[Title: Is it true that JH and LMS got married]
Seriously? Not an April Fools’ joke?

└ No, sir, who the hell would make such a horrifying April Fools’ joke?
└ It actually happened
└└ Please tell us the story hyung-nim, what the hell happened
└└ In this update, a hidden ‘Bond’ system got added—basically like a marriage system—and the first pair was Jaheun and Limousine
└└└ I was online late at night and saw it happen in real time, system message popped up saying they were the first to bond fuck ㅅㅂㅋㅋㅋ
└└└└ This has to be revenge. Did they both borrow money from the devs and not pay back?
└ Bro, why those two, of all people? ㅋㅋㅋ Aren’t they like the twin pillars of toxicity in Celestial Wind? ㅋㅋ
└└ I’m more shocked that they even knew each other;;
└ This is comedy gold. Can you not undo it? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
└└ They kept hyping it as ‘first ever,’ so the perks probably slap. Don’t think they’ll give it up. Both are top-tier rankers, too
└└└ Ahhh… the game is ruined…
└ Aren’t they both male characters?? ㅅㅂ Bro, this is the Bigger Republic of Korea

[Title: How do you form a Bond?]
Even Jaheun and Limousine did it; I can’t lose in love

└ ㅋㅋ better watch your back at night
└└ Is that you, Mousine? Don’t cry…
└└ How’s married life? Sweet and lovely?
└└└ These people are probably on Limousine’s hit list now
└ In one of the new areas, if you go deep into the General’s Tomb, there’s this super random section full of animal pavilions. Just party up with someone and clear the dungeons in the order of the Twelve Zodiac Generals. The difficulty’s actually pretty high, so I recommend studying a guide before you go. It took me and my bond partner about 3 days.
└└ Damn, sounds tougher than I thought. Thanks!

