“I’m going to have you!”
Neon lights of every color flashed through the bar, the air thick with an undercurrent of desire.
The singer onstage had stopped singing. That sudden declaration cut through the chaos, leaving the revelers stunned.
Following everyone’s gaze, the crowd finally found the source of the voice. Shiny black dress shoes, long, straight legs beneath tailored trousers. Sharp brows, bright eyes, lips pressed into a firm line. He seemed to radiate a chill that made anyone shiver.
And yet someone failed to read the room and provoked him anyway. A young man, heedless of that icy aura, clung to Gu Jinji’s arm and dragged at him, reeking of alcohol.
“Ugh!” The young man’s stomach lurched, and he suddenly vomited a foul, alcohol-scented mess. The stench sent everyone scrambling back.
Gu Jinji’s eyes narrowed, his gaze turning glacial. He was like a volcano holding back an immense force, on the verge of erupting.
The onlookers fell silent. They recognized Gu Jinji at a glance: the new president of the Gu Group, who had doubled the Gu family’s assets in just one year at the helm.
More importantly, his germaphobia was extreme. The last person to touch his sleeve had nearly been thrown from the fourth floor. Even though he’d survived, the scare had left him shaken to the core.
Just as Gu Jinji was about to toss the young man out like a rag in disgust, he met a pair of hazy eyes. Their irises shimmered a luminous pale blue, like the depths of the sea. A bright red tear mole bloomed at the corner of one eye, striking enough to draw anyone in.
Gu Jinji stopped dead. His heart lurched, and he was so startled he nearly lost his composure. For the domineering president Gu, that was a rare thing indeed.
Then something even more astonishing happened.
Gu Jinji, a severe germaphobe, scooped the young man into his arms, even pulling him closer against his chest, and strode out of the bar.
The two bodyguards behind him exchanged looks, their faces saying the sky had fallen. They followed him out, walking with the same hand and foot forward, and nearly collided with each other.
By comparison, the onlookers felt even more as if they were dreaming.
Word of what happened spread quickly from that night on, becoming one of Constellation Bar’s most famous stories. But unless they’d seen it with their own eyes, no one believed it.
Yu Rong felt as if he were riding a roller coaster, trapped in a tiny space and swaying back and forth. The bed beneath him kept shaking, as though there were an earthquake.
His stomach churned again, and his thoughts twisted into a muddle.
Through the haze, he glimpsed a ridiculously handsome man who seemed to glow like an 800-watt light bulb.
The enticing, rounded curves beneath those black suit trousers kept swaying in front of him, catching the attention of his alcohol-dazed little brain.
Yu Rong swiftly reached out with a wolfish paw and gave them an enthusiastic squeeze. The feel of them was delightful, and he couldn’t bear to stop.
So what if his younger brother had stolen his childhood-friend fiancé, and his company had gone bankrupt?
Yu Rong didn’t care at all!
But that ungrateful wretch… Yu Rong had worn himself to the bone raising him, and had always put his best interests first.
And yet, for some piece of trash, he’d colluded with an outsider and brought the century-old Yu family business crashing down.
The thought brought Yu Rong a wave of grief, and under the influence of the alcohol, tears streamed down his face.
Gu Jinji’s expression had darkened as he felt that restless hand. He’d been dreaming of the person in his arms ever since he was ten. He’d watched him go from a little carrot to a young man, and he was certain this was the same person.
But…
Was this really what the man of his dreams was like?
He could feel the young man’s warmth in his arms, and Yu Rong was wiping his tears all over Gu Jinji’s clothes. Gu Jinji glanced at the steadily rising floor numbers in the hotel elevator, wishing he could throw Yu Rong right out of it.
But Gu Jinji’s face was always cold and expressionless. A slight furrow of his brow was enough to make anyone’s knees buckle with fear.
The two bodyguards exchanged a look, trying to work up their courage as they stared fixedly at the person in Gu Jinji’s arms.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
As Gu Jinji’s expression grew darker, the bodyguards went three shades paler. They wanted nothing more than to rush forward and pry the young man out of their boss’s arms.
