Su Yang gained the knowledge of how to wield the Phoenix Flames the moment he acquired them.
The kangaroo didn’t even blink as it kept a close watch on him. Its green eyes were chilly, emitting killing intent.
Thud! Thud!
It was bouncing up and down as golden-black Demonic Qi wrapped around its legs.
"Phoenix Flames." Su Yang whispered as dark crimson-coloured fire erupted from his hands. He clenched his fists as they were covered by Phoenix Flames.
"So comfortable." He smiled, almost closing his eyes as the flames were so relaxing. He almost felt like he had returned to his mother’s embrace.
The kangaroo had a different reaction. Its eyes widened in fear. It stopped jumping and pivoted right. It ran with all its might as Demonic Qi condensed densely around its legs.
"You’re not getting away." Su Yang threw the flames by waving his palm. The crimson flames chased after the running monster, like a flamethrower.
Whoosh!
The fire swiftly connected with the beast.
"Ahhh!" It shrieked the moment its fur caught fire. It didn’t even take a moment for its entire body to start burning, emitting Zzz! sounds.
Its cries lasted only a few seconds before it died while still standing.
"Wait! No!" Su Yang yelled as he hurried to wipe out the Phoenix Flames.
"My meat." He scowled as he picked up a burnt smell instead of the sweet aroma of cooked meat.
He stopped channelling his Blood Qi as the flames vanished, but the kangaroo was still ignited.
"Stop!" He roared as he rushed closer. Using his Blood Qi, he managed to stop it, but he wasn’t happy. His expression fell as only a skeleton remained standing in front of him.
All the flesh and internal organs were burnt to dust.
"What a power?" He clicked his tongue. "Even Nirvana Flames cannot burn this vigorously."
Nirvana Flames are healing-type flames. They can scorch enemies under the user’s control, but their power pales in comparison to Phoenix Flames.
"And it drains very much." Su Yang nodded, checking his reserves. "It took me 10 Blood Qi Wisps."
"Good." He held his chin. "Now, let’s cultivate 300 Blood Qi Wisps."
A few hours later, in the cave.
Su Yang took a piece of meat from a white sheep’s carcass and cooked it with Nirvana Flames. Soon, it turned golden and was ready to be eaten.
He blew air onto the hot meat and took a bite. "Just like I expected." He closed his eyes as he chewed it in delight. He found that all the Demonic Beasts he had devoured were exquisitely tasty.
He then stood up and took the Phoenix Stance. He flapped his hands like a bird. Virtual Nirvana Flames surrounded him, but they turned into real flames under his cheat’s influence.
"Breathing pattern also changed, and the flames are now real." Su Yang went through the Undying Phoenix Stance again, as the Minor Perfection Realm had a few changes.
Under his cheat’s guidance, it didn’t take much time for him to master the new version.
His lips curved up as he noticed that his refining of Demonic Qi had sped up. He quickly finished the entire sheep except for its core.
Su Yang scratched his head. "Very little growth?" He didn’t feel any exponential power-up like before.

"Ten Blood Qi Wisps!" He raised his brows in surprise. ’At the Entry level of Blood Qi, a Minor Perfection Realm beast gave me almost 100 Wisps. Now, only ten...’ He folded his hands in understanding. ’The stronger the realm, the more resources are needed.’
In fact, his body had gotten stronger. It wasn’t that the beast he killed had less Demonic Qi. Most of it was taken by his body to maintain itself, while the remaining energy was used to create new Qi.
More energy was needed to create subsequent Qi Wisps, as it was tough to make an already strong body even stronger. The beginning of climbing a mountain is easy, but the higher you go, the harder it becomes, and reaching each additional height requires more effort.
Su Yang sat down as he didn’t care much. "Let’s keep hunting for more." It was just more beasts for him. He wasn’t disappointed much by this new discovery, as he could refine Demonic Qi unlike normal humans, and his Undying Phoenix was far superior.
’Even if this is thousands of times more resource-heavy, I would still cultivate this.’ He nodded to himself.
How could he stop this technique for such a thing? Its power had already shown him that it was worthy enough to train.
He then pulled out the Undying Phoenix Blood Qi Forging Technique from his storage pouch and read it once more.
"Yup!" His lips twitched in disappointment. "It doesn’t tell me about the characteristics gained for each Minor Realm." He was a bit eager to know what he would gain after reaching the next realm.
He folded it and placed it in his storage pouch. "I should inquire about this with Master, along with the Secret Art I gained suddenly."
He yawned and fell asleep, lying on the ground.
The next day, the sun had just begun rising.
Su Yang took a bath in the pond he found before and dressed in a new crimson robe.
He neatly tied his long hair with a delicate and luxurious male hairpin.
"Today, let’s kill three to five monsters first and then cultivate." He planned it that way, since one Minor Realm beast had no major effect on him.
He then began searching, first looking for marks on the ground, whether they were footprints or feces... anything could be helpful.
After a few minutes of careful scanning, he paused as he heard a sound like someone had leapt onto a tree.
Su Yang raised his head. He found a massive canopy that acted as a natural barrier to sunlight. Only a bit of light leaked through. However, it wasn’t what attracted his attention. Instead, there were many people clad in black robes and hoods glaring at him with red eyes.
They licked their lips as they scrutinised him. Su Yang felt a chill down his spine as he sensed lust and playfulness in their eyes.
"It’s him, isn’t it?" A thin man removed his hood and asked. He was an old man with a dried, wrinkled face. Everyone respected him, turning towards him when he inquired, and had lowered their heads a bit.
Su Yang narrowed his eyes. ’His Qi is so heavy.’ He had never encountered someone this strong before.
The old man looked like just an ordinary human, but Su Yang sensed a deep smell of blood from him, along with a raging energy within his thin body.
"Indeed, Elder Go," an average-build young man agreed plainly, landing next to the old man.
He held a palm-sized crystal in his hands. It shone with white light and emitted a glow that seemed to point in Su Yang’s direction.
"Who are you?" Su Yang raised his voice. He was ready to activate his Phoenix Flames based on their response.
