“This is the Invisibility Cape, a gadget that turns people invisible.” “With this, as long as I’m careful, sneaking into the prison won’t be difficult.

Rescuing Uvogin all depends on it.” In front of everyone, Ian spoke while holding up the gadget.

Channeling his aura, he gently draped the white cape over himself.Full novel: Hunter × Hunter: Sign-In the Four-Dimensional Pocket — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The next moment, under everyone’s astonished gazes, his figure rippled and slowly vanished into thin air.

Chrollo and the others stood frozen in place.

“He actually disappeared!” Pakunoda’s beautiful eyes widened as she whispered in disbelief.

“He really did,” Feitan muttered, his eyes narrowing as he recovered from his slight daze.

“Hey, Ian, are you still there!?” Pakunoda and the rest were equally shocked, quickly asking if Ian was still around.

“Shh…

I’m right here, don’t worry everyone!” Hidden beneath the Invisibility Cape, Ian could clearly see his surroundings and Chrollo’s group through the translucent fabric.

The sensation of being invisible while observing others was incredibly surreal.

Amused by Nobunaga constantly peering in his direction, Ian thought for a moment before taking a light step to the side.

The next moment.

The gazes of Chrollo, Feitan, Nobunaga, and the others instantly snapped to the spot he had moved to.

Seeing this, Ian understood perfectly.

Just as he suspected, although the cape hid his physical form, it couldn’t mask the sound of his footsteps.

Furthermore, his aura hadn’t disappeared either.

It was just like Meleoron’s Nen ability from the Chimera Ant arc—Perfect Plan.

Against ordinary people, this gadget would be incredibly useful.

But against masters, even the slightest movement or leak of aura would expose him.

Fortunately, he was only using it to infiltrate the prison.

The guards were nothing more than burly, ordinary men.

“I’m heading out.

I’ll leave things here to you.

Once I bring Uvogin out, remember to retreat immediately!” Ian’s voice drifted from the seemingly empty patch of grass.

A faint rustling of footsteps then slowly moved away from Chrollo’s group.

Hiding in the shadows, they stared wide-eyed and tense toward the prison entrance.

Even though they couldn’t see him, they knew Ian was rushing toward the gates.

While the guards shouldn’t be able to detect him, the group couldn’t help but sweat nervously for his safety.

Chrollo’s expression remained calm, but after witnessing Ian’s various Nen gadgets, he felt profoundly shaken.

It wasn’t that he hadn’t seen the Nen users around the elders.

He originally thought Nen was merely a tool to gain physical strength, but seeing Ian’s performance completely changed his perspective.

Yes!

Nen users shouldn’t be so one-dimensional.

A Nen user who solely focused on physical power lacked any real versatility.

To him, the creation of these incredible Nen gadgets…

that was the true wonder of Nen.

If raw strength was the only standard to measure a Nen user, it would be far too boring!

“Perhaps…

a Nen user shouldn’t be limited to just one ability!” Chrollo murmured to himself.

Little did Ian know, his use of the various 4D Pocket gadgets was exactly what inspired Chrollo’s vision for his own future Nen ability.

Meanwhile.

Wearing the Invisibility Cape, Ian approached the prison gates.

A group of burly guards lounged around, lazily bantering with one another.

With Ian being prepared and the guards completely oblivious, there was no way these ordinary men could detect his presence.

Even when Ian stood right in front of them.

After all, who would question an empty patch of ground when the concept of invisibility hadn’t even crossed their minds?

Ian strolled right in without alerting a single soul.

Passing through the main gates and down a long corridor, he soon reached the interior of the prison.

A guard stationed there was already taking a nap while basking in the sun.

“They’re just a private militia, not an actual army.

There’s no way these guys would have the discipline of real soldiers,” Ian muttered softly at the sight before venturing deeper into the prison.

The napping guard opened his groggy eyes, glanced around, and mumbled.

“Weird, did someone just walk by?” Seeing no one, he lay back down and fell fast asleep.

Along the way, Ian saw many prisoners locked in their cells.

Among them were smugglers from the outside world, as well as locals from Meteor City.

Some had been thrown in for offending the Third Elder, while others were held as enemies of Meteor City.

Some were battered and bruised, others were emaciated, and a few wore hunting gear, looking utterly defeated…

Ian walked past them without paying them any mind.

Without a doubt, in Ian’s eyes, Meteor City was a dog-eat-dog world.

Under the ironclad law of the jungle, he had no leisure to care about the life or death of strangers.

Right now, he only wanted to find Uvogin as quickly as possible.

Before long.

On the third floor of the prison, inside one of the cells, he spotted Uvogin.

Through the iron bars, he could see Uvogin’s broad back.

Ian glanced at the two adjacent cells, and after confirming they were empty, he called out in a low voice.

“Uvogin, wake up…” As if hearing Ian’s voice, Uvogin’s resting figure shifted.

He then struggled to sit up, clutching his abdomen.

That guy Ron was most likely an Enhancer.

That final punch he delivered was so heavy that Uvogin had barely recovered from it.

Even now, the slightest movement hurt like hell.

“Weird…

I thought I just heard Ian’s voice…” Uvogin scratched his head in confusion.

He looked around his empty cell, then glanced at the adjacent ones before his expression suddenly changed.

*’Don’t tell me Ian, Nobunaga, and the others got caught trying to save me!’* The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

He immediately wanted to shout out.

Just as he was about to yell.

“Hey, Uvogin, keep it down.

It’s me, Ian!” The voice suddenly appearing out of thin air made Uvogin’s eyes widen.

He stared at the empty space in front of him in utter disbelief.

“I…

Ian, where are you?” “Don’t tell me you were killed by that bastard Ron…” “You…

you…

I’m definitely going to kill that guy!” Seeing Uvogin’s eyes turn red and his fists clench so tightly that his veins bulged, Ian couldn’t help but slap his own forehead.

Afraid the meathead would let his imagination run wild, Ian lifted a corner of the Invisibility Cape and said in exasperation.

“Hey, don’t let your imagination run wild, Uvogin…” Seeing the upper half of Ian’s body suddenly materialize in midair, Uvogin’s eyes bulged wider than saucers.

Unable to process it, he stammered!

“I…

Ian, what’s going on with you!” “Shh…” “Keep your voice down, or someone will hear us.” Ian spoke while examining Uvogin’s face.

His eyes grew cold, yet he still managed a teasing tone.

“What else could it be?

I’m here to bust you out!” “How are you holding up?

Can you still walk?” “Also…

who gave you those panda eyes?” Although he didn’t know what a panda was, hearing Ian’s words made Uvogin feel a strange sense of pressure.

For some reason, even though he was the one who had been beaten up, seeing Ian’s teasing expression made Uvogin feel like a child who had been caught misbehaving by a parent.
