” — “Well, well.

If it isn’t Anti-Entropy Executor Cocolia.” After cutting the communications, Himeko finally noticed the figure shrinking back behind the crowd.

“…” Cocolia’s face was pale.Full novel: Honkai: The Multiverse Chat Group — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She tried to hide behind the others to avoid attention, but she was still noticed.

She looked miserable.

Her hair was messy, a thin line of blood ran from her mouth, and she held her left side with her right hand.

Sweat covered her forehead.

Silver Wolf had cracked her ribs earlier, and each breath hurt.

“I demand…

medical…

assistance,” Cocolia rasped, her vision darkening at the edges.

“SHUT UP!!” Silver Wolf shot her a vicious glare.

“…” Nearby, Bronya’s face showed mixed feelings.

She clenched her small hands into fists.

She still cared a little about Cocolia, but remembering her cold actions made Bronya feel sick.

Cocolia sent Bronya a desperate, pleading look.

Bronya froze for a moment, then forced herself to look away.

She could not afford to be soft-hearted.

“Take her down to the med bay,” Zane said with a wave of his hand.

Cocolia still mattered to Bronya.

If she died here, Bronya would never forget it.

“Fine.

An Executor is a highly valuable asset.

We can’t just let her die here.” Himeko gestured to the side, and her adjutant stepped forward.

The woman hauled the nearly collapsed Cocolia upright and dragged her away.

“She…” Bronya released a slow breath.

“Anyway, thank you.” The struggle between her head and her heart had worn her out.

“I’m your old man.

Saying thank you is too formal.” Zane smirked and reached out to rub Bronya’s head.

“…” Bronya smiled faintly.

Silver Wolf had already told her that Zane was just their adoptive father.

Still, his gesture made her feel better.

“Oh, right.

I’m giving this program to you.” Silver Wolf summoned her virtual keyboard again.

With a casual swipe, she transferred a tiny digital glow into Bronya’s phone.

“What is this?” Bronya asked.

“That control chip from your brain.

I planted it inside Cocolia’s head.” Silver Wolf flashed a wicked grin, revealing a small fang.

“You have full admin rights now.

You can make her do anything.

Bark like a dog, dance ballet, whatever you want.” “Uh…

thanks.” Bronya almost smiled at the thought of making Cocolia bark.

Even so, she thanked Silver Wolf.

She knew Silver Wolf was angry for her sake.

Bronya was four years older, but right now, Silver Wolf seemed more like the big sister.

Karma had finally come around!

Cocolia was reaping what she had sown!

“You decide what to do with that chip,” Zane said, patting Bronya’s head.

He let her decide.

This was Bronya’s own problem to face.

Then Zane turned and walked over to Himeko, who was busy checking the monitors.

“What’s the plan for all these Honkai Beasts?” Himeko looked a bit embarrassed and cleared her throat.

“Well, about this suppression mission…

honestly, our main objective is to contain the Eruption within Nagazora.

We need to prevent the zombies and Honkai Beasts from spilling out and threatening the surrounding areas.” She glanced at the tactical display and sighed.

“Beyond that, there isn’t much we can do.” There were at least two or three hundred thousand Honkai Beasts in Nagazora, along with almost a million zombies.

One ship like the Hyperion could not do much against so many.

“I’ll handle it.” Zane rolled his wrists.

The situation was pretty bad.

In the original story, when Mei and the others came back to Nagazora two years later, the city was still full of Honkai Beasts.

Part of that was Kiana’s fault, but not all of it.

“Watch closely, Furina.

Don’t blink.” A sharp blue glint flared in Zane’s left eye.

“This is what true Advanced Elemental Theory looks like.” Seven Seals: Elements.

Open— Pitch-black clouds gathered frantically over the entirety of Nagazora.

A split second later, massive raindrops poured down from the sky.

The water felt incredibly heavy.

It fell slowly, but each drop hit with crushing force.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!” Even the hardened silicon-based armor of the Honkai Beasts was punched through effortlessly.

In mere moments, their bodies were riddled like Swiss cheese— The slow zombies had their heads and bodies pierced one after another, falling in huge numbers across the city.

Most importantly, the rain only hit monsters.

Buildings were left untouched.

“WHAT IN THE…?” Himeko’s eyes nearly popped out of her head.

She rubbed them hard, refusing to believe what she was seeing.

When she opened them again, the impossible scene was still unfolding.

The blue light in Zane’s eye faded, instantly replaced by a roaring crimson flame.

Fwoosh!

For a moment, it seemed like all of Nagazora was on fire.

