Samiko, the daughter of the Grand Dream witch, received a calling deep in her soul, resonating with her. So when she finally received a letter to join the hero party, it felt like she was meant to do this.
Masato, prince of the Eastern kingdom and son of the Crimson Sun Fox, also received the same calling and ran to the meet-up of the hero party. He felt like something part of him was over there.
They were both SSS-rank adventurers in their country and thus deemed suitable to save mankind from the demon king's grasp!
Lumi, a blunt, sassy Nightmare Top Assassin and an orphan lizard-kin, and Josh, an otherworldly Sacred Warrior and a human, are the reason why the hero party existed.
The four heroes travelled the world, fighting back and killing demons while saving innocents, to stop the demon king's progression of taking over the world.
Samiko, with her use of magic and the deadly precision of her curses, easily paralyses the enemies and even destroys the souls of the weaker enemies, and Masato, with his sturdiness of body and his swift shooting of his bow and arrows, makes a terrific duo.
Josh, with his clever use of light magic and his incredible sword technique, easily made a path into the enemy and attracted their attention, which was especially helpful for Lumi to hide in the shadows and strike at the enemy's weak points. The four soon became the worst fear for the demonkind.
Despite their fighting compatibility and travelling, it still took them 17 years to reach the demon castle.

"FUCKING BITCH!!!" Lumi cussed out as they finally made it to the gate of the demon lord's castle. "How fucking cowardly is this guy?!" She rants even more.
Samiko rubbed the bridge of her nose, tired from the countless spatial locks and dimension switches they had to break through to make it here. "No swearing now... My head hurts from breaking through the traps..."
"FU-" Josh covers her mouth with his palm. "Calm, calm. You can rant however long you want after we killed the demon lord," He smiled handsomely at her, which froze her mind, making her blush from his smile.
"O-Okay..." Lumi had transformed into a shy, blushing mess thanks to Josh before Josh took his hand away.
Masato whistles. "Damn, still in love as ever, right?"
"Fufufu... Now, we still have one last thing to do before retiring~" She hums as she points her staff at the gate.
"W-W-Wait! I'm still nearb-" An intense explosion permeates through the gate, shaking the entire castle.
Lumi and Josh stare at her and shake their heads. This clearly wasn't the first time she had done this to Masato.
"Fwwuaaah!" Masato pushes himself out of the rubble, with black blemishes all over his body, but no injuries.
"Come on! You gotta stop doing this!" He shouts back.
"Only if you stop flirting with other girls", Samiko 'gently’ smiled at him, which froze him.
"T-T-That was one time!" He tried to clear himself of the crime, but to no avail, as Lumi and Josh shook their head again before entering the castle.
"Oh? Even though you and I are engaged?" Her staff core started glowing sinisterly as Masato screamed in horror.
"NO! NO! NOOOOOOOO!"

A few weeks went by, and they finally slew the demon lord in their castle. Who would've thought that countless dragon golems were there, waiting to ambush the heroes? But the heroes ultimately achieved their goals.
The whole world celebrated in happiness, and that day was marked as the "Heroes' Victory", and it became a celebrated holiday all around the world.

2 years have gone by, and the duo reunited after separating, wanting to spend time together ever since they slayed the demon king.
"Lumi", Samiko spoke gently. It was late at night, after partying all day.
"Hm... What is it, Sami... I want to sleep." Lumi murmured tiredly as she rubbed her eyes. She drank too much with Josh, and was clearly regretting it.
"I want to ask if you want to be the godmother of my child" She gently rubs her belly, her expression and tone are too soft and motherly.
"Eh?" She froze and slowly stared at her in shock, in her time of travelling the world to slay the demon lord. She never once saw her best friend, whom she saw as her sister, acting this motherly.
"You... You aren't joking... Right?" Lumi's voice quivers in excitement and shock. Her scaly, cold hand wanted to reach for Samiko's belly, wanting to feel the new life.
"No... And it's a girl too... So... do you want to be her god-mothe-" "Yes! A thousand yes!"
Lumi started sobbing as she hugged her tightly. She wished for a big family, and was very happy being wed to Josh... And now, she is even happier and ecstatic that their family is going to be expanded. She swore that she's not going to let her god-daughter pick up Masato's bad habits.
"I'm going to kill Masato if he ever makes you cry..."
"Fufufufu", Samiko giggle as she strokes Lumi's head.
"Masato will ask Josh if he will become her godfather too... Although I think he forgot about it... Oh dear... What should I do with him, fufufufu." She smiled warmly and shook her head, but it's that kind of trait that made her fall in love with him.

'Finally... the vessel was created... no soul was formed too. They were fated to have a miscarriage... but...' The Goddess of Fate glanced at the sleeping formless ball beside her before cupping it in front of her.
"Thanks to him, they won't have that fate... Fufufu... Have a nice life..."
She gently blew air onto the formless ball, making it fly down to the mortal world and into the soulless fetus.

6 months went by, and Lumi is in feral mode outside the room, intending to block anybody who wants to disturb the birth of her god-daughter.
Josh is there with her, clearly going to restrict her if she ever goes out of hand.
Samiko is screaming and grunting as she pushes her child out, inflicting intense grip strength that can clearly crumble a dragon scale, onto Masato's hand as he holds her hand to support her.
This continues for another hour until finally...
"It's a girl!" The Obstetrician shouted out as it carries a baby fox, it has thin, long ears, and white fur is seen, although wet and bloody due to childbirth.

'Urgh... Where am I...' The newly born girl thought as it opens her eyes, everythingwass blur,ry and the light hurt. She subconsciously cries.
"Le-Let me see my little girl" The child can hear a weak, gentle yet yearning voice.
She feels herself being cleaned and wrapped in a smooth, warm cloth, before being moved and settled in her mother's arms.
"My little daughter..." Samiko whisper as she caresses the somewhat dry fur. The girl opened her eyes again, the light didn't hurt that much, and she stared at the woman, who was very blurry and in black and white for her.
'Oh... Right... She said, "I'll be reincarnated... but..." Her nose twitched as new scents started being recognised by her brain, overwhelming her.
"Why right after being born?!' She cries once again.

1 week went by, and it took her a while to get used to being a baby, since it kept making her sleep more and more often. And whenever she isn't sleeping, her parents would be playing with her, not giving her any time for herself.
And finally, she woke up in the middle of the night.
