The bustling city streets were packed with traffic and noisy crowds.

Bai He, a seasoned anime and gaming enthusiast, weaved through the flow of people with light steps.

Her goal for the day was clear: the grand Honkai: Star Rail themed convention happening downtown.Full novel: Honkai Star Rail: Robin Has a Wicked Sister — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I heard they invited a god-tier cosplayer this time, and their Robin is absolutely stunning!

I’d be losing out big time if I didn’t go!” she muttered to herself while following her phone’s navigation to the nearest intersection.

The red light came on, and she stopped at the crosswalk, her mind already drifting to the convention hall, imagining Robin’s enchanting voice and that iconic halo…

Then, in an instant, everything changed.

A screech of tires mixed with the roar of an engine grew closer at terrifying speed.

A massive dump truck, like a steel beast out of control, blew through the red light and barreled straight toward the sidewalk!

Screams erupted from the crowd.

Bai He’s pupils contracted sharply, but years of gaming experience kicked in with instinctive reflexes.

Instead of running forward, she leaped backward in one swift motion, narrowly avoiding the truck’s trajectory.

The wheels crushed the spot where she had been standing just moments before, the gust of wind ruffling her hair.

“Whew…

that was a disaster…” She let out a sigh of relief and muttered under her breath, casually kicking a manhole cover that had been knocked loose by the vibration back into place with a loud clang.

But before her words had even faded, something cold and hard pressed against the back of her head.

“Girl, it’s time to transmigrate.” Bai He’s body went rigid.

She slowly turned her head.

What greeted her was a girl with fluffy pink fox ears, smiling brightly at her.

But there was no warmth in that smile, only an unmistakable, unsettling finality.

In her hand, an antique revolver of peculiar design was aimed steadily at Bai He.

“…” Bai He’s brain raced at full speed.

Transmigrate?

Dump truck?

Fox-eared girl?

This had every trope imaginable!

The next second, her eyes sharpened.

She suddenly reached out and grabbed the handrail of a passing tram, using the momentum to swing her body outward!

“Heh!

Hahaha!” Bai He let out a triumphant laugh.

“Got you!

This is my escape route!” She thought she could break free with that sudden move, at least buy herself a little time.

But the fox-eared girl’s smile didn’t waver in the slightest.

If anything, it widened.

She softly uttered a few words: “Cute.

I can stop time, sweetheart.” Bai He: “?” She didn’t even see what the girl did.

Her vision blurred, the world spun, and in the next moment, she found herself kneeling on the ground, bound by ropes she couldn’t identify, back in front of the fox-eared girl.

The fox-eared girl tapped Bai He’s head lightly with the barrel of her revolver, producing a soft “tap tap,” and spoke with a hint of teasing: “I said it’s time for you to transmigrate.

Are you deaf?” Bai He felt like crying but had no tears.

Still, her survival instinct (or perhaps her obsession with the convention) made her immediately switch to a fawning expression: “Fox Immortal!

Please give me just half a day!

Just half a day!

Let me go to the convention, see that stunning Robin cosplayer with my own eyes, and then I’ll go to the other world, I promise!” The fox-eared girl raised an eyebrow, apparently amused by her reaction.

“The Honkai: Star Rail world.

You’ll be Robin and Sunday’s biological older sister.

You’ll get a system.

And I’ll even clean up your karma in this world.

How about that, pretty good deal, right?” Bai He’s eyes lit up brighter than an Astral Express headlight.

“Robin’s sister?!

And a system?!

Fox Immortal!

Suddenly the convention seems so boring!

Please, immediately, right now, send me to the Honkai: Star Rail world so I can go play with my little sister Robin!” Her speed at changing her attitude was truly a sight to behold.

The fox-eared girl’s lip twitched.

“…Amazing.

That’s some serious face-switching.

Whatever, I can’t be bothered…” She seemed to give up on wasting any more words with Bai He.

She extended her pale finger, and a soft orb of light gathered at its tip before she unceremoniously pressed it into Bai He’s brow.

A massive flood of information surged into Bai He’s mind, followed by an overwhelming wave of dizziness.

Just before she completely lost consciousness, she saw the fox-eared girl casually tear open a shimmering portal of light.

Then, like tossing out trash, she picked Bai He up and threw her in.

“Go on, ‘wicked sister.’ Take good ‘care’ of your little brother and sister…” The fox-eared girl’s voice, laced with laughter, faded into the distance.

Bai He’s consciousness sank fully into darkness.

(T/N: The Fox strikes again I see.)