Water and fire met across the city, causing a huge Vaporize reaction.

A wave of blinding white steam rushed through Nagazora, wiping out almost a million zombies and Honkai Beasts at once.

The sudden change from cold to heat broke down their tough bodies.

They melted, boiled, and disappeared.

A thick white fog covered the ruined city.

“…” Himeko’s shoulders tensed.

It was terrifying…

Furina gasped and covered her mouth.

“Uh, thanks.” Snapping out of her shock, Furina lifted her skirt and offered an elegant curtsy.

“I’ve been away for two days now, so I really need to return.

The paperwork in Fontaine is probably stacked to the ceiling.” She darted forward, planted a lightning-fast kiss on Zane’s cheek, and vanished without a trace.

Zane had not expected that little bonus.

“Thanks.

Goodbye.” Miyabi Hoshimi maintained her usual deadpan expression, then vanished as well.

Himeko: “???” —•——•——•——•——•——•— St.

Freya Academy, Training Grounds.

A calm, ash-haired girl with striking green eyes was working through her daily routine.

She wore a neat student uniform and her signature red-framed glasses.

Her movements were smooth and strong.

Her punches and kicks were powerful, but she moved with a graceful style.

After finishing her martial arts routine, she lowered her hands and stood up straight.

She let out a long, steady breath.

She wiped the light sweat from her forehead, let her breathing return to normal, and headed toward the cafeteria.

As she passed the landing pad, a tiny figure caught her attention.

“Principal?” Theresa, standing at a grand total of under one hundred fifty centimeters, had her arms crossed.

Her small leather shoes tapped impatiently against the pavement.

Her small, childlike face quickly shifted between excitement, anticipation, and despair.

“Hm?

Oh, it’s you, Fu Hua.” Theresa turned around.

“Are you waiting for someone, Principal?” Fu Hua asked, walking over with mild curiosity.

As far as she knew, very few people could make the Principal personally wait on the tarmac.

“Yeah.

Himeko is coming back.” Theresa let out a heavy sigh, and her face instantly dropped.

“Colonel Himeko?” Fu Hua paused.

Hadn’t Himeko just left for the Nagazora suppression mission a short while ago?

“Yeah.

And she’s not coming back alone.” Theresa’s expression grew even more conflicted.

“She’s bringing Kiana with her.” “Kiana Kaslana?” Fu Hua’s eyes narrowed.

She knew about the 2006 incident, when the Principal and Siegfried had defected from Schicksal HQ, taking Kiana with them.

“Yeah.

Never mind, they’re here.” Theresa spotted a dark speck on the horizon.

She was thrilled that Kiana was finally returning to her protection.

At the same time, she was struggling with Himeko’s return.

As soon as that woman set foot on campus, Theresa knew her easy days as Principal were finished.

—•——•——•——•——•——•— “So this is St.

Freya Academy?

It’s huge!!” Elysia leaned against the window, looking down with bright eyes.

Bathed in the evening sun, the white walls, dark roofs, and lush green trees gave the campus a serene, vibrant beauty.

Zane looked out over the area.

He hadn’t thought much about it while playing the game, but seeing St.

Freya from above showed him how big it really was.

With all its buildings, training grounds, labs, and a military base, it felt like a city.

For Zane, the entertainment value was what mattered most.

He had already spotted Fu Hua standing beside Theresa.

When that bay door opened, Fu Hua was going to see a living, breathing Elysia smiling right at her.

Her reaction would be priceless.

As far as Fu Hua knew, Elysia had died fifty thousand years ago.

That loss had left a deep mark on her.

Zane could hardly wait to see this play out.

The Hyperion touched down smoothly, and the heavy bay doors lowered.

Zane intentionally dragged his feet, gently pushing Elysia toward the front.

Just as he predicted.

The moment the brilliant pink-haired girl walked down the ramp with a sunny smile capable of melting any gloom, Fu Hua’s normally calm green eyes contracted violently.

Her shoulders began to shake…

“…” Her mouth fell open.

She tried to speak, but her voice stuck in her throat, leaving her gasping for air.

The hands that could break anything with a single strike were now shaking.

Seeing Fu Hua’s reaction gave Zane immense satisfaction.

Making the trip here was officially worth the price of admission.

But he forgot one minor detail.

While he was caught up in Fu Hua’s reaction, a cold and terrifying sense of danger suddenly appeared behind him.

A fierce shout ripped through the air.

“PHOENIX!

DIE!!” ‘Holy crap.’ The hair on Zane’s arms stood straight up.

He had been deeply focused on the drama that he forgot Evanescia was right there…
