The next morning, Bo Ye left.
After breakfast, Ruan Mi called Bo Yuan. She had forgotten to check on her the night before because of Bo Ye’s situation.
The phone rang for a long time before being answered. Ruan Mi thought Bo Yuan had gotten into trouble from drinking. As soon as the call connected, Ruan Mi quickly asked,
“Yuan Yuan, were you alright when you got home last night? Did your brother do anything to you?”
There was a pause on the other end, and the voice was a little hoarse. Ruan Mi didn’t suspect anything, assuming it was from drinking last night. “I’m fine. I drank too much yesterday; I even blacked out a bit. By the way, how are you?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Are you sober now? Could you come to Yujing Bay?”
“Sure, no problem.”
Bo Yuan answered readily. Ruan Mi’s lips curved slightly. “Okay, I’ll wait for you at Yujing Bay.”
“Are you done calling?”
A man’s voice suddenly came through the receiver, very pleasant and somewhat familiar.
“Yuan Yuan, is anyone still at your house?” ”
Um, just delivering food. Never mind, I’ll hang up now. Wait for me at home!”
The phone rang and the busy tone left Ruan Mi completely bewildered.
…
“Xie Jingchen, are you crazy? Can’t you see I’m on the phone? Why are you interrupting?”
Bo Yuan clutched the blanket to her chest, extremely annoyed by Xie Jingchen’s sudden interruption.
Little did she know, her fierce demeanor was completely pleasing the man’s twisted psychology.
Xie Jingchen pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, his handsome thin lips curving into a superior smile.
He leaned forward, slowly pressing closer to Bo Yuan, his lust growing stronger in his eyes.
Bo Yuan instinctively leaned back; she was all too familiar with this man’s gaze.
“Delivering food? So, A-Yuan likes this kind of fun.”
He was about to kiss her when Bo Yuan turned her head, and the man’s kiss landed on her ear.
Xie Jingchen chuckled, kissing along Bo Yuan’s earlobe down to her neck.
Bo Yuan’s eyes widened, and she reached out to hit him, but the man grabbed her hand.
“Xie Jingchen, let go of me! Have you no shame?”
Xie Jingchen remained unmoved, chuckling softly in her ear. “Bo Yuan, you were the one who initiated it last night. I was the one who was forced.”
Bo Yuan glared at him angrily. She had drunk too much last night, so of course she would do whatever he said.
But the thought of being involved with this man again last night made her heart ache terribly.
Her eyes instantly reddened, tears welling up.
Bo Yuan stubbornly tilted her head back, refusing to let them fall.
This deep-seated grievance completely threw the calm and composed man off balance.
Xie Jingchen released Bo Yuan’s hand, sat down, and pulled her into his arms.
Xie Jingchen: “Why are you crying? Did I hurt you? Don’t cry, I’ll let you bite me.”
He then offered his hand to Bo Yuan’s lips. Bo Yuan didn’t hold back and bit down hard.
Xie Jingchen only frowned slightly, letting Bo Yuan bite him.
Suddenly, a tear fell onto his arm, almost burning a hole in his heart.
His other hand gently stroked Bo Yuan’s hair, soothing her with each stroke.
Perhaps she had vented her emotions, or perhaps she simply felt it was pointless.
Bo Yuan released her mouth; a trace of blood in her mouth made her very uncomfortable.
Xie Jingchen then scooped her up and carried her to the bathroom.
Bo Yuan: “Xie Jingchen, what are you doing? I don’t have the strength to play with you.”
She wasn’t wearing anything; if he dared to do anything else, she would cripple him.
Xie Jingchen carried her to the bathroom, personally washing and dressing her, the whole process very proper.
Bo Yuan got up to leave, but the door was locked from the inside.
Bo Yuan turned back, “Open it, I want to leave.”
Xie Jingchen sat to the side, applying medicine to himself, silent, his mood low, like an abandoned stray cat.
Bo Yuan forced herself not to soften and said loudly again, “Xie Jingchen, I’m leaving.”
Xie Jingchen finally looked up, his eyes filled with unyielding emotions.
“Where are you going? I’ll take you.”
Bo Yuan: “No need, I have my own car.”
Xie Jingchen got up and came to Bo Yuan, reaching out to tuck a stra y hair behind her ear, his tone gentle, “Ah Yuan, let’s stop making a fuss, okay? I’ll tell you about what happened back then, we…”
“Xie Jingchen.”
Bo Yuan interrupted him, “I don’t want to know the specifics of what happened back then anymore. That was your choice, and I respect it.
Now, please respect my choice too. If we don’t love each other anymore, we should let go. Being wishy-washy isn’t your style.”
“Don’t love each other anymore?”
Hearing that he didn’t love her anymore, Xie Jingchen could no longer remain calm.
He ripped open his collar, exposing his sexy collarbone to the air.
There were also dense, ambiguous marks on it, and below the marks was a row of small words.
“If you don’t love me anymore, you would have kissed it over and over last night. If you don’t love me anymore, you would have called my name over and over again.”
She then ripped open Bo Yuan’s collar, revealing a row of small words on her beautiful collarbone.
The same handwriting, the same location.
“You still kept it, and you’re telling me you don’t love me anymore.”
After Xie Jingchen finished speaking, Bo Yuan’s face turned deathly pale.
Her thin lips trembled, and her eyes flickered slightly.
She then pulled her collar back, trying to suppress the bitterness in her heart.
She looked up at Xie Jingchen with a smile and replied, word by word,
“So what does that prove? Who hasn’t done a few foolish things when they were young?
We’re all adults, it’s just a matter of mutual benefit between men and women.”
As she spoke, she pointed to her collarbone, “I should thank Mr. Xie for reminding me. I’ll wash it off in a bit, otherwise it will keep reminding me of my stupidity.”
Bo Yuan made her point clearly; her attitude was firm, and she didn’t want to have anything to do with Xie Jingchen anymore.
Xie Jingchen suddenly grabbed Bo Yuan’s wrist, his eyes sharp and cold, but deep in them was a deep sadness.
“If you dare to wash it off, I’ll lock you up. Is it only by breaking your wings that you’ll behave?”
Bo Yuan suddenly burst into laughter, and as she laughed, tears streamed down her face.
“Xie Jingchen, I’m the eldest daughter of the Bo family. What right do you have to lock me up? My brother is Bo Ye. You dare touch me and see what happens.”
Xie Jingchen remained unmoved, each word dripping with venom. “A pampered young lady raised in the countryside since childhood, do you really think they’d care whether you live or die?”
A crisp slap echoed.
This was Bo Yuan’s Achilles’ heel, the deepest pain she didn’t want to touch.
“A Yuan, I…”
Bo Yuan: “Xie Jingchen, don’t let me see you again. Open the door.”
The door opened, Bo Yuan left, and Xie Jingchen stood there silently.
Why did things turn out this way? This wasn’t his intention.
Assistant Lu Huaizhou saw his boss, Xie, looking like a wilted eggplant, and then glanced at the young lady Bo, her eyes red and swollen, storming off in anger.
He felt a mix of emotions.
They say arguments in bed are resolved in bed, and that there’s nothing a good night’s sleep can’t fix. Had he not slept with her enough?
His eyes involuntarily drifted towards Xie Jingchen’s crotch.
Then they left quickly, which shouldn’t be the case!
