A faint smile appeared on Renn’s face.

“Activate—Fighter!”

And among all the ways to win, the most convincing was to beat them head-on.

The Gunner specialized in ranged attacks.

Even if Renn defeated Uvogin with it, Uvogin might not truly accept the result.

The Fighter, on the other hand, fought much like Uvogin did—through close combat.

“With the Fighter Character panel and my mastery-level Combat skill, defeating Uvogin at his current age shouldn’t be difficult.”

Uvogin was only seventeen now.

He was nowhere near the level he would reach during the Yorknew City arc, when he fought four of the Shadow Beasts alone and killed all four.

Then again, much of Uvogin’s victory over the Shadow Beasts had come from their carelessness.

Both Rabid Dog’s poison and Leech’s parasitic leech eggs had been capable of threatening Uvogin’s life.

“Boom!”

Their fists collided.

Uvogin’s expression changed.

Renn was actually stronger than him.

After the clash, Renn took one step back.

Uvogin retreated three.

That single exchange was enough for Renn to gauge Uvogin’s current strength.

“At this rate, I won’t even need to use the Fighter’s Clone skill.”

Renn glanced around.

“Let’s finish this quickly.”

In the next instant, Renn’s speed surged.

Uvogin immediately fell into a disadvantage.

Every one of his attacks was blocked by Renn, while Uvogin himself couldn’t dodge or defend against all of Renn’s punches.

There was a fundamental difference between their combat skills.

Uvogin was self-taught, after all.

He had never received professional instruction.

Renn’s Combat skill, meanwhile, had already reached the mastery level.

Nearby, Nobunaga watched Uvogin being suppressed, his expression tense.

Almost instinctively, his hand moved toward the hilt of his sword.

“Nobunaga!”

Uvogin noticed the movement and roared.

“Don’t interfere with my fight!”

Nobunaga snorted and removed his hand from the hilt.

Renn said, “I don’t mind. I already told you that both of you can fight me together.”

“I admit you’re strong. You might even be stronger than me.”

Uvogin’s expression became somewhat savage.

“But don’t underestimate me. If you do, I’ll make you regret it.”

Despite being at a disadvantage, Uvogin wasn’t upset.

Instead, he became even more excited.

“Let’s keep fighting!”

Renn’s expression grew more serious.

“Fine. If that’s what you want.”

He had to admit that Uvogin’s talent was exceptional.

Throughout their fight, Renn could clearly feel Uvogin improving.

And not by just a little.

But if Uvogin wanted to defeat Renn, that still wasn’t nearly enough.

“Then let me show you my real strength.”

Renn concentrated aura into his fist.

At the moment, he had only unlocked two Fighter skills.

One was Iron Physique, a passive skill.

The other was Clone, which Renn had no intention of using.

But that didn’t mean he lacked other options.

Renn could use all the fundamental techniques of Nen.

He threw an uppercut.

“Boom!”

It struck Uvogin squarely under the chin.

“Crack!”

The bone in Uvogin’s jaw broke instantly.

His entire body was launched backward against his will before crashing heavily to the ground.

For a long moment, he couldn’t get back up.

Nobunaga’s expression changed, and he hurried over.

Renn deactivated the Fighter Character panel.

“Relax. I didn’t kill him.”

Nobunaga looked up at Renn.

His eyes were slightly red.

“I’ll defeat you.”

“For Uvogin’s share too.”

“Come on.”

Nobunaga placed a hand on the hilt of his sword and began approaching Renn one step at a time.

This was Nobunaga’s fighting style.

He specialized in swordsmanship, and among all his techniques, his quick-draw technique was his strongest.

Combined with Nobunaga’s En, it made him particularly suited to counterattacking when an enemy entered his range.

When forced to attack first, however, Nobunaga couldn’t bring out the full extent of his advantages.

“Activate—Slayer!”

Renn had faced Uvogin head-on with the Fighter and defeated him.

Now he would face Nobunaga head-on with the Slayer and defeat him as well.

When dealing with Enhancers, the best way to earn their recognition was to beat them at what they were best at.

For Nobunaga, it was his sword.

A sword appeared in Renn’s hand.

Nobunaga froze for a moment before snorting coldly.

“You look down on me that much?”

“You’re not even fighting me in your strongest form. You saw that I use a sword, so you decided to use one too?”

“You’ll pay for that arrogance.”

“When it comes to the sword, I won’t lose to anyone!”

Renn didn’t wait for Nobunaga to approach.

He charged forward with his sword in hand.

Then he leaped into the air.

“Silver Light Falling Blade!”

Renn’s sword plunged straight toward Nobunaga.

Nobunaga’s pupils contracted.

“So fast!”

“What overwhelming momentum!”

His gaze locked onto the tip of Renn’s sword.

“Quick Draw!”

The sound of metal striking metal rang out.

“Clang!”

The tremendous force behind Renn’s attack made Nobunaga’s expression change once again.

A shockwave erupted against his body.

Nobunaga immediately lost his footing.

Renn’s Silver Light Falling Blade wasn’t merely a downward thrust.

“An opening!”

Renn pressed his advantage.

“Ghost Slash!”

A crimson glow appeared along Renn’s sword.

He slashed downward.

“Boom!”

Nobunaga was sent flying.

He landed right beside Uvogin.

“You lost.”

Renn now had two choices.

The first was to honor their agreement and take Uvogin and Nobunaga as his subordinates.

The second was to throw both of them into the Disassembler.

Doing so would undoubtedly improve his Combat, Swordsmanship, and Nen skills.

After hesitating for a moment, Renn chose the former.

For one thing, neither Nobunaga nor Uvogin had shown any intent to kill him.

For another, disassembling them simply wasn’t worth it.
