Madam Hooch approved two more supervised sessions during the week.
By Friday evening, Adrian could clear all three hoops without touching them, provided nobody crowded him and he did not chase speed.
Cho intended to do both.
On Saturday afternoon, Adrian met the others beside the beginner field.
Madam Hooch had already taken the same battered school broom from the equipment shed for him.
Susan waited near the finish marker while Fred and George checked the alignment of the three hoops under Hooch’s supervision.
Cho arrived a moment later.
She wore a Ravenclaw practice jumper, fitted dark flying trousers, and boots, with her hair secured firmly behind her head.
Harry briefly stopped near the course on his way back from Gryffindor practice.
“Remember to look beyond each hoop,” Harry advised.
“I remember when nobody is flying beside me,” Adrian replied.
Harry wished him luck and continued toward the castle.
Madam Hooch called Adrian and Cho to the starting line and inspected both school brooms to ensure the equipment would not decide the race.
“Three complete laps,” Hooch explained briskly.
“Each lap passes through all three hoops.
Missing a hoop requires circling back.
There will be no deliberate touching, no blocking, no spells, and no dangerous altitude.
The first person across the chalk line after the third lap wins.” “Do psychological attacks count?” Fred asked from the sideline.
“Speak during the race, Mr Weasley, and I will remove you from the field,” Hooch promised.
Cho mounted her broom easily.
Adrian mounted his own carefully and tested his balance, ensuring his knees were not locked against the wood.
Susan stood near the finish line as the agreed witness.
The system window appeared in Adrian’s vision above the chalk line.
[TRAINING CHALLENGE] [Complete all three laps without missing a hoop, falling, or leaving the beginner boundary.] [Reward: Aerial Balance Fragment ×1 and 20 PP.] Adrian accepted the mission internally.
Hooch blew her whistle.
Cho accelerated immediately.
Adrian realised within seconds that winning through raw speed was entirely impossible; Cho reached the first hoop before he had even completed his opening line.
His first instinct was to chase her.
He tightened his grip and nearly entered the first turn too sharply.
His single Aerial Balance fragment allowed him to notice his shoulders fighting the broom before the mistake became serious.
He loosened his hands, leaned his weight, and completed the turn cleanly.
Cho finished the first lap several seconds ahead.
She tightened her lines during the second, passing close enough to break Adrian’s concentration without touching him.
Adrian followed her movement instead of watching his own hoop and noticed the mistake too late.
Two hurried corrections carried him through near the padded edge, but the recovery killed his speed.
Fred opened his mouth to shout advice.
Madam Hooch turned her head, and he closed it again.
By the end of the second lap, Cho’s lead had widened beyond anything Adrian could recover without her making a serious mistake.
Adrian let her go.
Chasing Cho would only make him repeat every mistake George had spent the week correcting.
He returned his attention to his own line and concentrated on completing the course without missing a hoop.
The third lap became his best.
He kept his eyes locked on his own line.
He used small, deliberate corrections and allowed Cho to pull further away.
He entered the third hoop faster than he ever had during practice, felt his knees locking, and forced them to loosen before the broom drifted.
He cleared the final hoop without contact.
Cho crossed the finish line first.
Adrian crossed several seconds later.
He landed heavily, his boots hitting the dirt hard, but he remained upright.
Cho had won cleanly.
[TRAINING CHALLENGE COMPLETED] [Aerial Balance Fragment ×1] [20 PP] [PP Balance: 345 → 365] [Aerial Balance: 2/10 fragments] Adrian dismissed the screen.
The second fragment sharpened the awareness he had gained during training; the shift in his balance now registered before his shoulders visibly moved against the broom.
Madam Hooch praised Adrian for completing the course safely, but pointed out that Cho had beaten him comfortably.
She collected both school brooms and turned back toward the equipment shed.
Fred immediately began suggesting forfeits on Cho’s behalf.
