"Undying Phoenix Fist!"
Su Yang’s punch connected with the nearest man’s back. Bang! The man blew into pieces.
Blood splashed as crimson Phoenix Flames erupted, burning everything away. Su Yang picked up the storage bag, having controlled his power so it wouldn’t be destroyed. He also picked up Jin’s storage pouch.
Boom!
He then went after another man. The man felt hot energy rushing towards him. He pivoted and roared, "Blood Kick, Blood Burning Art!"
He pushed everything to its limit for his survival. The light crimson Blood Qi surrounding him turned into flames. Grey hair was already present at his temples, but now his entire head had turned grey, and his skin had also dried up, forming wrinkles.
He became old in the blink of an eye. Despite all his efforts, he was no match for Su Yang.
Bang!
Su Yang’s fist collided with the man’s leg.
Crack!
The man’s leg bone shattered instantly, and he was flung into the air, smashing into a few of his friends. He stopped after knocking down ten of his fellow Blood Fiend Sect members.
Su Yang calmly flashed forward. "Undying Phoenix Fist!"
Boom! Bang!
He killed more than ten in just a few seconds. ’To think I became a killer.’ He sighed bitterly. ’But I cannot leave them alive.’
He had gotten used to killing after he had killed a few thieves under his father’s orders.
’I should thank Father.’ He mused as his wings flapped once more. Without his father’s training, he might have struggled to slaughter them. He indeed valued life, but he knew it was impossible for the Blood Fiend Sect members to turn back after tasting the rapid cultivation brought by demonic arts.
Bang!
Boom!
He calmly and swiftly ended the Blood Fiend Sect members one by one, without blinking.
He only used the Undying Phoenix Fist to attack and the Undying Phoenix Wing Step to catch up with them.
After a few minutes, Su Yang stood in a pile of corpses, but not a single drop of blood was on him or his robe. After noticing everyone had turned into lumps of flesh, he tried to reduce his Blood Qi with the help of his cheat. Not only did he manage to control his power, but he also gained greater mastery. Due to his newfound strength, he managed to leave their bodies behind.
He checked his cheat as a luminous panel flashed into view.
[Undying Phoenix Wing Step
Beginner 10/100]
[Undying Phoenix Fist
Beginner 3/100]
He had used the Wing Step more often, allowing him to gain greater mastery over it.
"Phoenix Wing Step." He rubbed his chin. "Unlike normal movement techniques, it can be used for short bursts or long distances." His pupils shone with joy. "As expected of Master’s technique, a powerful movement technique."
He picked up all the storage pouches from the dead bodies.
He licked his lips as he glanced in the direction Elder Go had fled. Boom! He flapped his wings. "Undying Phoenix Wing Step!"
Multiple afterimages were left behind as he used his wings to speed up.
He stopped all of a sudden as he found two footprints on the ground, one on his left and the other on his right. He picked up a rock and threw it into the air. It fell to his right.
"It’s destiny," he mumbled as he dashed off.
In a few moments, he caught up with Han, who was panting and sweating. His entire body was covered in sweat, and his robe stuck to him, but he didn’t dare stop.
Su Yang appeared in front of him. Han froze and fell to his knees with a thud!
"Please leave me alive," he pleaded, tears falling from his face. "It’s that old man’s fault," he hissed. "Elder Mo!"
Su Yang, who was about to end him, paused. "Elder Mo? Is that the old guy who ordered you all to exhaust my reserves?" he asked, frowning. After all, he had seen only one person commanding every Blood Fiend Sect group that had tried to kill him.
"No," Han shook his head. "We came to this forest because Elder Mo requested our help."
Su Yang raised his brows.
"It’s like this..." Han explained everything except the fact that Bai Ruo and the others had been captured.
"A powerful Myriad Dao Sect and a Level 1 Superb-grade sword." Su Yang understood. "No wonder you all spoke of it." He grinned. "Such a pity, my power doesn’t come from a sword."
"If I had the sword, you’d have been dead long ago." He snarled at Han and raised his hand, which was wrapped in phoenix Blood Qi. "Any last words?"
Since Han had explained a few things to him, he decided to let him say his last words.
"I want you to kill Elder Mo!" he shouted as he closed his eyes. "Promise m..."
He coughed up blood as Su Yang’s fist landed on his chest, shattering all his internal organs.
Thud!
He fell backwards, dead!
"Don’t worry. I’ll send that Mo guy to accompany you." Su Yang pulled the storage pouch from Han’s waist.
He then sped off and returned to the area where the Ninth Elder had kicked Han to the other side. Su Yang followed the footprints, but after a few seconds, he stopped. The marks vanished, and untouched grassy ground remained in his view.
Elder Go had left footprints leading Su Yang in one direction for some distance before fleeing. Su Yang scrutinised the trees, rocks, and surrounding area for a few hundred metres, but he didn’t find anything.
"Old fox." He cursed as his wings disappeared and his raging phoenix Blood Qi calmed down.
Su Yang was only a little annoyed, since he had already gained massive benefits. ’I couldn’t stop him from killing more people.’ He knew Elder Go would drain more people’s blood.
"You won’t be so lucky next time."
’I shouldn’t underestimate old cultivators from now on.’ He felt he could catch up with Elder Go’s speed, but the man had vanished into thin air in the middle of his escape.
He then returned to the cave he had lived in for the past eight days. He began checking his loot.
He first checked Han’s pouch.
"Good, good!" He burst out laughing as he found around two thousand bottles of Level 1 Blood-Strengthening Pills, healing pills, and a few other items.
He scowled when he found a bag full of human blood. "Damn you!" He burned it with his Phoenix Flames right away.
Zzz!
It took him more than half an hour to check everything.
"A ten thousand or so bottles of Level 1 Blood-Strengthening Pills." He said flatly, without any joy, as he discovered that everyone had at least one blood bag, and many carried multiple bags.
"Are they vampires?" He gritted his teeth. "But even they would leave humans alive."
As he sorted through his loot, Elder Mo was spying on him from a few hundred metres away using wooden binoculars.
