Columbina’s temporary stay at Herta Space Station had quietly stretched on for a long time.
During these days, she never caused any trouble.
On ordinary days, she would either sit by the window watching the star rivers of the universe flow by, or quietly await that familiar, warm wish within her mind.
Even though she was on the space station, she still had not stopped her journey of responding to the wishes of life.
Columbina had never been a wish-granting machine that accepted every request; whether she would respond or not depended on her own set of criteria.
But if she were truly asked to explain them in detail, she couldn’t even answer.
Over time, she had managed to summarize two points for herself: One: The wish had to be something she could achieve with her abilities.
Two: The wish had to be strong enough and pure enough.
Not every wish required Columbina’s personal presence to fulfill; some small wishes only needed her to hear them and then sow a bit of her own power.
And her power had an extremely high level of recognizability.
The moon.
From this, one could know it was a gift from Columbina, the Moon Goddess.
This day, Columbina was staring blankly at the stars outside the window, but instead of a familiar wish, a long and pious prayer floated into her mind.
The prayer contained no pleas, only a heart full of joy and awe.
Her name was woven into every word, and it even mentioned the birth of a new life.
A life born within the miracle she had left behind.
This special prayer piqued Columbina’s interest.
She detached a wisp of her power, carrying her consciousness as she drifted in the direction of the prayer.
The light and shadow of the interstellar void flashed by rapidly.
In just a moment, she arrived at the planet.
She still had memories of this planet; it was one of the first she had ever helped.
She remembered how it had been engulfed by the power of a Stellaron.
She had come, drawn by a pure wish, and sealed the Stellaron away, granting the planet a new lease on life.
“Lady Goddess!
The Lady Goddess has come!” The first to notice her was an old man bowing before a statue of her, carved in the likeness of how she had appeared back then.
The old man looked up and saw her, his voice trembling with emotion.
If Columbina had not already told them not to kneel, a whole crowd would have fallen to the ground before her.
Columbina’s tone was gentle: “Is it her?” “Yes!
Yes!” The old man hurriedly stepped aside and pointed to a small creature floating beside him, its entire body shimmering with a faint silvery-white light.
Several ribbons, woven from moonlight, trailed behind it.
As it moved, the ribbons swayed gently, giving it a soft, fluffy appearance.
It bore a striking resemblance to the Wubbaboo she had once seen, though it lacked their mischievous streak and possessed a greater sense of gentleness.
“Lady Goddess, these small beings were born in the Miraculous Land of the Stellaron where You sealed the Stellaron all those years ago.
Many more have been born since then.” The old man’s tone was filled with solemnity.
“To us, they are the continuation of Your miracle and an extension of Your will, as sacred and inviolable as You are.
Therefore, we have taken the liberty of praying to You, hoping You would personally grant them a name, so they may know where their origins lie.” Columbina’s gaze fell upon the small creature, which seemed to sense her attention.
It drifted gently to her fingertips and nuzzled its head against them, showing no fear whatsoever.
Her heart softened.
She raised her hand, and a wisp of pure moonlight flowed from her fingertips, slowly seeping into the creature’s body.
The moonlight, as if alive, left a tiny crescent moon mark on the creature’s forehead.
“Call them Kuuhenki,” she said, her voice soft yet clear, reaching every ear.
The moment her words fell, the surrounding residents immediately burst into cheers, and even the small creatures floating nearby swayed their Moon Ribbons in unison.
Columbina looked again at the Kuuhenki at her fingertips and added softly, “You will convey this: the Silver Moon is your place of return.” The Kuuhenki seemed to understand, bouncing joyfully before her before swiftly flying away into the distance.
The other Kuuhenki were also called over by her, and the entire plaza was filled with a faint silver glow, exceptionally lively.
The Kuuhenki were born from her power and could be considered her kin, so she naturally had to find a stable place for them to dwell.
Through that wisp of power, she transmitted the message “The Silver Moon is where you can return” to all the Kuuhenki that had already been born.
Any Kuuhenki born in the future would also receive guidance from her, the Moon Goddess, when their consciousness awakened.
After all, not every planet had an environment suitable for the Kuuhenki to survive in, but the Silver Moon was different; it was filled with power of the same origin as hers, making it the most suitable homeland for the Kuuhenki to inhabit.
Watching the Kuuhenki’ joyful appearance, a faint smile curved Columbina’s lips as she was about to withdraw her projection.
A cool yet familiar voice suddenly drifted down from the sky: “Miss Columbina, can we not chat?” Columbina froze for a moment.
This voice…
[Lord Ravager] Celenova.
For a very long time, this woman had been pursuing her, always polite, expressing her desire to talk.
But Columbina had never responded to her.
She knew that Celenova was a [Lord Ravager] of the Antimatter Legion, and wherever the Antimatter Legion went, only destruction and desolation remained.
She disliked the Antimatter Legion, and she disliked the [Lord Ravager] at its core even more.
Even though Celenova had never laid a hand on her, and even though the other woman’s tone was always gentle, she had never intended to meet or chat with her.
Moreover, what was here at this moment was merely a projection she had condensed with her power, not her true body.
– Columbina slowly withdrew her consciousness from the distance, her gaze falling upon the room before her, yet her thoughts remained on the question from moments ago.
“Celenova is still looking for me…
She won’t find her way here, will she?” Columbina’s voice revealed a hint of worry, but more so was concern for others.
She was not afraid of the Lord Ravager, but merely did not wish to bring trouble to others because of herself.
[It’s hard to say, but judging by her attitude, Host, you needn’t worry too much.
At worst, I’ll just help you give her a beating when the time comes!] Hearing the system’s words, Columbina felt a bit more relaxed, and a faint smile graced the corners of her lips.
She thought this system was quite interesting and teased, “Oh?
So that makes you sound very powerful.” [Hehe, of course not.
I can only provide some support to you.] [When you become more popular later on, Host, the support I can provide will be even greater.
The two of us working together to fight a Lord Ravager will still be no problem at all!] “So that’s how it is.
That’s already very impressive.” Columbina said softly, then closed her eyes and slowly lay down on the bed.
She felt a bit tired and needed to rest and recover her energy.
In truth, she could also handle a Lord Ravager herself; this was not a boast, but because she had truly fought a few of them.
What she sought to do was salvation.
What the Lord Ravagers delighted in was destruction.
How could they not encounter each other?
[Alright, Host, you can rest assured.]
