Two figures sprinted madly through the forest, a massive, fierce-eyed yellow tiger hot on their heels.

The beast was two to three meters long with robust, muscular limbs.

Wherever its sharp claws swiped, wood splinters flew into the air, and a tree trunk as thick as a man’s thigh was snapped in half with a single strike.Full novel: I Built a Bloodline Across the Beast World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Focused only on what was behind them, they failed to watch their front.

Suddenly, another tiger lunged from the left, aiming straight for Reya’s neck.

Misha spotted it first.

She raised her hand and shoved him hard.

The force propelled Reya ten meters forward, allowing him to narrowly escape the beast’s terrifying jaws.

It all happened in an instant.

Taking advantage of the moment, Misha kicked the tiger while it was still suspended mid-air.

The Power Pill had granted her the strength of an ox; with just a light kick, she sent the enormous beast flying.

“Misha, come here, quick!”

Reya scrambled to his feet, only to see the first tiger about to pounce on Misha from behind.

Standing on its hind legs, the two-to-three-meter-long tiger towered over them, its gaping jaws baring razor-sharp teeth.

Misha’s face showed not a hint of fear.

She raised her slender arm, letting her palm meet the tiger’s furry head.

With a flip of her delicate hand, she casually tossed it.

The beast, weighing easily over a hundred kilograms, was effortlessly thrown over her shoulder.

Reya’s eyes widened in disbelief.

He had never seen a female with such immense strength.

The two tigers exchanged a glance and let out a furious roar.

Shaking off his shock, Reya shifted into his true form and lunged forward to grapple with one of them.

However, his physical size was less than half that of the tiger.

He could only rely on his agility to run circles around the beast.

Misha faced the other tiger head-on.

Moving as fast as lightning, she effortlessly dodged its sharp claws right before they could strike her.

“ROAR!”

Feeling toyed with, the tiger angrily clawed at the ground.

Misha figured she had tested her skills enough.

Picking up a large boulder from the ground, she gave a light leap and smashed the massive stone directly into the tiger’s skull.

Warm brains splattered across Misha’s face, filling her with intense disgust.

But there was no time to wipe it off.

Tossing aside the blood-stained rock, she stealthily approached the other tiger.

Catching the beast off guard, she leaped up and mounted its back.

Her thin arms wrapped tightly around the tiger’s massive head, squeezing with all her might.

The tiger howled in pain.

It tried to shake Misha off but completely failed.

Finally, with a sickening series of CRACKS, the tiger’s neck was brutally snapped by Misha’s bare hands.

“This…”

Exhausted, Reya collapsed limply to the ground, watching helplessly as the massive tiger’s head slammed heavily into the dirt.

Now he truly believed that Misha had previously come into the forest alone to forage.

With her strength and skills, even some males couldn’t compare to her.

Misha rolled off the tiger’s back and leaned against a tree trunk to rest.

Half an hour later, Reya carried the two tigers back to the Dog Clan Tribe.

As soon as they returned, the two tigers drew the immediate attention of the tribespeople.

Once they confirmed the beasts were dead, a few emboldened individuals stepped forward.

“Reya, are these tigers you hunted?” an elderly male asked, his eyes burning with fervor.

He had hunted his entire life but had never once bagged a tiger.

After all, only a newly appointed Clan Leader would hunt a tiger to prove his strength before inheriting the position.

The crowd couldn’t help but wonder if Reya was planning to compete for the Clan Leader position.

“Yes.

Misha helped me hunt them,” Reya answered truthfully.

“Misha?

I heard you two are becoming mates?” a young female asked, looking at Reya with sparkling eyes.

“Yes.”

“The Clan Leader said you need to hunt ten prey animals before you can mate with a female.

Is that true?”

Faced with the sudden barrage of interest from his tribespeople, Reya found himself a bit overwhelmed.

Misha pursed her lips and stepped forward.

“It is.

When the time comes, we’ll invite everyone to eat tiger meat and celebrate together.”

“That sounds wonderful!

These two tigers should count for at least four medium-sized prey, right?”

“Definitely.

You and Misha are amazing, Reya.

I doubt even the Clan Leader has ever hunted a tiger.”

The males and females chattered away endlessly.

Seeing everyone praising Reya, a female in the crowd indignantly clenched her fists.

She raised an eyebrow and scoffed coldly.

“It’s not even certain they were the ones who killed them.

How could a Yellow-rank male dragging a little female along possibly take down such prey?”

The moment she spoke, the surroundings fell dead silent.

They turned toward the voice, and upon seeing it was Dora, no one dared to utter another word.

Dora pushed through the crowd and walked right up to Reya.

“Reya, you didn’t seek out a Wandering Beast just to gather enough prey, did you?

That’s unacceptable.

You’d be bringing disaster upon the Dog Clan Tribe.”

At the mere mention of the words “Wandering Beast,” everyone’s faces paled.

Wandering Beasts were outcast males who roamed outside the tribes.

Belonging to no tribe or clan, they often launched sneak attacks to plunder females.

Moreover, they were generally quite powerful, instilling deep fear in both males and females alike.

“No, I didn’t,” Reya explained.

“How could you not?

Otherwise, how could a single male like you catch two tigers?

These beasts were probably killed by snake venom.

No one would dare eat them!”

“N-no, there’s no venom.”

“How could there not be—”

Misha furrowed her brows and said loudly, “Are you incapable of understanding simple words?”

“Ugly freak, what did you just say?!”

“Reya made it perfectly clear.

He and I hunted these tigers together.

There are no Wandering Beasts, and there is no snake venom.” Misha’s words were resolute and clear.

Dora stomped her feet in anger.

“Just because you say so doesn’t make it true!

What proof do you have?”

“Why do I need to prove anything?

Just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean others can’t.”

“You ugly freak, you—”

“Clan Leader, you’re here.”

At that moment, Chief Saki walked over, accompanied by his male cub, Harry.

Saki quietly scanned the area before his gaze finally landed on the tigers Reya had brought.

A flash of jealousy and malice crossed his eyes.

As the Leader of the Dog Clan, even he had never hunted a tiger alone.

Reya doing this was a direct slap in the face!

“Father!

This ugly—Misha insists that she and Reya hunted these two tigers, but she can’t produce any proof.

Hurry and kick this lying female out of the tribe before she corrupts everyone else!” With her father present, Dora immediately grew bolder.

“Nonsense.” Saki turned to Reya.

“Reya, you know how Dora is.

Don’t hold it against her.

How about this: tomorrow, I’ll have Harry go hunting with you two.

As long as you can hunt two medium-sized prey animals, I’ll let Harry testify that you indeed possess the strength to hunt tigers.”

Surviving a tiger encounter in a single day was already a stroke of immense luck; they wouldn’t have that kind of fortune every day.

The Clan Leader was deliberately making things difficult.

Reya furrowed his brows deeply.

“But, Clan Leader…”

Misha cut Reya off.

“If we can do it, does that mean Reya and I can become mates ahead of schedule?” She could clearly see that this Chief Saki was playing dirty.

“Yes.”

“Alright then, we accept.”

It was just two prey animals.

How hard could it be?

Could it be harder than hunting tigers?

Reya turned his head to look at Misha, thinking to himself that his little female was a bit reckless.