They were afraid that the next thing they’d see would be the young man’s cold, lifeless body.
Then tomorrow’s headlines would read: Gu Group’s new president, in the throes of a severe germaphobic episode, kills young man for wiping his tears on his suit.
The other Gu Group employees would weep and blame them: “Number One, Number Two, why didn’t you save him?”
The thought sent a shiver through both men. They braced themselves, ready to spring into action.
But what they feared didn’t happen. Gu Jinji would never do anything to the man of his dreams. Still, his brow was knitted so tightly it looked as if it could crush a fly. He was clearly in no cheerful mood.
Ding! The elevator doors opened. Number One and Number Two thought that if they could just get the young man into a room, they’d be safe.
Thank heavens, they were almost there.
But then, just like that, disaster struck.
“Slap!”
“Click!”
The two sounds came one after the other, smooth as could be. In the blink of an eye, Gu Jinji and Yu Rong had disappeared into a room right in front of Number One and Number Two.
Number One knew things had gone terribly wrong. He met Number Two’s thunderstruck gaze, then hurriedly began pounding on the door, afraid the president would kill the young man.
Gu Jinji had barely been dragged inside by Yu Rong when the door slammed shut behind them with a crash, as if a demolition crew had taken it down.
Yu Rong stumbled and crashed to the floor, his head smacking against it with a loud crack.
“Waaah… Why am I so unlucky? You betrayed me! You bunch of ingrates!”
Sitting on the floor, Yu Rong felt terribly wronged. With the alcohol loosening his emotions, misery swept over him like a tidal wave.
Gu Jinji’s eyelid twitched. His head throbbed as he looked at his own disheveled state, then at the little man on the floor, crying his eyes out, snot and tears smeared together. Yu Rong looked hideous.
Pounding on the door rang out again and again. Number One and Number Two’s frantic voices came from the other side, and it sounded as though they were about to break the door down.
“Shut up!” Gu Jinji snapped at the door.
The noise outside stopped at once. Gu Jinji rubbed his tightly furrowed brow, only then noticing the strange movement at his legs.
Yu Rong’s bleary gaze traveled up from those shiny black shoes. A pair of long, straight legs swayed before him, tantalizingly close.
He wrapped both arms around one of them and grinned foolishly, his hands wandering upward. His vision was too hazy to make out the man’s face, but the strong arms were trying to pull him off.
Yu Rong wasn’t having it. He muttered under his breath and clung to the trouser leg with both hands.
With a handsome man appearing in his dream, maybe the heavens were making it up to him. How could he let the man go?
As they struggled, Gu Jinji’s shirt was soon covered in wrinkles, and several of the crystal buttons on his sleeves were forcibly torn away. He looked as if he’d been through a beating, thoroughly disheveled.
The little man kept pushing his luck. His wolfish paw reached for an intimate place, drawing a low groan from Gu Jinji.
Gu Jinji stared at him in disbelief. His gaze darkened, turning unfathomable. Heat began to rise through his body, stirring a strange sensation in him.
He didn’t know what had come over him, but Gu Jinji made no further move. He simply let Yu Rong continue.
Before long, a body with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and firm muscles was revealed in the room. From his sexy Adam’s apple to the sharply defined six-pack and beyond, every inch of him was perfect.
Yu Rong kept playing with him without the slightest shame, setting off sparks wherever his hands roamed. Soon, as though he’d found his favorite toy, he kept teasing the (censored) on Gu Jinji’s chest.
Then he gave it a hard tug. A low, hoarse sound rang through the otherwise silent room. The deep rumble made Yu Rong’s legs go weak and his gaze grow unfocused. He nearly passed out.
Hearing that sound, Number One and Number Two turned green. Their hands, which had been about to knock again, came to a halt. They dutifully stood guard outside the door, like a pair of burglars lurking nearby.
At last, Gu Jinji began to act. He stopped letting Yu Rong do as he pleased. Soon Yu Rong was left limp and empty, tossed onto the soft bed, where he sank into a white whirlpool.
A figure suddenly loomed over him, looking down with a gaze both alluring and dangerous.