I’m seriously quitting this goddamn trash game. Limousine ground his teeth and flopped down on the bed.
After the shocking turn of events, the challenger and Limousine had logged off in silence, as if by mutual agreement. Since then, he’d been in a daze, muddling through his days, and before he knew it, a whole week had passed.
Progressing the main story or whatever wasn’t the issue right now. Maybe it was all a dream? Maybe his subconscious had staged a shock therapy intervention after he played too much…… No, fuck, what kind of asshole subconscious comes up with shit like that? Limousine, desperate to escape from reality, lashed out at his own unconscious mind for no reason.
Clinging to the hope that it had all been imaginary, he logged in briefly during a time when almost no one would be online—only to find his in-game mailbox overflowing with letters full of congratulations and teasing. As if that weren’t enough, a newly added system guide window about the Bond menu popped up, mockingly helpful in the most unwanted way. What did I even do wrong to this game? Is playing diligently a crime? Was it a sin to clear the dungeon first?
It was enough to drive him mad, but Limousine forced himself to take a deep breath and calm down. Stay cool…… Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will not be defeated. He muttered a proverb that didn’t quite fit the situation and deliberately ignored the first sentence of the fourth paragraph above, which could’ve been the strongest solution.
There were three major problems with this disaster.
First: The entire server knows.
Even criminals get read their Miranda rights—who the hell thought it was a good idea to let such a monumental mutual agreement system go through without any explanation? If something like this happened in real life, it’d be considered fraud. I mean—marriage?! What the hell are you saying?! Get it together, Limousine! Startled by his own metaphor, Limousine vowed to file ten complaint tickets a day through the one-on-one inquiry system starting now.
Second: Of all people, the other party is Jaheun.
How the hell did it end up being him, of all people, who walked into that place at that time? Just as he’d suspected, the challenger was definitely a high-ranking player. One of the big names, even, who’d shown up so often that Limousine had developed a weird sense of internal familiarity.
Of course, it wasn’t real familiarity. Not all top-rankers were like this, but most of them…… weren’t exactly known for being upstanding. You had your creeps, your jerks, your weirdos, your ‘why-do-you-live-like-this’ types, your idiots, and once in a blue moon, someone actually decent.
And Jaheun was firmly in the ‘why-do-you-live-like-this’ category. That wasn’t just Limousine’s opinion—it was the general consensus among other rankers, too. A ridiculously skilled but friendless outsider swordsman who wasn’t even part of any clan. He’d dropped a bit in rank in the last chapter for some reason, but…… who cares? Maybe real life caught up with him or something.
Limousine had no personal connection with Jaheun, only vague rumors picked up here and there. But Jaheun’s skill level was infamous, and so was his equally notorious personality. In the world of <Celestial Wind>, controversies sparked by his antics flared up on a regular basis. Things like the divide between hardcore and casual players, or how far people should go for rare items—seriously, what if getting tied to this guy ends up making people see me as some weirdo too?
(The truth was, Limousine already belonged to a similar category. He just didn’t realize it.)
And finally—
……You can’t undo the Bond.
This was the biggest problem. Technically, bonds could be dissolved. If it couldn’t be undone after being publicly announced, he really would have sued the game company. The real issue lay with Limousine himself.
Late one night, trying to confirm whether it was a dream, he’d logged in when no one else was around and—his damn curiosity got the better of him. He’d clicked the cursed Bond menu and looked through the ‘First Bond’ benefits.
And then…… temptation struck. The perks were just that good.
‘Honestly, that’s straight-up broken.’
[Bonded Partner: Jaheun]
To meet someone with whom you are willing to share a bond in this short life—how beautiful is that?
– While in a party with your bonded partner: +5% HP, ATK, DEF
– Bond-exclusive bag unlocked
– ‘Bonded Teleport’ skill acquired (Bonded Teleport: Instantly move to your bonded partner. Only usable when the partner is not inside a dungeon.)
– Can craft Bond-exclusive items
First Bond
To honor those who introduced this new concept to the land, special benefits are granted.
– While in a party with your bonded partner: additional +5% ATK
– ■ Special visual effect displayed when near your bonded partner
– ‘If the Lips are Gone, the Teeth are Cold’ skill acquired (If the Lips are Gone, the Teeth are Cold: When HP drops below 5%, forcibly summons your bonded partner.)
– All hidden quests can now be progressed jointly
Joint progression for hidden quests? This game has finally gone off the deep end.
The attack boost when in a party was absurd, but it wasn’t even noticeable compared to this. The joint progression of a hidden quest was such a massive advantage that even Limousine, who usually prioritized style above all, was momentarily stunned.
Hidden quests were called hidden for a reason—they weren’t for just anyone. Sure, some might stumble into them by luck, but most were the result of endless grinding and intense mental battles. And now someone else could just waltz in and leech off a hidden quest that someone else had suffered to find? Jaheun was a top-tier ranker. As long as he didn’t quit the game, the hidden quests he’d uncover were practically infinite.
Canceling this would be the act of an idiot.
Limousine’s brow furrowed painfully. The issue he now faced wasn’t the bond itself, but how to get through this situation with as little attention as possible and make it seem natural. He could already see the teasing from his clanmates. Ah…… they’re going to ask the moment I log in…… what the hell am I supposed to say……
Even as Limousine sensed the grim reality ahead, part of him was swelling with ambition at the thought of enjoying the sweet rewards of a hidden quest. He was the epitome of a hardcore gamer.
< Clan Leader ‘Limousine’-nim has logged in. >
[Clan] Limousine: Hey
[Clan] Americano: Whoa, look who it is
[Clan] Americano: Mousine, why’ve you been MIA? ㅎㅎ Enjoying the honeymoon?
Trying his best to act nonchalant, Limousine’s eye twitched slightly at the clan chat that popped up the moment he logged in. He expected it, and it still pissed him off…… I’ll do some main story stuff and then beat the crap out of that bastard.
It had been so easy to find that he’d naturally assumed it was a main story quest, but the sudden twist of it being a bond quest had left him unable to make even a shred of progress on his original goal. In the main story, player roles varied depending on how far along their individual stories were and how capable they were. Keeping up at the very least was essential.
He had already wasted a week. Any more delay and his contribution score would definitely be stolen. All that effort climbing the ranks…… Limousine clenched his teeth and pulled up the main quest information again.
There were only the Twelve Zodiac Pavilions in that manor…… did he miss something? Limousine moved back to the map with that manor. The way the map’s structure was designed, the teleport point was so far that just running there took ages.
There were more people in the manor than expected. Judging by the ones roaming near the Twelve Zodiac Pavilions, they were probably there for the bond quest. Good thing my name’s hidden. Limousine shielded himself with a sandstorm and moved discreetly into a corner. Calling it a corner on a plain was a bit of a stretch—there weren’t many places to hide—so he just crouched a bit away from the pavilion, but it would have to do. He sat down and checked the quest details again.
< Faint Traces >
There was a report of a red spider lily blooming on a corpse. Following the lead, you’ve arrived at a gloomy, unnamed manor.
Let’s look around and see if there are any clues.
It was exactly the same as before, not a single word different. The quest search range marked on the map still covered the entirety of the Twelve Zodiac Pavilions—a vast area. If it were a red spider lily, it should stand out, being so bright red……
Limousine racked his brain for memories of the red spider lily graphics from a main quest three months ago. In terms of color and size, it wasn’t something you could just overlook at a glance.
‘At a glance……?’
Limousine paused, then put away his weapon. Instead of the staff with ornate dragon carvings on both ends, he pulled out a small hand hoe. It was a drastic size difference from his main weapon, but at least the handle was also gold.
Hoe in hand, Limousine opened a window. It was the <Gathering Journal>, a status screen usable only with the gathering trait.
