The reflection in the stone water vat showed a young girl.

Her delicate face was a perfect oval, adorned with beautifully arched willow leaf eyebrows and big, watery eyes that were as clear as a pristine pool.

Yet, across this otherwise exquisite face lay a massive black birthmark.Full novel: I Built a Bloodline Across the Beast World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It stretched from her right eye, cutting across her brow and nose, all the way to the left corner of her mouth.

No wonder Dora, that little female, kept calling her ugly; it truly was a hideous sight.

“System, aren’t you going to come out and explain this?” Misha asked.

Her original appearance might not have been enough to topple empires, but she had at least been an incredibly stunning beauty.

This time, not only was she bound to a bizarre fertility system, but she had also been completely stripped of her looks.

Even she felt sick looking at this face; it was a miracle Reya had agreed to become her mate.

[Hehe, please don’t worry, Host.

There is a Beauty Pill in the system shop!

After taking it, you’ll gain unparalleled beauty.

Plus, the changes happen gradually, so you won’t have to worry about anyone getting suspicious.]

“I suspect you’re just trying to scam me out of my points.”

Having completed so many system world missions, she understood how these points worked.

The system needed points to upgrade, and every time she spent them, the system would take a cut, which only benefited itself.

[That’s not true, Host!

The system shop has a lot of great items.

Would you like to take a look?]

“Let’s see it.” She had nothing better to do anyway.

The system pulled up the shop interface:

Fertility Pill: 10 points (random gender), 15 points (selectable gender).

Multiple Birth Pills: 30 points (twins, selectable gender), 50 points (selectable number of babies and gender).

Body Strengthening Pill: 20 points, applicable to oneself and cubs (effects can be stacked).

Pain Relief Pill: 15 points (lasts for 24 hours).

Power Pill: 10 points (grants the strength to tear enemies apart bare-handed).

Beauty Pill: 20 points.

Hundred Eating Without Fat Pill: 10 points.

Antidote Pill: 10 points.

Good Luck Doll: 20 points.

Anti-wolf Spray: 5 points.

Fake Death Pill: 10 points.

Misha scanned the list.

It was indeed quite tempting.

Her novice gift pack already included a Fertility Pill and Multiple Birth Pills, so she wasn’t in a rush for those.

Since she was currently in a Beast World Tribe, surrounded by savage birds and ferocious beasts on the outside, the Body Strengthening Pill and Power Pill were her top priorities.

One had to be strong to survive, and she had no intention of being a frail damsel in distress.

[How about it, Host?

Do you see anything you like?

You can get a twenty percent discount on your first purchase!]

“Alright then.

I’ll take one Body Strengthening Pill, one Power Pill, and one Beauty Pill.”

[DING.

Host has successfully spent 40 points.

You have obtained one Body Strengthening Pill, one Power Pill, and one Beauty Pill.

They have been sent to your inventory.

Please check them.]

Misha retrieved the pills from her inventory and swallowed them all in one gulp without a second thought.

Fifteen minutes later, she felt a warm rush throughout her body.

Her limbs grew incredibly light; the pills were taking effect.

She tried lifting the stone water vat in front of her.

The vat, which weighed at least a few hundred kilograms, was hoisted over her head with effortless ease.

Not bad.

She was very satisfied.

At dusk, Reya returned to the tribe carrying a wild goat on his shoulders.

When he reached the door of his wooden cabin, he froze in surprise.

The cabin, which should have been pitch black, was now warmly illuminated by a faint firelight.

A strange feeling swelled in his chest.

Was this what it felt like to have a home?

Misha stood at the doorway and greeted him.

“Reya, you’re back.”

“Yeah.

I caught a wild goat today.

We’ll have goat meat for dinner.” As Reya spoke, he skillfully set up a campfire by the door.

He used the most primitive method, rubbing wood together to create friction until a flame sparked.

Immediately after, his hand transformed into a sharp claw.

