Herta stood up abruptly from her floating chair.

This sudden movement cast a massive sense of oppression from her tall figure within the pure white observation room.

The previous air of lazy leisure had vanished completely, replaced by an energy that was nearly boiling.Full novel: HSR: Herta Thinks I’m Her Daughter — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

In her purple eyes, a stunning radiance of “surprise” and “excitement” erupted for the first time, like two burning purple nebulae, firmly locked onto Lilith.

She had originally thought this was just a routine ability assessment of an “interesting prophetic sample.” What she wanted to see was perhaps a little genius with superior memory, or perhaps a special individual who could bring a few surprises.

But she never expected that with a casual scoop, she had actually fished out a “peer” she had been searching for for so long, and one she had even thought could never exist!

A sentient being who could stand on the same intellectual level as her, could see through her designs she was so proud of, and could view this world from the same perspective!

“Test over.” Herta’s voice carried a hint of imperceptible trembling, and she completely ignored the researchers behind her who were already dumbfounded, their worldviews severely shaken.

Under everyone’s astonished gazes, she walked straight up to Lilith.

She reached out, not to hold hands, nor to pull, but with an unquestionable force, she nearly “grabbed” Lilith’s slender wrist.

Lilith was startled.

‘Hey, hey, hey!

What are you doing!

This strength is way too much!’ Her wrist was held by Herta; the touch was cold and powerful, conveying an irresistible will.

“Follow me.” Herta didn’t give Lilith any time to react, pulling her along as she turned and left the observation room.

Her pace was fast, and Lilith almost had to jog to keep up with her rhythm.

Being pulled so forcefully by her, Lilith felt like a naughty child caught by an adult, and her cheeks uncontrollably began to burn.

Passing through the long corridor, they finally arrived at the core main control room of the entire Space Station.

A massive circular light screen occupied the entire field of vision, with countless data streams and monitoring footage flowing across it, while in the center was a slowly rotating, vast galactic scene.

This was Herta’s throne.

Herta let go of her hand, walked to the main console, and began to operate it herself.

Following her command, the galaxy on the circular screen faded away, replaced by a three-dimensional structural diagram so dazzling it was blinding.

That was the complete blueprint with the highest clearance for the entire Herta Space Station; every pipeline, every energy node, and every structural detail unfolded slowly before the two of them like stars.

Lilith was so shocked by the scene before her that she couldn’t speak.

This was infinitely more grand and precise than any map she had seen in the game.

Just then, a warm breath suddenly drew near.

Herta walked behind her and leaned down.

Her tall figure could almost completely shroud Lilith in her shadow.

Warm breath gently sprayed onto Lilith’s sensitive earlobe, bringing waves of tingling itchiness.

Lilith’s body instantly stiffened, her heartbeat skipped a beat, and the temperature of her cheeks soared again.

‘Too…

too close!’ She could smell a faint, cold fragrance emanating from Herta, like a mixture of stardust and fir.

“Continue.” Herta’s voice rang out right by her ear, a voice that could no longer hide a burning desire upon discovering a peer, like a lonely explorer who had finally found, at the end of the universe, another traveler who could understand their star chart.

“Tell me about the ‘unreasonable’ things you see…” Her voice was very low, carrying a hint of seduction.

“Tell me everything.” At this moment, Lilith clearly felt that something had completely changed.

The way Herta looked at her had completely changed.

It was no longer examining an “interesting toy,” nor was it evaluating a “valuable sample.” It was a form of appreciation, the excitement of meeting a worthy opponent, and a burning gaze reserved for an “intellect of the same level.” The pure desire for “wisdom,” in this instant, completely overwhelmed the vigilance and defensiveness towards the “unknown.” A seed named “exclusivity” was quietly planted in the heart of this genius scholar, who had been aloof for countless years, and it began to take root and sprout at an astonishing speed.

Lilith forced herself to calm down; she knew that in this high-stakes gamble, she had already won the most critical round.

She had successfully branded the persona of the “God-level Roleplayer” deep into Herta’s heart.

She looked up, meeting those purple nebulae that were close at hand, her crimson eyes flashing with a confident and sly glint.

She extended her slender finger, pointing to a corner of that brilliant and complex “galaxy.” “Here, the water supply system of the living area.

For the sake of aesthetics, the pipes bypass the main load-bearing structure, adding three unnecessary turning points, which will cause a 1.2% flow rate loss during peak water pressure.” Then, her finger slid to another spot.

“And here, the backup power system of the curio containment room; its activation logic is too complex.

In an emergency, switching from the main power source takes 0.8 seconds, which is too slow.

It could definitely be optimized to under 0.3 seconds.” “And this…” Every time Lilith pointed out a flaw, Herta’s breathing became a fraction faster, and the light in her pupils became a fraction hotter.

She wasn’t listening to a report; she was admiring a perfect work of art, resonating with a long-lost soul.

In the main control room, only the girl’s crisp and critical nitpicking remained, along with the genius scholar’s increasingly scorching gaze.

Lilith felt as if her back was about to be burned through by that gaze.

She knew that from today on, she was no longer that “little The Prophet” who needed to rely on charades to exchange for shelter.

She had become a unique “treasure” in Herta’s eyes.

And the treatment of this “treasure” seemed, than she had imagined, even more…

dangerous.

Herta suddenly reached out, wrapped her arms around her waist from behind, pulled her entire body tighter into her embrace, and rested her chin gently on the top of her head.

“Go on.” Herta’s voice carried a hint of satisfied sigh, as if caressing her most beloved collection.
