Bayle took the controller, sat down beside her, and glanced at the game that had already loaded.

It was a multiplayer cooperative battle game.

Two people were already in the team; one was Silver Wolf, and it wasn’t clear who the other was.Full novel: Honkai: Star Rail: They Want Me to Save Herta? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

A blind guess would be one of the Stellaron Hunters, but who exactly…

Hard to guess.

“Didn’t you say you were one short?

Where is the fourth person?” Silver Wolf put on her headset and said quite coolly, “It will be online soon.” Beep beep…

Stelle: “Eh?

It’s actually you!

King!

Did you reject me because of Silver Wolf?” Bayle: “…?” Bayle was stunned for two seconds.

Silver Wolf said without changing her expression, “Don’t worry about it, Stelle is just that abstract.

You two know each other?

Then we can skip the self-introduction module and just start the game.” Stelle joined the voice chat directly.

“Are you two together?

Why didn’t it come find me?

Does it have any concerns?” Silver Wolf gave a grunt.

“Yeah, I’m afraid I’ll get arrested as soon as I go over there.

Hurry up and get ready; I’m starting.” Stelle: “Wait a second!

King!

You still haven’t answered me, why are you called King and not Playing Card?” Bayle was at a loss.

He knew Stelle was abstract, but he didn’t expect it to be this abstract.

Could he bribe it with some train tickets now?

He casually opened his phone, intending to see what Stelle had sent him, but the chat box at the very top wasn’t from Stelle, but from Silver Wolf.

Silver Wolf: “New dungeon is open, come quickly.” Silver Wolf: “Kafka said there’s a meeting later, let’s hurry up and get first place before then.” Silver Wolf: “Are you lost?

Why aren’t you here yet?” Silver Wolf: “Don’t stand me up.” Bayle looked at the messages on the screen and couldn’t help but laugh.

Silver Wolf seemed cool on the surface, but she was more enthusiastic than anyone when it came to gaming.

But then again, games were the only thing she was interested in.

“What’s up?” Silver Wolf asked without looking up, her fingers operating rapidly on the screen.

“See something funny?” “It’s nothing,” Bayle put away his phone and picked up the game controller.

“I just think you Stellaron Hunters are much more interesting than I imagined.” Silver Wolf snorted and blew a bubble with her gum.

“Don’t think of me like that Old Timer Blade.

So, are you playing or not?” “I’m playing, of course I’m playing.” Bayle adjusted his sitting posture, looked at the game interface on the screen, and curled his lips slightly.

“But I have to warn you, I’m very good at video games.” “Perfect,” Silver Wolf finally looked up, a provocative smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

“Let me see just how good you are.” Just then, Stelle’s voice cut in again.

“Wait!

Are you two secretly teaming up without me?

Silver Wolf, you’re so mean!” Silver Wolf rolled her eyes.

“Didn’t I already pull you into the team?

Hurry up and get ready.” Watching Stelle join the game, Bayle asked curiously, “Aren’t you two enemies?

How come you’re playing games together?” Silver Wolf glanced at him.

“It’s just playing games.

I’m not taking it to destroy the world, why worry so much?

Starting now.” Entering the game, it was a gunfight from the very start.

After being teased three times by Silver Wolf for being bad and needing to practice more, Bayle went straight for extreme dodges and charged in for close-quarters combat.

It was a competitive game; not only did you have to clear the level, but you also had to stop others from clearing it.

In other words, the mobs, bosses, and other players’ teams in the game were all enemies.

After taking out the first wave of people, Stelle was having a blast.

“So,” Silver Wolf spoke suddenly, her eyes still fixed on the game screen.

“You traveled all this way just to play games?” Bayle controlled his character to dodge a trap and answered nonchalantly, “Of course not, but does it matter?” Silver Wolf snorted and didn’t press further.

Halfway through the game, Bayle asked suddenly, “Speaking of which, has Elio ever mentioned me?” Silver Wolf’s operations paused significantly, and her character was almost hit by a monster.

“Why do you ask?” “Just curious,” Bayle said lightly, while accurately unleashing a combo.

“After all, people like me who aren’t in the script should be quite rare, right?” Silver Wolf glanced at Bayle, her eyes complex.

“Elio’s script…” Silver Wolf started slowly, then suddenly stopped.

“Forget it, let’s finish this round first.” Bayle nodded and didn’t press further.

Compared to the script, Silver Wolf seemed obviously more concerned with whether they could win this game.

The game eventually ended with their victory.

Silver Wolf looked at the ranking on the screen with satisfaction and finally put down the controller.

“Your skills are okay.

Let’s play again sometime.” A voice suddenly came from Stelle’s side.

After a burst of noise.

Stelle: “I’m done playing, I have something to do, logging off.

Let’s play again next time.” Silver Wolf: “…?

Wait!

We only played one round!” But Stelle had already disconnected.

Fine, they couldn’t play anymore.

Silver Wolf sighed with some disappointment.

“Alright, Jiang…

Jiang what was it again?” “Bayle.” Silver Wolf nodded, not sure if she remembered or not.

She took off her headset, got up to tidy up, and then kicked Bayle out of the room.

“If you have anything to discuss, just go talk to Kafka or Elio directly.

I’m busy doing dailies for other games, so I won’t entertain you anymore.

Goodbye.” Bayle looked at the tightly closed door and fell into deep thought.

That was a bit too fast to be using someone and tossing them aside, wasn’t it?

“Don’t mind her, that’s just how Silver Wolf is.” Bayle turned his head and saw Kafka standing not far behind him, her arms crossed, smiling gently.

“Come over here.

I’ve prepared some hot tea for you.” Kafka didn’t care nor ask why Bayle was here.

She simply led Bayle to a reception room and pushed a steaming cup of black tea in front of him.

“…Kafka, you don’t seem surprised by my arrival at all.” Kafka gave a grunt.

“Don’t worry, our goals are the same.

The galaxy hasn’t headed toward the safest ending, but that doesn’t mean this path doesn’t have a destination.” She poured herself a cup of hot tea as well and took a gentle sip.

“You may have already seen the worst ending, but that doesn’t mean…” “…that this is the only possible future.” Bayle was silent for a moment.

He knew these prophets knew something.

“What did Elio say?

What should I do?

And what do you guys know?” Kafka just drank her tea calmly.

“Don’t rush, you still have enough time.” The Stellaron Hunters’ goal has never been just the Stellaron; they see further than anyone else.

But what did that mean?

Enough time…

If you look at it from the galaxy’s timeline, no matter how you think about it, there isn’t much time left, right?

“Can I meet Elio?” The prophet was right in front of him; Bayle really didn’t want to miss the chance.

What if there was a better way?

But Kafka just shook her head.

“What you need isn’t to predict the future, and the future can be changed.”

Maybe it’s not a big deal now… maybe it will be later.

“And If you’re enjoying it, drop a Power Stone for me!”
