“Madam, I’m here to purchase my Hogwarts school uniforms.” Adam spoke politely as he stood before the counter inside the robe shop.

“As for other clothing, there’s no need for now.” The owner of the shop, a plump witch dressed in elegant purple robes, looked up from the measuring tape in her hands.

This was Madam Malkin, the owner of the famous robe shop in Diagon Alley.Full novel: Hogwarts: White Demon King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Hogwarts uniforms?” Madam Malkin repeated with a smile.

“Oh my, little Adam, you’ve already reached the age to enroll?” She lightly tapped her forehead as though suddenly remembering.

“How quickly time passes.” Standing nearby, Minerva McGonagall quietly observed Adam with interest.

The silver-haired boy carried himself with remarkable calmness and elegance for someone his age.

His posture was refined, his speech polite, and even his movements possessed a natural confidence rarely seen in children.

At the same time, another pair of curious eyes was fixed on Adam.

A young girl with thick, bushy brown hair stood beside Professor McGonagall, openly studying him with interest.

‘So he’s entering Hogwarts this year too?’ she thought.

“You two may come inside together,” Madam Malkin said warmly.

“I’ll measure you both.” “Thank you, Madam,” Adam replied with a small bow.

The girl followed after him as they entered deeper into the shop.

The interior of Madam Malkin’s store was packed with robes of every size and color.

Measuring tapes floated through the air on their own while unfinished robes hung from racks near the walls.

Several students stood on raised stools while enchanted needles stitched clothing automatically around them.

The atmosphere was lively but orderly.

The brown-haired girl stepped closer to Adam and spoke first.

“You’re enrolling at Hogwarts this year too, right?” “That’s right,” Adam answered with a faint smile.

“Looks like we’ll be classmates.” The girl’s eyes brightened immediately.

“In that case, let me introduce myself first.

My name is Hermione Granger.” She extended her hand confidently.

“And you are?” Adam looked at her for a moment.

Bushy hair.

Large front teeth.

An intelligent expression.

Combined with Professor McGonagall standing beside her, Adam had already guessed her identity the moment he entered the shop.

This was undoubtedly the future “Miss Know-It-All” of Hogwarts.

Hermione Granger.

“Adam Ambrosius,” he replied as he gently shook her hand.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Granger.” “Adam…” Hermione repeated thoughtfully, as though memorizing the name.

At that moment, Madam Malkin called toward them.

“Little Adam, Miss Granger, stand over here please.” She pointed toward two wooden footstools near the center of the room.

Adam and Hermione stepped onto them obediently.

The moment they did, several enchanted measuring tapes flew toward them automatically.

Hermione jumped slightly in surprise as one tape wrapped itself around her arm.

“Oh!” Adam chuckled softly.

“It’s just measuring you.” Hermione immediately regained her composure, though her cheeks turned faintly red from embarrassment.

Madam Malkin draped black Hogwarts robes over both of them before using silver pins to adjust the sizing.

“You’re both rather slim,” she muttered while working.

“Especially you, little Adam.

You should eat more.” “I’ll keep that in mind,” Adam replied politely.

Hermione, meanwhile, couldn’t stop glancing around the shop with fascination.

Everything in the Wizarding World amazed her.

Self-moving measuring tapes.

Floating needles.

Automatically stitching fabric.

For a girl who had grown up in the ordinary Muggle world, it all felt magical in the truest sense of the word.

Ten minutes later, the measurements were complete.

“You may return later to pick up your uniforms,” Madam Malkin said.

“I still need to finish the alterations.” “Thank you, Madam.” Adam and Hermione stepped out of the shop together.

The bustling streets of Diagon Alley stretched before them, crowded with witches and wizards moving between stores.

“So,” Hermione asked curiously, “what are you buying next?” Adam glanced toward the neighboring bookstore.

“Books, of course.” He pointed toward the large sign above the nearby shop.

Flourish and Blotts.

The bookstore was crowded with students and parents entering and leaving nonstop.

Hermione immediately looked excited.

“Books?” A bright sparkle appeared in her eyes.

Since childhood, Hermione had always loved reading more than anything else.

Now that she had suddenly discovered an entirely new magical world hidden from ordinary people, her desire to learn had practically exploded.

She wanted to know everything.

Magic.

Wizards.

Hogwarts.

History.

Creatures.

Spells.

Everything.

“All the textbooks required for Hogwarts are sold there,” Adam explained.

“Really?” Hermione immediately turned toward Professor McGonagall for confirmation.

Compared to Adam, whom she had only just met, a Hogwarts professor naturally seemed far more reliable.

