The college students from the Ice Cream and Tea Shop finally retreated in defeat before the invisible ice wall erected by Masako.

They fled in a panic, wearing expressions that screamed, “Who am I?

Where am I?

Why am I here humiliating myself?” Nari, whose wrist was being held by his eldest daughter, felt like a rare animal just rescued from a wolf’s den.

Before he could even catch his breath, he was escorted again, merging into the surging crowd of the pedestrian street.

He now deeply understood what “social death” meant.

This was beyond death; this was being dragged through the streets for public display after death, with “Good Luck Coming” playing on a loop.

“Daddy!

I’m hungry!

I want to eat hot pot!” Aiko had just achieved a great victory at the milk tea shop.

She was full of momentum, pointing her small finger and locking onto a brightly lit, bustling chain hot pot restaurant ahead.

Nari looked at the long queue outside the restaurant and felt his blood pressure rising in sync with the line.

“How about…

we go home to eat?

Daddy will make you sweet and sour pork ribs,” he tried to make a final struggle.

“No!” Aiko flatly refused, then leaned her small head close to his ear, whispering like a devil in a volume only they could hear, “Daddy, you wouldn’t want your secret to…” “Let’s go, eat hot pot.” Nari immediately changed his tune, a professional smile on his face, but internally, he had blacklisted that line.

Masako remained silent throughout, only tightening her grip on his arm a bit more.

Thus, under the stunned gazes of the hot pot restaurant staff and countless diners, this peculiar trio was led to a window booth.

As soon as he sat down, Nari felt himself being fixed in place.

Aiko clung to his left side like a koala, her small head restlessly rubbing against his arm.

Masako occupied his right side; though she didn’t make such exaggerated movements as Aiko, her sitting posture subtly blocked any access from the right.

A male mom, and his two sweet cages.

“Daddy, you smell so good!” Aiko’s little nose sniffed at him, like a puppy discovering treasure, “Is it strawberry?

No, it’s milk!

Sweet!” Nari felt his scalp tingle.

This wasn’t actually his body scent, but Natasha’s, or more accurately, the system’s ability to perfectly replicate him as honkai: star rail Natasha, so he possessed all of Natasha’s characteristics.

It was said that Natasha’s body scent was a ‘man-slayer’ fragrance.

Now it seemed, whether it’slayed men’ was unknown, but’slaying daddy’ was certainly true.

“It’s…

it’s the smell of laundry detergent,” Nari bluffed without changing his expression.

“Oh!” Aiko believed him, then looked up, her innocent big eyes gazing at Nari, “Daddy, these clothes look so good on you, even better than our kindergarten teacher’s dress!

Can you wear them at home too from now on?” Nari felt a breath catch in his throat, almost passing out on the spot.

He looked to Masako for help, hoping his eldest daughter could rein in her outspoken younger sister.

However, Masako’s reaction exceeded his expectations.

She ignored Aiko, picked up the menu, and began ordering in an unusually calm tone.

“Mandarin duck pot, mild spice.

Two portions of premium fatty beef, two portions of lamb, tripe, yellow throat, shrimp paste…” She ordered quickly and accurately, choosing all of Nari’s favorite dishes.

But her expression was as if she were delivering a serious academic report.

Throughout the ordering process, Nari felt he wasn’t sitting in a booth, but at a negotiation table.

On his left was his younger daughter constantly firing “sweet cannonballs,” and on his right was his “iceberg” eldest daughter, whose aura grew colder and colder.

He was caught in the middle, sitting on pins and needles.

The dishes were served quickly, and the rising steam from the hot pot slightly blurred the surrounding gazes, making Nari sigh in relief.

“Daddy, eat some meat!” Aiko picked up a freshly blanched slice of fatty beef, held it to Nari’s mouth, her face full of anticipation.

Just as Nari was about to open his mouth, a pair of chopsticks reached over from the other side, precisely taking the meat from Aiko’s chopsticks and placing it into Nari’s dipping sauce bowl.

It was Masako.

“It’s too hot, dip it first before eating.” Her actions were natural, and her reason impeccable.

Aiko paused, then puffed out her cheeks indignantly.

Suddenly, the atmosphere at the dinner table became subtle.

A silent war revolving around “feeding Daddy” thus began.

Aiko picked up a shrimp paste.

Masako immediately picked up a piece of green vegetable and put it in Nari’s bowl: “Eat some vegetables first.” Aiko poured cola for Nari.

Masako pushed a cup of warm water to Nari’s hand: “Drink this, it’s good for your throat.” Nari looked at the food piling higher and higher in his bowl, then at his daughters on either side, each acting independently and refusing to yield, feeling that he wasn’t eating hot pot, but world peace.

He finally noticed his eldest daughter’s abnormality.

Since sitting down, Masako had barely touched her chopsticks; all her actions revolved around “taking care of him” and “intercepting Aiko.” Her body was tense, her fingers unconsciously tracing the edge of the tablecloth, leaving behind wrinkles.

She would occasionally look up, quickly scanning her surroundings, like a vigilant cheetah guarding its territory.

“Masako,” Nari put down his chopsticks, deciding to break the strange atmosphere, “Why aren’t you eating?

Are you feeling unwell somewhere?” Masako’s movements paused.

She quickly responded: “No.” Two words, crisp and decisive, yet carrying an undeniable chill.

Nari wanted to ask something more, but Aiko, unwilling to be left out, launched another offensive.

She slid directly from her seat, squeezed next to Nari, wrapped her small arms around his waist, and completely hung onto him.

“Daddy, I want to sit right next to you!” This action completely lit the fuse.

Before Nari could peel this “human ornament” off himself, he heard a soft “snap.” Masako placed her chopsticks heavily on the chopstick rest.

She didn’t look at Nari, nor at her surroundings, but directly at Aiko, who was clinging to Nari like an octopus.

“Aiko, there are rules for eating, sit properly.” Aiko was startled by this sudden stern tone, her arms around Nari instinctively loosened a bit, and she pouted aggrievedly.

Nari was completely bewildered.

He had never seen Masako speak to her sister in such a tone.

Just as he was about to interject and smooth things over, Masako spoke again, her words clear and unhurried.

“He needs to rest; how can he eat with you clinging to him like this?” She paused, then added the last sentence in an almost declarative manner.

“And, he is your Daddy.”
