to some extent see changes in magic.
When he learned spells, he felt that kind of thing was extremely marvelous.
magic was the foundation of spells, and spells were like a programming language, shaping magic into specific things and then exporting them.
Will snapped out of his memories, pushed open the study door, pulled open a hidden bookshelf, and a large number of magic books were displayed on it.
“Eccentric Wizard”, “Dissecting Your Brain — Occlumency”, “Secrets of the Dark Arts”, “Moste Potente magic”, “The “Sinful” magic — Analyzing the Dark Arts”, “Herpo’s Magical Creation — Horcrux”, “Are Werewolves Naturally Born?”, “Soul Transplantation — The Talking Goat”; Professor Flitwick’s feeling was correct, Will’s interests were indeed broad, especially powerful magic.
Will pulled out that copy of “Moste Potente magic” and began to read it with relish.

All three effects were quite good, but Will directly ignored option C.
After all, he could already see the magical flow, and this was truly somewhat repetitive; could incantation speed apply to non-verbal spellcasting?
“Select B, spell Burst.”

After finishing selecting the additional ability for Charms LV4, Will continued to study knowledge, and experience continuously increased.
The study light stayed bright until late at night before Will went to rest.
Ever since the magical outburst, his energy had always been very vigorous, and occasionally he would indulge in books without sleeping or resting for a day or two.
In the following days, Will lived a solitary life day after day of “reading — practicing magic — eating — sleeping”.
Time flowed, and September arrived very quickly.
Today’s weather was a rare sunny day.
Will made himself a breakfast with somewhat weird pairings, and casually stuffed his noon lunchbox into the trunk; Chinese soybean milk failed, because using Reducto to blast soybeans didn’t seem to be able to make soybean milk very well, and he hadn’t found any magic for grinding soybeans.
However, steamed dumplings and fried dough sticks were not bad.
Paired with coffee, although somewhat weird, it was considered delicious.
Casting a Levitation Charm at the small trunk upon which an Undetectable Extension Charm had been cast, Will picked up the trunk and left this house where he had lived for eleven years.