Professor McGonagall nodded calmly.

“Mr.

Ambrosius is correct.

Your required schoolbooks can all be purchased there.” The moment she heard that, Hermione nearly rushed toward the bookstore.

“Then let’s hurry!” She practically ran ahead without waiting.

Mr.

Granger sighed helplessly as he watched his daughter disappear into the crowd.

“I apologize, Professor McGonagall,” he said awkwardly.

“Hermione has always been obsessed with reading.” “There’s no need to apologize,” McGonagall replied calmly.

In fact, she looked rather pleased.

As a teacher, she naturally appreciated students who enjoyed learning.

“Lance, let’s go as well,” Adam said.

“Yes, Young Master.” Lance followed quietly behind him while carrying the enchanted suitcase.

The moment Adam entered Flourish and Blotts, he was greeted by the familiar scent of parchment and ink.

Towering bookshelves stretched all the way to the ceiling.

Everywhere he looked were books.

Stacks upon stacks upon stacks.

Some shelves held spellbooks.

Others contained magical history, potions, creatures, astronomy, alchemy, and countless other subjects.

Enchanted ladders slid automatically between shelves while books occasionally fluttered on their own like restless birds.

Hermione stood near one shelf with completely shining eyes.

“This place is amazing…” Adam smiled slightly at her reaction.

The bookstore had already organized all Hogwarts textbooks by grade level, making it easy for new students to purchase what they needed.

It didn’t take long before Adam finished gathering all the required books for first-year classes.

Hermione, however, continued browsing enthusiastically.

Besides the required textbooks, she eagerly picked up several additional books.

One of them was Hogwarts: A History.

Adam noticed the title and nearly laughed.

‘As expected of Hermione.’ Even before school officially started, she was already preparing to memorize the entire history of Hogwarts.

After looking around for a while longer, Adam decided not to purchase anything else.

The Ambrosius family library within Garden Spire already contained an absurd collection of magical books accumulated over countless generations.

Its size likely surpassed even the Hogwarts library itself.

Unfortunately, because very few wizards had appeared in the Ambrosius family during recent centuries, newer books were relatively rare.

That was one reason Adam wanted to attend Hogwarts so badly.

He wished to explore the famous Hogwarts library personally.

“Adam, you’re only buying these?” Hermione stared at the tiny stack in his hands with disbelief.

Compared to her own growing mountain of books, Adam’s purchases seemed ridiculously small.

“These are enough for now,” Adam replied calmly.

“My family already owns most of the books sold here, so there’s no need to buy duplicates.” As he spoke, he handed his textbooks to Lance.

Lance immediately opened the suitcase he carried.

The moment the lid lifted, the Granger family froze.

The inside of the suitcase was impossibly large.

It looked more like a small room than luggage.

Lance casually placed the books inside before closing it again.

Mr.

and Mrs.

Granger stared in shock.

Hermione’s mouth slowly fell open.

“What… was that?” Adam smiled faintly.

“The suitcase has been enchanted with an Undetectable Extension Charm.” “Although it looks small from the outside, the interior space is much larger.” “How much larger?” Hermione asked immediately.

“About the size of a bedroom.” The Grangers were utterly stunned.

Hermione’s eyes, meanwhile, only grew brighter.

“Magic can do something like that?” “Once you become more familiar with the Wizarding World,” Adam replied, “you’ll realize this kind of thing is actually fairly common.” Hermione looked even more excited after hearing that.

Magic seemed capable of completely breaking every normal law of reality she had ever known.

“Put your books inside too,” Adam offered.

“You’ll still need to buy many things later.

Carrying all of those around will become annoying.” Hermione hesitated briefly before smiling.

“Then… thank you, Adam.” She handed her heavy stack of books to Lance.

Lance silently placed them into the suitcase without complaint.

“So where are we going next?” Hermione asked eagerly.

Adam’s eyes shifted toward the distant end of Diagon Alley.

A faint trace of excitement appeared in his voice.

“Next…” “We’re going to buy wands.” At those words, Hermione visibly stiffened.

Even Mr.

and Mrs.

Granger looked curious.

For every young wizard, obtaining their first wand was an unforgettable moment.

After all— A wand was more than just a tool.

It was a wizard’s partner for life.

Even Adam couldn’t suppress his anticipation.

Back at Garden Spire, he had occasionally practiced using old family wands left behind by his ancestors.

But those wands had never truly belonged to him.

Now, for the first time— He would obtain a wand of his own.

And deep inside, Adam couldn’t help wondering— What kind of wand would choose him?
