After checking my status, I must have gone pale. Didn’t this mean I wasn’t even human anymore?
Now that I knew this was another world, I figured I should figure out my abilities instead of rushing in blind. If I didn’t, I might not be able to move when it really counted.
First things first, I had to deal with those goblin drop items.
When I tapped [Subspace Storage] on my status window, a description flowed into my head. To store something, I just had to hold my hand over the object and think “store,” and it would be sent into subspace. To take something out, I needed to visualize it and think “release,” and it would appear automatically. When taking out items, I had to be careful about the object’s size and where I released it, otherwise things could get bad. The storage capacity was infinite, and apparently I could store living things too, but I’d have to test what happened to them in subspace later.
I tried storing the goblin’s rusted short sword. I held my hand over it, focused on the idea of storage, and the sword vanished. When I visualized [Subspace Storage], a list of stored items appeared in my mind. Convenient, but maybe I should bundle smaller items like Magic Stones together. I grouped the Magic Stones in a bag and left the short sword as-is. I also stored the two small bottles of blue liquid I’d gotten from a golden treasure chest in Hachioji Dungeon, along with a longsword and some Slime Magic Stones.
”This is the real problem, though…” I muttered, staring at the mountain of goblin loincloths.
Honestly, they stank. As I stared at them, my [Appraisal] skill activated on its own.
[Goblin Loincloth: Can be washed to become high-quality silk cloth known as Goblin Silk.]
No way. Jackpot.
When I tapped [Life Magic], it displayed [Light], [Fire], [Clean], [Water], [Soil], and [Wind].
I cast [Clean] on a goblin loincloth, and it became a little cleaner. Still had some yellowing though, and it still smelled a bit. This time, I used my knowledge from modern society… I imagined the oil and dirt being lifted out from each individual fiber. I cast [Clean] again, and sure enough, it had become spotless, beautiful silk cloth.
Regular [Clean] didn’t use any MP, but this time my MP dropped by one point. When I bundled the loincloths together and cast [Clean] on them with a strong mental image, my MP dropped by twenty points… How dirty were those things?!
When I cast [Clean] on myself, all the goblin blood and dirt vanished without spending any MP.
When I thought about it, maybe I was the first Earth human to use magic! Oh wait, don’t some people become wizards when they turn thirty?
The most important question was whether I could return to Earth. Since I had the [Other World Teleportation] skill, I figured I could, but…
[Other World Teleportation]: Teleport to a previously visited location between other worlds.
”Ohhh, thank goodness. I can go home.” I breathed a sigh of relief. “But I’d better choose my landing spot carefully. Teleporting right in front of a monster would be no joke.”
Tomorrow was the weekend, so the academy was closed. I decided to explore this Luna World a little longer.
