Raiden Ryoma awaited the arrival of Anti-Entropy’s newest Enforcer at his Nagazora mansion.
The youngest Enforcer in Anti-Entropy history possessed a cheerful demeanour that, combined with his age, made Ryoma question his competence.
Although he had proven such concerns from the other executives disingenuous, some animosity was inevitable.
Rising stars usually faced scorn.
While his talent was beyond dispute, Ryoma still had concerns regarding his character.
When he had asked Welt about the matter, he recalled his leader merely smiling wryly and saying,
“You’ll figure it out yourself.”
And so, Ryoma had decided to probe Seiya a little during the inauguration ceremony.
…And was promptly shut down by the Honkai-infused glare of the Herrscher of the Void, who had taken his probing as disrespect.
Ryoma, who had been warned by Welt beforehand, promptly decided to shut up.
He had been informed that it was in humanity’s best interest to appease Sirin in any way possible.
Therefore, he had resorted to his trump card: baby pictures of Mei.
Seiya had instantly been enraptured, and under the guise of idle small talk, Ryoma had invited him to Nagazora.
The baby pictures hadn’t entirely been part of his plan, but he was a doting new father, god damn it!
What he didn’t expect was—
“OHMYGODIGETTOSEELITTLEMEI!?
Sirin!
We’re going!”
—for Seiya to bring Sirin along.
Sirin, seeing how excited her brother was, agreed without protest.
A fond smile spread across her face as she watched his innocent enthusiasm.
“Okay!”
And so now, Ryoma stood at the mansion’s entrance.
He had sent a chauffeur to the airport to receive the two—he had been informed that Seiya had left his secretary to handle the work—and dispatched his finest car for the occasion.
Now, with Mei babbling cutely on the wooden floor behind him, he waited.
Around twenty minutes later, the main hall doors opened, and Seiya walked inside, with Sirin floating behind him like a long shadow in the evening sun.
The Anti-Entropy insignias strewn across his clothing had been specifically requested by Seiya to be the same shade of gold as Sirin’s eyes.
Therefore, Dr.
Tesla, with irritated grumbling, had arranged exactly that.
Now with proper hygiene and access to beauty products, Seiya’s visage was ethereal.
The long purple hair and bright golden eyes were the very image of the ephemeral saint Otto made him out to be.
“Welcome, Seiya-san, to Japan.
More specifically, Nagazora.
I am truly delighted that you’ve taken the time out of your busy schedule to—”
Ryoma was interrupted by a squeal of delight from Seiya.
“Where’s Mei!?—There she is!”
He rushed towards Mei and giggled as he picked her up in his arms, the babbling toddler quieting down immediately.
Why was his daughter automatically so fond of Seiya?
Seiya should pay attention to her!
A certain golden eyed Void Goddess pouted.
Ah, right.
I suppose Seiya-san is a big brother first…
‘Well… I suppose a toddler hearing a private meeting won’t hurt.
She can barely understand the words.’
Sirin wrapped her arms around Seiya’s neck as she floated behind him, her face nuzzling the back of his head as if competing with Mei for her most precious person.
She could handle this!
This was just a harmless child!
Not like that Cecilia woman!
The older Enforcer was exasperated.
This was going to be a long meeting.
He’d be far too distracted by his adorable daughter.
