The wizards in the chat group breathed a sigh of relief.
Anton had come dangerously close to using that dark magic of immortality just now.
Although it was his past life, Anton was still someone they knew well.
They had instinctively begun worrying about his fate.
[Dumbledore: He was only one step away. But this was also Anton’s fate. He was never destined to become a dark wizard.]
[Harry: Phew. That scared me. If Anton had become a dark wizard, we would have been done for.]
[Cassandra: His magical potential really is extraordinary. Did you notice? Anton mastered time magic after using it only once.]
[Cassandra: I remember that during my first Potions class, not blowing up the cauldron was already considered a success.]
[Hermione: Poor Neville.]
[Voldemort: I’m furious! Furious! Furious! Why did he have to stop right at the final step?! Why did that damned wizard have to barge in?!]
[Grindelwald: Although I also think it’s a shame, I still have to say this.]
[Grindelwald: Well done!]
Inside the Sanctum Sanctorum, Ancient One stood with her back to Strange, gazing at the symbol on the wall.
The symbol was a huge sphere crossed by two long diagonal lines.
Strange was somewhat puzzled by it.
He walked over and asked,
“What is that, Ancient One?”
“That is the symbol of the Sanctum.”
“Throughout the ages, every generation of sorcerers has established Sanctums.”
“Today, there are three Sanctums.”
“London Sanctum, New York Sanctum, and Hong Kong Sanctum.”
“We sorcerers built these Sanctums and guard them in order to protect…”
Strange pressed further.
“Protect what?”
Ancient One’s voice turned cold.
“Protect humanity from the corruption of demons from other dimensions.”
The moment Ancient One mentioned this, several wizards in the livestream room couldn’t help but think of that terrifying monster again.
Strange asked in a solemn voice,
“Like Dormammu?”
Ancient One nodded.
“Dormammu is the most evil of them.”
“Legend says that he was a dark wizard from ancient times, one who transcended time, space, and even all forms of entropy.”
“He himself is a dimension. He himself is magic.”
“He is the conqueror of the universe and the destroyer of worlds.”
“He is the source of terror.”
After saying this, Ancient One paused.
“Of all the worlds he has conquered, the one he desires most is Earth.”
“And Kaecilius has always wanted to make contact with him.”
[Chat Group]
[Grindelwald: Those are some incredibly long titles. Conqueror of the Universe, Destroyer of Worlds. The monster from this world certainly thinks highly of itself.]
[Dumbledore: Gellert, you are still underestimating it. I can feel the boundless power within that thing.]
[Dumbledore: I can even sense the vast magical energy radiating from it through the screen. It is magic itself.]
[Dumbledore: If it weren’t for Anton and that Ancient One protecting this world, it would probably be in grave danger.]
[Harry: I don’t know why, but after seeing the Dark Lord Anton has to deal with, I actually feel much more relaxed.]
[Ron: Same here. Phew. Our mysterious man is at least a human.]
[Ron: That thing is bigger than a planet!]
[McGonagall: Fortunately, these clever Kamar-Taj sorcerers built three Sanctums and sealed that thing outside of time. Otherwise, I truly wouldn’t know how we could possibly deal with it.]
[Newt: Phew. It seems there are many extraordinary worlds beyond the magical world as well.]
[Newt: I wonder when Anton will be able to catch that dark wizard.]
On the screen, Ancient One gazed at Strange, her eyes filled with admiration.
“You were born to learn magic.”
“Your talent is even greater than Kaecilius’s.”
“I hope you will seriously consider this.”
A peal of bells interrupted their conversation.
Ancient One frowned.
“It’s London. Something has happened at the London Sanctum.”
The moment she finished speaking, the space around the two of them began to change.
The next second, Strange had already arrived inside the London Sanctum.
Wong and Mordo were already standing beside him in defensive stances.
But they weren’t guarding against Strange.
They were facing the man standing before him.
The man’s eyes were as black as night, with heavy dark circles covering them.
It looked as though he had applied smoky eye makeup.
The moment he saw the three of them, he didn’t hesitate for even an instant.
He raised both hands.
No incantation.
No warning.
Dark magic surged from countless directions like servants obeying their master, completely covering his arms.
There was no need for complicated spells.
In his hands, magic had been reduced to its simplest form.
A sphere of light.
He grabbed the sphere and slammed it violently onto the ground.
Boom!
With a deafening explosion, the entire Sanctum shook violently, as though it were collapsing like a mountain.
Strange dodged a piece of falling rubble.
When he turned around, Kaecilius and the two sorcerers had already disappeared.
He staggered out through the doorway.
The scene before him left him somewhat stunned.
Cars sped along the streets, while the air was filled with the exhaust fumes left behind by industry.
