“It’s floating!” A shocked voice suddenly rang out from inside the classroom.

Nearly every first-year student turned toward the same direction at once.

In the center of the room, a feather hovered steadily in midair.Full novel: Hogwarts: White Demon King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Not wobbling.

Not shaking.

Not spinning out of control.

It floated gracefully several feet above the desk as though suspended by invisible threads.

And the person responsible for it was naturally Adam.

Standing beside him, Terry Boot stared with wide eyes.

Even the tiny professor standing atop the stack of books at the front of the room looked delighted.

Filius Flitwick nearly bounced with excitement.

“Excellent spellcasting!” Professor Flitwick exclaimed happily.

“Twenty points to Ravenclaw!” The classroom instantly erupted into noise.

“Twenty points?!” “So many?” “Already?!” Many first years looked at Adam with admiration and disbelief.

Professor Flitwick, however, felt the score was completely justified.

If Adam had merely succeeded in making the feather rise slightly, ten points would already have been generous for a first-year student.

But Adam’s feather wasn’t simply floating— It was perfectly controlled.

Stable.

Smooth.

Elegant.

That level of magical precision was something many older students still struggled to achieve.

“Adam, that was incredible,” Terry whispered excitedly.

His eyes were filled with admiration as he stared at the floating feather.

Adam smiled faintly.

“It’s nothing special.” “I just practiced it before coming to school.” That statement sounded simple.

But if the other students knew the truth, they would probably collapse from shock.

Ever since awakening his magical abilities at the age of five, Adam had already begun practicing basic spells secretly.

Although Lance and Ecter strictly limited his practice time because his young body possessed unstable magical reserves, Adam still practiced consistently every single day.

And with his terrifying SSS-Rank White Magic Affinity— Even simple practice produced unbelievable results.

His Levitation Charm had already reached Level Three proficiency.

At that stage, silent casting became possible.

And once proficiency reached Level Four— Wandless casting would become achievable.

Of course, Adam had no intention of revealing any of that right now.

Meanwhile, after seeing Adam succeed so easily, the rest of the class immediately became excited.

Everyone hurriedly grabbed their wands again.

Some students nearly knocked over their desks in their eagerness.

“Wingardium Leviosa!” “Wingardium Leviosaaa!” “Up!

Go up already!” Feathers flew everywhere.

One feather exploded sideways into another student’s face.

Another spun like a drill before falling onto the floor.

Someone accidentally launched their textbook instead.

The classroom instantly descended into complete chaos.

Professor Flitwick quickly raised both hands.

“Calm down!

Calm down, everyone!” His magically amplified voice echoed throughout the room.

Reluctantly, the students stopped attempting the spell.

Professor Flitwick sighed dramatically before straightening his robes.

“The Levitation Charm,” he explained patiently, “is indeed one of the first spells you will properly learn at Hogwarts.” He flicked his wand lightly.

Golden letters immediately appeared floating in the air before the class.

“However, today’s lesson is not focused solely on practical spellcasting.” Several students instantly looked disappointed.

Professor Flitwick ignored their expressions and continued.

“Today’s main topic concerns the origins and development of magical spells.” “The differences between ancient spellcasting and modern incantation systems…” “The structure of magical pronunciation…” “And the importance of wand movement.” As he lectured, diagrams and glowing symbols continuously appeared in the air around him.

Despite the theoretical nature of the lesson, Professor Flitwick’s teaching ability was extraordinary.

Even dry magical history became lively and fascinating under his explanation.

Adam listened carefully.

Unlike many first years eager to skip directly toward practical magic, Adam understood the importance of theory.

Without proper understanding, magical growth would eventually stagnate.

Unfortunately, not everyone shared that opinion.

Several students continued glancing longingly at their feathers instead of the lecture.

Professor Flitwick naturally noticed.

In truth, the feather demonstration at the beginning of class had originally been intended merely as motivation.

A reward hanging before the students like bait.

Something exciting enough to maintain their attention during the theoretical lesson.

Normally, he would not begin actual Levitation Charm practice until the second or third class.

But Adam’s unexpected success had completely disrupted his plans.

The students were now too excited to focus properly.

Seeing their expressions, Professor Flitwick finally sighed helplessly.

“Very well.” The entire classroom immediately became alert.

“If everyone performs well during the lecture,” Professor Flitwick announced, “I will reserve some time at the end of class to continue teaching the Levitation Charm.” For a brief second— Silence.

Then the classroom exploded with excitement.

“Yes!” “Long live Professor Flitwick!” “We’ll definitely pay attention!” Professor Flitwick laughed cheerfully at their reactions.

“Then let us officially begin.” He floated slightly higher atop his books before continuing his lecture.

“In ancient times, wizards did not originally rely on spoken incantations…” The class quickly settled into focused silence once more.

Even Adam found himself genuinely impressed.

