Bang, bang, bang!

Li Jun fired several shots in succession, eliminating all the bound death-row prisoners.

But this did nothing to improve his mood.Full novel: I Am the Mental Counselor of the Netherworld Death Prison — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The existence of Qin Hao made him extremely displeased. In particular, that gaze of his, which seemed to see through everything, left Li Jun feeling as though a bone were stuck in his throat—excruciatingly uncomfortable.

He returned to the office and smoked irritably.

Just then, his display terminal suddenly vibrated.

He picked it up and took a look, only to see a message displayed on it: New visitor.

He opened the notification, only to see a face he hated. It was Qin Hao!

He snorted coldly and opened Qin Hao's information.

When he saw that Qin Hao's overall strength was merely half-star, his face filled with disdain:

"A loser is a loser! Did you think hiding in the female prisoner area would let you avoid me?"

He opened his communicator and connected to someone:

"I heard a new guard has arrived in your female prisoner area?" a voice sounded from the communicator.

"You mean 9527? He's not merely a guard; he's also a psychological counselor."

"Hah, psychological counseling? Is he even worthy?" Li Jun sneered.

"Captain Li, don't you know? He had just arrived today when he encountered the crazed 3058. Yet he actually disciplined 3058 until she became as docile as a pet dog."

Hearing this news, a sense of urgency rose in Li Jun's heart. He immediately said:

"Enough talk. Help me cripple him."

The person on the other end of the communicator remained silent for a moment before saying:

"Captain Li, this will be difficult. It's not that I don't want to help you; it's just that the warden and Chen Shengnan are paying close attention to him now, so it won't be easy to make a move. Besides, if anything happens to him and 3058 goes berserk again, it will be extremely troublesome."

"Yao Fei, don't forget that when you got into trouble back then and the warden wanted to punish you, I did everything I could to protect you!"

"Captain Li, I naturally won't forget your favor, but one matter is one matter. This..."

Li Jun frowned deeply. Before the person on the other end of the communicator could finish speaking, he interrupted her:

"I can help you when you deal with Chen Shengnan."

The person on the other end of the communicator fell silent again. After a while, she finally said:

"Deal!"

Li Jun turned off the communicator, a vicious glint flashing in his eyes:

Qin Hao, you dare fight me? Let's see how you die!

..

"At least it finally looks decent." Qin Hao gazed at the completely transformed room and let out a long sigh of relief.

Wang Ling was highly efficient. The things he requested were delivered very quickly.

The psychological counseling room now looked somewhat like what he had imagined. It would be complete once he added some greenery and decorations.

He checked the time. It was already twelve noon.

This was his lunchtime.

Compared with the other guards, who had to take turns eating, Qin Hao had considerably more freedom because he could control his own schedule.

The guard canteen was separate from the prisoner canteen. Its dishes were more varied, and they tasted better as well.

Of course, this was not free. Guards received meal allowances, and any amount exceeding the allowance had to be paid out of pocket.

Qin Hao was not picky about food. Two dishes and a soup were more than enough.

However, the ingredients in those dishes and soup were things he had never seen before, which he found rather novel.

As he savored the ingredients carefully, a voice sounded beside him:

"Excuse me, may I sit here?"

The voice was soft and sweet, very pleasant to hear.

Qin Hao raised his head and saw a young woman standing before the table. She had fair skin and delicate features.

"Of course." He smiled at her.

"Thank you." The woman returned his smile and sat opposite him.

Although a beautiful woman had appeared before him, Qin Hao paid no attention to her. He merely studied the ingredients on his tray and slowly savored their flavors.

However, while he paid no attention to her, she noticed him. The woman glanced at the identification number on his badge and suddenly exclaimed in pleasant surprise:

"You're 9527!"

Qin Hao looked up at her and nodded with a smile. "That's me."

"I heard about what happened earlier. You actually managed to subdue the crazed 3058. That's incredible!" she said to Qin Hao, her beautiful face filled with excitement and enthusiasm.

Qin Hao shook his head. "It was just a coincidence."

"9527, you're too modest. I've seen several psychological counselors, but they were all just filling a position. You're the only one with genuine ability," the woman said.

"You're making me embarrassed." Qin Hao revealed a bashful smile.

The woman looked at him with a beaming smile, then suddenly extended her slender hand. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Yao Fei, identification number: 1387."

"Hello. Qin Hao, identification number: 9527." Qin Hao reached out and shook her hand.

"Your surname is Qin? That's quite rare." Yao Fei gave him a meaningful glance. Clearly, she had thought of the Qin Family.

Qin Hao shook his head. "Don't read too much into it. I'm an orphan and have nothing to do with anyone."

"I'm sorry. I thought you were a member of the qin family." Yao Fei stuck out her pink tongue. "I knew it. How could a Qin Family Member come here to work as a guard?"

Qin Hao shrugged. "It's fine. In fact, I myself would very much like to be part of their family."

"Heehee." Yao Fei laughed when she heard this. "You're quite interesting. No wonder you're a psychological counselor. Talking with you isn't boring."

"You're welcome to visit the psychological counseling room and chat with me anytime." Qin Hao smiled at her.

"You said it yourself. I really will come." Yao Fei looked at him with a charming smile.

"With Miss Yao Fei's honored presence, I will certainly welcome you at my doorstep." Qin Hao nodded.

Yao Fei looked at him, her smile growing wider. After hesitating for a moment, she suddenly blushed and asked shyly, "Then, could you give me your communication code?"

Every communicator had a unique communication code. Once someone knew another person's communication code, they could communicate with them.

Yao Fei asking Qin Hao for his communication code was similar to a girl on Earth asking a man for his phone number.

Qin Hao readily gave her his communication code.

After saving Qin Hao's communication code into her communicator, Yao Fei's pretty face flushed slightly as she said to him:

"I'm considered a veteran here. If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask me."

Qin Hao nodded and immediately asked:

"I want to know—what is that silhouette in the female prisoner area?"

Yao Fei's expression changed. She shook her head and lowered her voice. "I don't know the details either. I've only heard about her occasionally. She was here when this prison was first established, and her strength is probably above five stars."

"What about the warden?" Qin Hao asked again.

Yao Fei still shook her head. "The warden is just as mysterious and unfathomable. Rumor has it that her strength is also above five stars, but in the entire prison, Li Jun is the only person who has seen her make a move. For some reason, however, Li Jun absolutely refuses to say exactly how strong the warden is."

"Then tell me about Li Jun," Qin Hao said again.

Yao Fei blinked. "There's nothing much to say about him. Isn't it all in his profile?"

"Then tell me what kind of person he is."

"What kind of person... I'm not very familiar with him." Yao Fei frowned.

Hearing this, Qin Hao gave her a deep look, then chuckled:

"Then tell me what taboos there are around here."

Hearing him ask this, Yao Fei's eyes lit up, and she immediately said:

"There are three great taboos in this prison. As long as you violate even one of them, you will certainly die. No one can save you."