With a loud SWISH SWISH SWISH, he flawlessly separated the goat’s meat and bones from its hide.

Barbecue!

Her absolute favorite!

However, Misha had rejoiced too soon.

Reya’s roasted goat meat was charred pitch-black on the outside, while the inside was dripping with blood and completely undercooked.

She had no choice but to use a Bone Knife to cut the meat into smaller chunks and roast them over the fire again.

Although Reya found her actions a bit strange, he didn’t stop her.

After dinner, Reya took the goat hide to the nearby stream to wash it.

Once it was thoroughly cleaned, he hung it up to dry so it would be ready for use in the winter.

By the time he returned, Misha had already fallen asleep on a bed of dried hay.

The moonlight spilled through the doorway and cast a gentle glow on her face, painting a picture of absolute tranquility.

Reya stood by silently and watched her for a while.

Then, he shook his body and shifted into his beast form.

His true form was a yellow-furred hound about the size of a wolf.

He found a corner and lay down.

From there, he could easily keep an eye on Misha with just a glance, while the cabin door remained perfectly within his line of sight.

After a good night’s sleep, Misha woke up to the mouthwatering aroma of roasted meat.

It was the leftover goat from last night.

Reya had mimicked her actions from the previous evening, cutting the meat into small chunks, skewering them on branches, and roasting them over the fire.

Once they finished eating, Misha told him about her idea, only to be immediately rejected.

“No.

The forest is too dangerous.

A little female like you will lose your life out there,” Reya said, his expression completely serious.

“I won’t.

Back when I didn’t have enough to eat, I used to sneak into the forest all the time, and I’m still perfectly alive and well, aren’t I?”

Hearing Misha mention that she used to go hungry, Reya’s heart ached with a dull pang.

“But…”

Misha grabbed his arm and shook it, pleading sweetly.

“Come on.

I promise you, if I run into any danger, I’ll run away immediately.

I’ll be absolutely fine.”

“…”

Reya had never been coaxed so sweetly by a little female before.

His face flushed red.

It was like a spark igniting dry tinder.

“Then you must remember to stay close to me.”

“Okay, I promise!” Misha’s voice was sweet, and a satisfied smile blossomed on her face.

Outside the Dog Clan Tribe lay a massive, lush forest spanning hundreds of acres.

The woods were dense with countless towering trees that blotted out the sun.

Within this forest, there was a main river and several smaller streams.

Most of the local wildlife came to these waters to drink, making these spots the absolute best locations for an ambush during a hunt.

Wearing the sneakers she had transmigrated with, Misha followed Reya—who was already in his beast form—as they navigated through the woods.

It truly was a vast forest.

As they walked, they occasionally crossed paths with a lost squirrel or a few wild rabbits.

Reya led Misha to the edge of a small stream.

They hid themselves in a patch of thick bushes and lay in wait.

Ambushing prey by the stream was usually a tactic reserved for young cubs or beginners.

The risk factor was low, but it required an immense amount of time and patience, which was why adult males rarely chose to hunt here.

However, with Misha by his side today, Reya didn’t dare take any risks.

He figured he would try his luck at the stream.

They waited for two hours.

Aside from a few rabbits and small birds coming down to drink, they didn’t spot a single piece of large prey.

“Reya, are we going to keep waiting?” Misha asked.

Reya looked up at the sky.

It was almost noon, which meant the animals wouldn’t be coming out to drink anymore.

“No.

Let’s head somewhere else.”

Since there was hardly any prey left on the outskirts of the forest, their only option was to venture deeper inside.

ROAR!

A ferocious tiger’s roar echoed through the trees.

Reya’s expression changed instantly.

He shifted back into his human form, grabbed Misha’s hand, and sprinted in the opposite direction.

Before Misha could even speak, she heard rapid footsteps closing in from behind, accompanied by the terrifying sound of sharp claws shredding through tree bark.

“Reya, watch out!”
