If someone asked what the best choice was after transmigrating to Amphoreus, then Amos’s answer would definitely be…

Do nothing.

Because Amphoreus was not a normal world.Full novel: HSR: Saving Amphoreus — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Effort was nothing more than self-inflicted trouble, persistence was nothing but an illusion, and even knowledge, the only thing ordinary people could use to change their fate, was merely a lie carefully woven by a Genius.

See through the essence of the world.

Master the rules of the world.

Transcend the fate of the world.

In other worlds, anyone capable of these three things would either be the leader of a civilization or the emperor of the world.

But in Amphoreus, accomplishing these three things merely meant gaining the qualification to meet the administrator.

And the most hopeless thing about this world was that the administrator, who seemed to be the final boss, was actually just a witness.

Even after surpassing the administrator, above the administrator stood the cold scepter that separated reality and illusion.

And even after turning illusion into reality, above the scepter stood Iron Tomb, which fed on information.

If everything a person had known since childhood was fake, then how could they determine what was real?

Amphoreus was a world that drove people to despair.

The Chrysos Heirs had proven this with their lives.

Every Golden Scion was an extraordinary talent.

Put them in Belobog, and they would be twelve Supreme Guardians.

Put them in the Xianzhou, and they would be figures at the level of Diviner Generals.

Put them in Penacony, and they would be branch leaders and family heads.

People like Cerydra and Aglaea, with their exceptional abilities, could even become the head of a major family branch.

Yet this group of people had struggled in the swamp called Amphoreus for over thirty million cycles, and still failed to find even the slightest chance of salvation before the Savior arrived.

Their talent was useless.

Their wisdom amounted to little.

Their persistence was insignificant.

This was the difference between geniuses and ordinary people that Dr.

Ratio spoke of.

Amos considered himself an ordinary person.

After half a day of testing, he had discovered no cheat abilities or anything similar.

How could he play against a Genius?

——— But the girl’s concern was especially warm, and no matter what, Amos didn’t want to lose her smile.

So, since he had made up his mind, he would do his best.

Looking at the girl in the notebook, Amos lay on the recliner and covered his eyes with his arm as he began organizing and outlining a plan to save the world.

To save Cyrene, he first had to understand why Cyrene sacrificed herself.

The game’s story had been rather obscure on this point, but the logic wasn’t complicated.

Simply put, there had always been only one Cyrene in all of Amphoreus.

Amphoreus was a place where three Paths intertwined.

Remembrance, Destruction, and Erudition restrained each other while also supporting each other.

After the older Cyrene became a god and saved the universe, she discovered that there was no Aeon of Remembrance, Fuli, in the universe at all.

Looking back upon the Amphoreus of the past, she realized that the one who had created all those miracles had always been Cyrene herself.

Because “Fuli” had gazed upon the Amphoreus of the past, Cyrene and Phainon were able to begin the Eternal Cycle, and the Trailblazer, after being killed by Strife, could continue existing as a meme and have the chance to revive.

It could be said that everything in Amphoreus was built upon Fuli’s miracles.

Without Fuli gazing upon the Amphoreus of the past, then as the power of Remembrance brought by the destruction of the universe gradually faded from the girl, not only could the present-day Amphoreus that had already been saved disappear because of contradictions in causality, but Iron Tomb, which had destroyed the universe, could also return.

Because Iron Tomb’s birth was the moment anchored by the Aeon of Erudition, Nous.

Only an Aeon could stop an Aeon.

Without the girl becoming a half-step Fuli and denying Nous, Iron Tomb would inevitably begin its calculations again under the influence of the Path of Erudition.

So the girl had no choice but to travel upstream through memories and take Fuli’s place in gazing upon the Amphoreus of the past.

Thus, the older Cyrene gave up the wonderful life of boarding the Express and traveling the galaxy, and returned alone to the Amphoreus of the past.

As the power of Remembrance gradually faded, the girl’s memories slowly disappeared as well.

By the time she returned to Aedes Elysiae, she only had enough strength left to write the final page of the story.

At the story’s end, she completely lost her memories and became the young Cyrene of Aedes Elysiae.

And so the cycle was complete.

The older Cyrene became the original young Cyrene of Aedes Elysiae.

Then the young Cyrene and Phainon began the Eternal Cycle.

After being killed again and again, Cyrene would bring stories to Demiurge.

After hearing the stories, Demiurge developed a longing for the outside world and emerged from its cocoon, becoming Mem.

After going through a series of adventures with the Trailblazer, Mem gradually recovered the memories of the young Cyrene and transformed into her.

