Samiko hums gently as she caresses and strokes the small, petite fluff on her lap. Its big and fluffy ears twitch as it howls softly, easily swooning any maids, especially the mother.
"Aww... How can you be so cute... Fufufu!" She retrieved a brush out of her dimensional magic and started brushing the cub's fluffy tail, which is bigger than 60% of the cub's body.
"It was a shock, you know," she chuckled, "Masato didn't tell me that when kitsune are born, they won't be in their human forms... Fufu."
She reminisces, especially when Lumi died from cuteness overload, about when they could finally visit their daughter.
The fluff yawned adorably, easily swooning her heart once again.
"You're so unfair..." Samiko pressed her face into the belly fluff and started blowing into it, easily tickling the cub.
"Yahahahahaha!" The cub is trembling and letting out a cute, high-pitched laugh.
"Gosh... You're going to be a handful when you grow up..." The mother smiled widely and warmly
She poked the cub's nose playfully. "Your naming ritual is tomorrow, you know that, right?"
The cub naturally tilted its head, and the large, fluffy ears tilted as well, increasing the overall cuteness of the cub.

She sighed again.
"You really are unfair..."

It's currently that time of day when the cub is left alone in the recreational room. Well, not really, since her shadow bodyguards are there.
'What milestone can I reach?' she thought to herself as she ran around the room, usually running out of stamina after 20 minutes.
'I still don't understand the milestones.' She opens up the system.

'If I were born as a human... I could guess one milestone being crawling, walking, talking... but an animal cub can do that easily, albeit the speaking part. My vocal cords aren't well-developed enough to pronounce and say syllables of the language my parents speak...'
She is now panting, her tongue sticking out as she lies on her belly.
'Maybe one of the milestones is receiving a name... or speaking my first word... I'll find out tomorrow if it's the first one.'
"Kuunhhh..." she started, trying to speak, but it ended sounding like a fox's howl.
'Damnit,' she exhales deeply, her fluffy big ears flattening themselves on her head in dejection.
Then she feels her body being picked up by somebody.
"Kyaaaaah! Little kun! Why are you sooo cuuuuteee!" The cub is lifted and swung around, making cute whimpers for help.
'Nooooo! Let me gooooo-!' the cub complained in her mind.

At the moment, the sliding door opens.
"Ara... Lumi~ What are you doing with my daughter?" Lumi froze at that moment; the cub's eyes were spiralling around, dizzy as the cub made another of her adorable whines.
"Well... I-I..." She started sweating because the same Samiko is now 'gently' smiling at her.
"I-I wanted to see my adorable goddaughter..." She soon placed the cub down, who was now swaying all over the place. The fluffy tail helps her balance, so she doesn't tumble down easily.
Lumi is now sitting in seiza posture, her hands folded on her thighs as she looks down, afraid.
"She's not even 1-year-old," she sighed in disapproval before picking up the cub again, as the cub made another pleading whine to be let go. But it was not effective against her mother.
"Kuuu..." The cub surrenders as she is now carried in her mother's arms. Samiko starts to caress her fur.
"Come on, my adorable daughter, we're having Draconic Duck for dinner. And you will be sleeping with me tonight,"
"B-But... Why can't she sleep with m-" Lumi's lips immediately turned into an x as Samiko's gentle smile became even more... 'gentle'.
"You can sleep with her after the naming ritual. But right now, mommy needs cuddles~ Fufufufu," she walks away from the shivering, scared Lumi, moving toward the dining room.
'Poor Lulu...' the cub naturally pitied her godmother.

The cub's favourite time of the day is when they have dinner. Unlike normal babies, who need to eat food mush because they don’t have teeth, she was born with teeth as a result of her race being blessed. Thus allowing her to eat delicious food.
'Meat!!' The cub started to drool as she waited patiently on Samiko's lap. Her fluffy, oversized tail is wagging, making her father and mother chuckle.
"I worry if little Kun's going to be a picky eater..." Samiko sighed at this.
"Khahahaha! Don't worry, she's like me! We love meat!" Masato laughed heartily before shredding up the Draconic duck on the plate and giving it to Samiko, so she could make it even more or less tough with her mana. Allowing the cub to easily eat it up.
"nwomm nmnh nwm nom... nowmmm..." The sounds that the cub eagerly eats the meat easily make her parents love her even more. No matter how much they eat together.

This is one of the reasons why the cub loved dinner. Because the meats and dishes are obtained from high-ranking beasts, and high-ranking beasts naturally have mana absorbed into their flesh and muscle.