Professor Flitwick possessed a natural talent for teaching.

Complex magical concepts became easy to understand under his guidance.

Time passed quickly.

Soon, nearly the entire lesson period had ended.

And true to his word, Professor Flitwick reserved the final fifteen minutes for practical instruction.

“Now then,” he said excitedly, “let us properly practice the Levitation Charm.” He demonstrated the movement once again.

“Swish and flick.” “Remember—proper pronunciation is extremely important.” “Wingardium Leviosa.” The classroom immediately burst into activity once more.

Unfortunately— No one besides Adam managed to succeed.

Some feathers trembled slightly.

Others rolled across tables.

One student accidentally levitated his own shoe instead.

By the end of class, most students looked exhausted and frustrated.

The bell finally rang.

Students immediately began packing their belongings.

“Mr.

Ambrosius.” Professor Flitwick’s voice suddenly called out.

Adam looked up.

“Could you remain behind for a moment?” “Of course, Professor.” Terry glanced toward Adam curiously.

“We’ll head back to the dormitory first,” he whispered.

They only had one class scheduled that morning, while their next lesson was in the afternoon.

Adam nodded.

“You guys go ahead.” After the other students left, Adam calmly walked toward the front of the classroom.

Without being asked, he began helping Professor Flitwick organize books and materials scattered around the podium.

Professor Flitwick looked visibly pleased by the gesture.

A few minutes later, the two left the classroom together.

Professor Flitwick’s office was located near the West Tower, beside the thirteenth window overlooking the castle grounds.

Compared to other professors’ offices, Flitwick’s workspace looked warm and cheerful.

Stacks of books filled every corner while enchanted objects floated lazily around the room.

Several tiny teacups danced across a shelf on their own.

“Please sit, Mr.

Ambrosius,” Professor Flitwick said kindly.

“There’s no need to feel nervous.” Then he suddenly opened a drawer.

“Would you like some cakes?” The moment the drawer opened, several tiny cakes hopped enthusiastically onto the desk like excited little animals.

Adam blinked once.

“…That’s adorable.” Professor Flitwick laughed proudly.

“One of my own enchantments.” “Then thank you, Professor.” Adam picked up one of the tiny cakes before it could attempt escaping across the table.

The cake was surprisingly delicious.

Meanwhile, Professor Flitwick also selected one and began eating happily.

After a moment, he finally spoke seriously.

“The spell you demonstrated during class today was exceptional.” His eyes shone with clear approval.

“To be perfectly honest, many third-year students would struggle to perform the Levitation Charm as smoothly as you did.” Professor Flitwick made absolutely no attempt to hide his admiration.

As a teacher, talented students naturally brought him joy.

And when that talented student belonged to Ravenclaw— The joy increased even further.

“Tell me honestly,” Professor Flitwick asked.

“Did you study the textbook before arriving at Hogwarts?” “Yes, Professor.” Adam nodded calmly.

Professor Flitwick leaned forward slightly.

“How much did you study?” “I learned all the spells from The Standard Book of Spells, Grade One.” Silence.

Professor Flitwick froze.

“You learned… all of them?” Because of his shock, his already high-pitched voice became even sharper.

Adam nodded again.

“Yes.” Professor Flitwick stared blankly for several seconds.

Then he muttered softly, “Incredible…” “Simply incredible…” The level of shock he currently felt was nearly comparable to witnessing Harry Potter for the first time.

“Can you demonstrate a few?” he asked immediately.

“Of course.” Adam calmly took out his wand.

“Lumos.” Warm light bloomed from the wand tip.

“Alohomora.” The locked cabinet beside the office door clicked open instantly.

“Expelliarmus.” A nearby quill shot cleanly across the room.

One spell after another followed smoothly.

Precise.

Efficient.

Controlled.

Professor Flitwick’s expression gradually transformed from surprise into complete disbelief.

He had taught at Hogwarts for many years.

Naturally, he had encountered gifted students before.

In fact, he himself had once been considered a prodigy.

But Adam’s level of talent was something entirely different.

“Enough,” Professor Flitwick finally said weakly.

He removed his glasses and rubbed his forehead.

“You learned all of these within the month before school began?” Hogwarts acceptance letters only arrived shortly before term started.

That meant Adam had mastered all those spells in less than a month.

“Not exactly,” Adam explained.

“The elders in my family are wizards.” “Before receiving my Hogwarts letter, I occasionally borrowed their wands to practice.” Professor Flitwick immediately relaxed slightly.

“I see…” That explanation made more sense.

Some wizarding children did secretly practice basic magic before school.

It wasn’t unheard of.

Even so— Adam’s achievements remained terrifyingly impressive.

Professor Flitwick looked at the silver-haired boy sitting calmly before him and suddenly felt a strange certainty.

This child— Would someday become extraordinary.

Give me more motivation!