It was obvious that this world was not Kamar-Taj.
It was London.
In the blink of an eye, he had traveled from the Dragon Kingdom to London!
And at that very moment, a battle between sorcerers was taking place right before his eyes.
The intimidating dark wizard from earlier was beating a sorcerer alongside two followers who had the same heavy dark circles around their eyes.
In the followers’ hands were blades forged from magic.
They were emerald-green like jade, yet dark and sinister like serpent fangs.
One glance was enough to tell that they were absolutely formidable weapons.
The sorcerer they were attacking, however, had only a single staff in his hand.
It was a completely one-sided battle, one whose outcome seemed predetermined.
Three against one.
Three blades against a single staff.
The screen abruptly froze.
That mechanical voice rang out once again.
[Q&A Begins]
[Faced with such an overwhelming battle, what choice will Strange make?]
[Fight, or flee?]
[The countdown begins.]
…
Inside the castle, Voldemort tapped against the wall and asked the Death Eaters behind him the fateful question.
“What will you choose?”
The Death Eaters looked at one another.
After what had happened with Fenrir last time, none of them dared say a word.
Amid the crowd, the blond Lucius boldly raised his hand.
“Master, is that Anton clever?”
Voldemort snorted.
“His aptitude is acceptable. His memory is astonishing.”
Lucius smiled faintly.
“Then the answer is obvious. He will flee one hundred percent of the time.”
“There are three people on the other side, while he is alone. And he’s still a newcomer who has only just entered the magical world.”
“Unless he’s an idiot, who would stay here?”
A cold laugh came from among the Death Eaters.
“Lucius, are you sure you’re talking about Anton and not yourself?”
Lucius’s old face reddened.
“Please judge for yourself, Master!”
“Silence!”
Voldemort let out an enraged roar.
He had failed to learn that powerful dark magic today, and he was already furious enough.
After his roar, the Death Eaters hurriedly retreated.
Voldemort said coldly,
“Lucius is right.”
“Anyone who isn’t an idiot would flee.”
“Bella, answer the fleeing option for me.”
…
Inside the Gryffindor common room, Harry scratched his head.
Ron, who usually agreed with Harry, suddenly questioned him.
“Why, Harry? Those dark wizards have magical weapons. Those blades look like they’re coated in poison.”
“Shouldn’t he use some tactics or something?”
“That’s what Wizard’s Chess teaches us.”
Hermione retorted,
“No. Anton will definitely fight.”
“Didn’t you notice that those dark wizards have already discovered him?”
“He could Apparate away, or use his portals.”
Harry and Hermione shook their heads at the same time.
“No. Anton isn’t that kind of person.”
“He’s a Gryffindor.”
“He has a lion’s heart.”
“And courage buried deep within him.”
Ron’s face reddened slightly.
“All right, but those three dark wizards really are terrifying.”
“That heavy smoky makeup, and those blades in their hands.”
The two shrugged.
Harry clicked the confirmation button without hesitation.
“Yes. Anton will definitely fight.”
…
In the corridor, Luna stood beside Cassandra, ignoring Mrs.
Norris’s yowling from outside.
She timidly asked Cassandra,
“Senior Cassandra.”
“Will Anton fight?”
Cassandra glanced at the screen.
The three dark wizards were waving their gleaming blades, almost beating the white-robed sorcerer to the ground.
She asked in return,
“People say Ravenclaw students are the best at judging the situation and can almost see the future.”
“Miss Lovegood, what do you think?”
Luna straightened her blond hair and said firmly,
“The numbers are approximately three and a half to one. The man with the staff has completely lost his ability to fight.”
“And the dark wizard who appeared earlier is far too powerful.”
Cassandra nodded approvingly.
“Quite a detailed observation.”
Then Luna clenched her fist firmly.
“I think Anton will definitely fight.”
Cassandra froze for a moment before laughing.
“Hahahaha! Hahahahaha!”
“After understanding the entire situation, you can still give that answer.”
“That really is interesting.”
After being laughed at by Cassandra, Luna’s face grew even redder.
Her originally fair face flushed with color.
Yet her expression remained as firm as ever.
She raised her head and looked directly into Cassandra’s eyes.
“I believe in Anton.”
Cassandra gently patted Luna on the head.
“Mm. Golden-haired girl, your hair is beautiful.”
“I don’t know why, but if a student from any other house were answering this question, they would all think Anton would flee.”
“But I’m different.”
“I believe in him too.”
With that, Cassandra pressed the button on the screen.
She chose Yes.
….
Inside the Great Hall of Hogwarts, the Heads of House once again turned their attention toward Anton.
Whether this question could be answered correctly now depended entirely on Anton.
Anton stared at the screen.
A flash of inspiration suddenly crossed his mind.
