Tang Yaoyao ate until she was about seventy percent full. After going several days without having any hot food in her stomach, her stomach really did not feel very comfortable.

She got up and walked over to an empty dining table nearby, where she sat down and rested her head on the table while checking the System Shop.

Someone sat down beside her. When she looked up, she saw the handsome and slightly roguish Chen Dongming.Full novel: I Became a White Lotus in the Apocalypse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He asked with concern, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?”

Her eyes lit up, and she replied softly, “It’s just that my stomach feels a little uncomfortable.”

Chen Dongming took a bottle of water out of his backpack and opened the cap. “Here, have some water.”

“Brother Dongming, if I drink it, what will you do?” Tang Yaoyao looked at him with her large, watery eyes.

The System prompted, 【Favorability Points +2】. She now had twelve points.

“It’s fine. We’re going out tomorrow to look for supplies.”

Touched, she took the bottle from him, drank two sips, and handed it back. “Thank you.”

Chen Dongming asked, “Ah, you’re not going to finish it?”

Tang Yaoyao blinked at him. “I’m saving it for you. I’m already feeling better.”

He looked at the mouth of the bottle, then at her small, pink lips. Had they just indirectly kissed?

The System prompted, 【Favorability Points +1】. She now had thirteen points.

Tang Yaoyao was delighted inside. This really was an innocent young man. How could he be so easy to fool?

Everyone spent the night resting in the cafeteria.

The next morning,

Xi Yanfeng walked over to them and looked at Mu Yunyi. “We’re planning to leave the school. What about you?”

Mu Yunyi smiled. “I was thinking the same thing.”

“Then pack your things. We’ll leave in ten minutes.”

Tang Yaoyao quickly packed up her belongings and stood beside Chen Dongming with her iron rod in hand.

“I’m scared, Brother Dongming.”

Chen Dongming looked at her gently. “Don’t be afraid. Stay close to me when we go outside.”

Bai Youyou moved to stand beside Xi Yanfeng. “Um, can I stay behind you?”

Xi Yanfeng replied indifferently, “Sure, but don’t touch me.”

Bai Youyou fell silent.

After hearing that, Tang Yaoyao could not help wanting to laugh. It was truly satisfying.

They were both female supporting characters, so how could their fortunes be so completely different?

Soon, they left the cafeteria. The people who remained inside looked excited, clearly wishing for them to leave as quickly as possible.

Little did they know that their departure would be their greatest misfortune.

Mu Yunyi and Xi Yanfeng walked at the very front, Tang Yaoyao and Chen Dongming stayed on the left, and the rest followed behind them.

The group of eight stayed together as they moved forward, quickly attracting the attention of five or six nearby zombies.

They charged toward them, and Tang Yaoyao tightened her grip on the iron rod.

Chen Dongming summoned a golden arrow and accurately shot it into the head of one of the zombies.

Xi Yanfeng knocked two down with lightning, Mu Yunyi dealt with another two, and Li Hai used a watermelon knife to hack down one.

They continued forward, killing several more scattered zombies along the way.

Soon, they reached the school gate. A group of zombies was wandering outside, around a dozen of them.

Fighting in that location would easily attract the surrounding zombies and leave them surrounded. Even if they were not bitten to death, they would eventually be worn down by the sheer number of zombies.

Just as they were wondering how to get out through the school gate, a minibus suddenly passed by and opened its doors for them.

“Quick, get on!”

They quickly climbed aboard.

“Professor Xie, it’s so good to see you!” Han Liuliu immediately recognized the person driving.

Tang Yaoyao thought to herself that Xie Youlin was a medical professor who wore glasses and had a refined appearance, with a very easygoing personality.

Bai Youyou greeted the other two men inside the vehicle. “My name is Bai Youyou. I’m a second year student.”

One of them was a rather sunny and handsome young man. He greeted them, “Hi, everyone. My name is Xie Zian. The person beside me is Ji Moyu, and the one driving is my older brother.”

After briefly introducing themselves to one another, everyone found a seat and sat down.
