Greengrass family was one of the most ancient and noble pure blood families of the British Wizarding world.

This would have meant that they were a big deal in the original Harry Potter world, but here…

I looked at Mr. Greengrass, Daphne’s father, who was standing at the back, talking with someone.Full novel: HP/DxD: Annihilation Maker doesn’t wish for Annihilation — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

That guy was Mid-class…

And he was the head of the Greengrass family.

In devil terms, he would, at most, qualify as a competent reincarnated devil servant.

So, they were not really a big deal.

Of course, that did not mean they were useless…

I could use them to enter the Wizarding world’s market, with how backward and improperly managed their economy is…

Controlling the entire market, is not that difficult of a job at all.

But that is for later, for now, my focus was on the girl in front of me.

“Noble title? You mean like the muggle stories of kings and queens? Are you a prince?” She asked curiously,

“Sadly no. Noble titles don’t mean anything now, we do have a Viscount title, but it is rarely used now, and we barely even associate with it.” I chuckled.

“Why would you not want a noble title? In the Wizarding world, being a part of a noble family is a matter of great pride. I really don’t understand how muggles think.” She sighed.

“Well, money matters more. A poor noble is more miserable than a poor commoner. Noble titles were useful in the past, but now they are just for show. By the way, you still haven’t told me about what a Pure-blood is.”

“Hmm, I guess you are somewhat right… Money is important, the Weasleys are infamous because they are poor. And a pure-blood means having both parents from deep-rooted wizard lines. Like my Greengrass family is over a millennium old, and we are considered a most ancient and noble house.” Daphne said thoughtfully.

“I see, so you are a wizarding noble, great. Then you can tell me everything about the wizarding world.” I said with a smile.

“Hey, Daphne. Did you select an owl? Oh, and who’s this little friend you have made?” It was Mr. Greengrass, Daphne’s father, who had appeared, he was dressed in a regal looking cloak, along with him was a woman, presumably Daphne’s mother, considering she had the same platinum blonde hair and green eyes.

“Dad, I also want a cat. And this is Damien, he is a muggle noble.” Daphne said pointing towards me and Star Annihilator.

“Greetings, Mr. Greengrass, I am Damien Whitmore.” I smiled and introduced.

The Greengrass family was one of the few pure blood families which had not joined Voldemort’s banner during the last war.

But they were not on Dumbledore’s side either.

If anything, they tried to stay neutral whenever they could, which was a smart decision, to be honest.

And they weren’t particularly racist towards muggles too, at least, even if they were, they didn’t show it.

My parents and Professor Flitwick also conversed with Daphne’s parents, seeing that, the two of us moved to find a cat suitable for her.

“Since you have a white cat, I will take a black cat… it would be even better if it has green eyes like me.” Daphne said while checking out the pets.

“By the way, don’t wizards use cellphones or telephones? I mean the professor asked me to get an owl just to pass letters. That’s like… ancient stuff.” I asked Daphne.

“What’s a cellphone or telephone? And how else are you supposed to send letters without owls?” Daphne asked confused.

“Huh? You don’t know what a telephone is? Well it’s used to communicate, you can talk to anyone from your home, in real time, just pick up the phone and talk.” I explained.

“Like a two way mirror? Isn’t that very rare?” Daphne asked surprised

“What’s a two way mirror? And everyone has telephones, it’s not rare at all, even poor people have that.”

“Wait, how does that even work, can’t muggles not do spells… they shouldn’t be able to do anything like that at all.” Daphne’s face was full of curiosity, looking slightly shocked too.

“You know, I haven’t been in the wizarding world for even a day, but I can tell you one thing, it’s not well developed at all, at least compared to ordinary people, you guys are like living centuries into the past. You should try and spend some time in the muggle world, then you would realize it’s wonders, and what we have accomplished with the power of science.” I said seriously, Wizards were a failed society, it was clear why they were in decline. Devils had humans beat in the technology game, pretty much every strong civilization had it’s own tech, but not Wizards, they either did not have technology at all, or had some old muggle tech they had managed to steal.

“Muggle world has all of that… hmm, I did not know about it. Say, Damien. You said that you want to know everything about the Wizarding world, right? I will help you with that, but the condition is, you tell me everything about the Muggle world. Deal?” Daphne proposed with a sly smile.

“Hmm, only if you treat me to the best foods available in the wizarding world. Then you, my lady, have a deal.” I chuckled back.

“Very well, then you are my first friend of the Muggle world.” Daphne declared with a proud smile.

“Hmm, then you are my first friend in the wizarding world.” I declared back.

But I didn’t notice one thing, my mom and Daphne’s mom were standing right behind us.

“Son, I think you could have stopped right after saying ‘first friend’. You don’t have any friends in the normal world either.” Emilia giggled, selling me out with a smile, forcing me to turn silent with embarrassment.

“Heh, loner.” Daphne sneered, worsening the situation.

But not all was bad, because it was Daphne’s mom who spoke next.

“Daphne, dear. Don’t say like that. Who are these friends of yours that I don’t know about, the only one you stick to is little Astoria. And for the record, Damien dear, Astoria is her little sister, she ran off to Florean Fortescue’s ice cream parlour to get some ice cream.”

“Oh, and miss popular called me a loner.” I teased with a smirk.

Her face turned red with embarrassment, but she recovered instantly, then a smirk filled her face, “We both may have only just got our wands now, but only one of us actually knows spells. Therefore, until you learn spells, I am the only one with the teasing rights.”

“You’ll regret this Daphne.” I snarled.

“I am the Hokage… I mean Witch, Damien!” Daphne countered, though her expression looked slightly bewildered, she couldn’t understand why she said that.