The young Cyrene regained her power and became the older Cyrene, defeating Iron Tomb.

After saving the world, the older Cyrene discovered that Amphoreus had to have a Fuli.

So she traveled upstream through memories, gradually lost her memories, and became the original young Cyrene of Aedes Elysiae.

The young Cyrene then stepped onto the cycle once more.

So the entirety of Amphoreus was one giant nesting doll.

Phainon’s thirty million Eternal Cycles formed the smaller loop.

Cyrene repeatedly embarking on the path of salvation formed the larger loop.

After the smaller loop came the larger loop.

After the larger loop came the smaller loop.

The cause-and-effect relationships involved were too complicated, and Amos didn’t want to sort through them in detail.

But one thing was certain…

Since Cyrene had already appeared before him, then this cycle had already been completed.

The future older Cyrene had already become the original young Cyrene.

And the current young Cyrene would inevitably become the future older Cyrene, and eventually become the present self.

If this cycle were broken, then Demiurge would not hear enough stories, would not become Mem, and there would be no older Cyrene.

Which meant…

There would be no current young Cyrene.

After sorting out his thoughts, Amos found himself with an even bigger headache.

After rolling around on the recliner for quite a while, he finally couldn’t help standing up and pacing back and forth.

Exercise helped speed up blood circulation, increase oxygen supply to the brain, redirect excess attention, and improve focus.

Amos’s thinking speed increased slightly, and he continued his earlier thoughts.

In other words, regardless of whether he had the ability to stop the Eternal Cycle or not, the Eternal Cycle had to continue.

Only then could Cyrene have a foundation for her existence.

On that basis, if Amos could find something capable of replacing Cyrene in carrying out the “gaze,” then when the next major cycle began, after Cyrene traveled upstream and completed the gaze, she would no longer exhaust all her strength.

She could leave behind a shadow while her true self returned to the galaxy’s timeline.

That way, the cycle would remain intact.

Cyrene would still have a foundation for her existence.

The universe would still be saved.

But her true self would no longer be trapped within Amphoreus’s memories.

She would become a genuine traveler of the stars.

The rough plan was there.

So how should he act next?

Amos paced back and forth, constantly searching through his memories.

In the end, he failed to come up with an answer.

Because aside from the game’s story, he knew almost nothing about Amphoreus.

Though his seventeen-year-old body possessed excellent talent and perfectly recorded seventeen years of memories, saving the world wasn’t something that could be understood from a single leaf.

Aedes Elysiae was too small.

So small that it was almost completely cut off from mainstream Amphoreus.

There was no Black Tide.

No Strife.

No war.

Nor any of the open and hidden conflicts surrounding the Chrysos Heirs.

The villagers all knew that Phainon and Cyrene were Chrysos Heirs.

But they never considered the two special.

They simply thought of them as ordinary children.

If Amphoreus weren’t a false world, then this peaceful place would actually be quite suitable for living.

The chaotic thoughts occupied Amos’s mind completely.

Until the girl’s voice sounded beside his ears again.

“Amos~ Time to eat~” Following the sound, Amos looked over just as the door opened.

The girl walked in carrying a large tray.

On it were three simple dishes and a soup.

“Hungry?

I made spinach pie, fried cheese, rice pudding, and fish soup.” No matter how complicated his thoughts were, he couldn’t treat family coldly.

Amos instantly switched into a relaxed mode.

As he moved things around on the table to make space, he casually asked, “No wine?” In Amphoreus, there were actually regulations against minors drinking alcohol.

But they only existed in the so-called “advanced” big cities, and hardly anyone followed them.

“There isn’t any.

Is wine really that good?” “It tastes awful, but alcohol can numb people’s thoughts and make the brain feel clear.

That’s why scholars and priests with minds full of thoughts can’t live without it.” “I see…

Don’t touch anything, go wash your hands first!” The two chatted while eating.

There was no fixed topic, nor did they talk about anything particularly interesting.

When they had nothing to say, they simply stayed silent.

When they didn’t know how to respond, they didn’t respond.

There was no need to worry about awkwardness, nor any need to pay attention to social etiquette.

Dinner passed in such an ordinary way.

Come to think of it, Amos had only realized it was dinner time because the girl had mentioned it.

“I’ll go boil some water first.

Just leave the dishes on the table, I’ll clean them up later.” The girl put down her chopsticks first.

As she reached the door, she suddenly turned around and asked, “Feeling better?” Amos fell silent for a moment.

The smile on his face dimmed a little.

But in the end, Amos still gave her a sincere smile.

“Mm.”