“The choice belongs to the winner,” Cho reminded him.
She glanced at Susan.
“The original witness may remain.” “I intend to,” Susan said.
Cho asked for several minutes before revealing her choice.
Madam Hooch had already ordered Fred and George to carry the practice crates into the equipment shed, and their complaints followed them inside.
Cho led Adrian and Susan around the far side of the broom shed.
The building blocked them from the pitch, while a low maintenance fence separated the shed from a narrow strip of unused grass.
Hooch remained close enough to supervise the grounds, but she could no longer see them without walking around the building.
Adrian fully expected Cho to choose something that embarrassed him—wearing Ravenclaw colours again, carrying her books through the corridors, or publicly admitting that she was the superior flyer.
Instead, Cho stopped beside the fence and looked directly at Adrian.
“Your forfeit is to give me three proper spanks.” Adrian paused.
Cho turned, placed both hands on the low fence, and looked back over her shoulder.
“I won,” she reminded him.
“I choose what you perform.” Susan looked surprised, though entirely unscandalised.
“Did you plan this before the race?” “I had several possible forfeits,” Cho answered, adjusting her stance slightly.
“This one became significantly more appealing after watching Adrian grip the broom all week.” Cho was wearing fitted flying trousers, and she made no move to remove them.
She stood with her hands resting on the fence, her feet slightly apart, her ass turned toward Adrian, and her head angled just enough to watch his reaction.
Adrian stepped closer and placed one hand briefly against her hip to judge his position.
His first spank was cautious.
Cho’s ass shifted beneath the fitted fabric, but the strike was far too light.
Cho looked back at him.
“That was an apology, not a spank.” “It was,” Susan quietly agreed.
Adrian raised his hand and struck the opposite cheek much more firmly.
Cho jolted against the fence.
The fitted fabric snapped against her ass, and the struck cheek shifted beneath Adrian’s palm.
Cho inhaled sharply but did not move away.
She inhaled sharply but did not move away.
“The third should be better,” Cho told him, her voice slightly breathless.
Adrian took his time before the final strike.
He rested his palm against the centre of Cho’s ass, feeling its firm curve through the fitted trousers.
Cho remained bent over the fence.
“Better,” she said quietly.
“Now finish it.” Cho allowed the deliberate touch, her breath hitching slightly.
The third spank landed hard across one cheek.
The sound was sharp in the quiet field.
Cho jolted against the fence and remained bent over it for a moment before slowly straightening.
She remained in position for a long moment, then stood fully and smoothed the back of her trousers.
Cho turned back to Adrian, her face visibly flushed.
“Your hand improved faster than your flying,” she noted.
“I still lost,” Adrian pointed out.
“Then become better before the next race,” Cho said smoothly.
She did not immediately schedule another challenge.
She gave them both a brief nod and began walking back toward the castle before Fred and George could return from the shed.
Susan watched her go.
“She was hoping spanking would enter the conversation regardless of who won,” Susan said.
“What do you think she would have chosen if I had won?” Adrian asked.
“Judging by how quickly she found that fence, she had certainly considered the possibility.” Susan replied.
She turned her attention away from Cho and looked thoughtfully at Adrian’s hand.
“Three days of lessons taught you not to grip too hard,” Susan murmured.
“I may need to check whether the improvement applies elsewhere.” Before Adrian could answer, Fred and George returned from the equipment shed.
“Well?” Fred demanded.
“What did she choose?” Susan took Adrian’s arm and steered him toward the castle path.
“You were sent away for a reason.” Fred looked to Adrian for help, but Adrian only examined the hand Cho had made him use.
Susan noticed.
As they moved ahead of the twins, she leaned closer and spoke quietly enough that only Adrian could hear.
“Three days of training taught you when to loosen your grip,” she said.
“Soon, I may test what else your hands learned.” Adrian looked at her.
Susan kept walking toward the castle as though she had said nothing unusual.
