The Ruyi Jingu Bang was the Supreme Treasure Qin Mu obtained when he opened the Gift Pack!
And the Gift Pack came from a game in his previous life.
It was a hodgepodge card-based mobile game that blended together countless myths, legends, and even parts of novels.
The character players played the role of was an ordinary person who had accidentally stepped onto the path of Cultivation.
In myths, legends, and some novels, an Innate Supreme Treasure was one born before heaven and earth.
A Supreme Treasure that was not refined through later processes, but instead naturally nurtured by heaven and earth, or one that contained Primordial Violet Qi!
They were few in number, yet each one possessed power that could shake the heavens!
But in that game, many Magic Treasures had been redefined and lumped together into the category of Innate Supreme Treasures just to pad out the numbers.
It seemed that, in order to level the playing field, the power of every Supreme Treasure in the game had been weakened, their starting Level all reset to zero, with no upper limit set on the Level of Innate Supreme Treasures.
In other words, as long as you had the stamina to grind, you could keep grinding forever.
What players needed to do was gather resources from all over to upgrade the treasures in their hands, until one day those treasures bloomed with the true power of an Innate Supreme Treasure, even surpassing the level shown in the original myths.
Qin Mu longed to grow powerful in the game, but couldn't bring himself to spend real money.
So from a platform crawling with pop-up ads, he downloaded a private server that offered a VIP99 Gift Pack just for logging in.
He never expected that, while logging into the private server, his phone would grow sluggish and overheat from receiving so many gift packs, and then explode.
In a single moment of daze, he arrived in this world carrying a game warehouse full of VIP Gift Packs.
And what those VIP Gift Packs contained were none other than the Innate Supreme Treasures from the game!
Now, looking at the towering Innate Supreme Treasure rising into the sky in the distance, Qin Mu summoned in his mind the Panel that held its detailed information.
【Name: Ruyi Jingu Bang】
【Rank: Innate Supreme Treasure】
【Level: LV0】
【Experience: 1/100】
【Trait: Ruyi （Seal）】
【Remarks: Devouring any Metal will provide Experience to the Ruyi Jingu Bang. When it levels up, it will bring you some feedback.】
【Introduction: The Ruyi Jingu Bang is also known as the "Lingyang Rod," the "Heavenly River Bottom-Fixing Divine Iron," and the "Heavenly River Bottom-Fixing Divine Treasure."
It was originally a Measuring Rod used to gauge the depth of the sea, but through a fortunate coincidence, it fused with Primordial Violet Qi and was Promoted to Innate Supreme Treasure, its power becoming unpredictable and mysterious!
Legend says that when its power blooms, it can measure the Cosmic Sea of Stars and stabilize the Torrent of Spacetime!】
This was not the first time Qin Mu had looked at this information Panel.
He had already seen it last night, when he took the Ruyi Jingu Bang out of the game warehouse called the "Qiankun Realm."
When he first saw that the Ruyi Jingu Bang was actually ranked among the Innate Supreme Treasures, he had doubted its power.
After all, in the hands of its previous owner, the power this rod displayed was, frankly, far inferior compared to the Innate Supreme Treasures found in myths and novels.
But after he finished reading the introduction above, he found himself agreeing with it.
By the logic that the Milky Way is also a river, the Sea of Stars naturally belonged to the category of seas as well!
Power that could measure the Cosmic Sea of Stars and stabilize the Torrent of Spacetime could certainly be considered worthy of an Innate Supreme Treasure!
But soon, Qin Mu realized that a Ruyi Jingu Bang stuck at Level 0 had no real power to speak of at all—it didn't even come close to the power described in the original myth, where a single graze could kill and the lightest touch could wound.
Because its actual size was that of an Embroidery Needle, and its power was no different from an ordinary embroidery needle.
Striking someone with it hurt less than being pricked by it.
As for the awe-inspiring Screen he'd witnessed earlier—the churning seawater, the Sea Surging Golden Lotus, the Nine-Colored Divine Light connecting heaven and earth—all of that was simply the great power unleashed when an Innate Supreme Treasure was born.
Every Innate Supreme Treasure displayed the same spectacle when it was born.
An embroidery-needle-sized Ruyi Jingu Bang could only rely on the great power of its birth to project a towering image reaching the heavens and earth.
And obviously, being born could only happen once.
Which meant that for a long time to come, the Ruyi Jingu Bang would remain nothing more than a needle.
Qin Mu had indeed thought about increasing the power of the Ruyi Jingu Bang.
But after he had it Devour every single iron object in his home, the result... its Experience only went up by one point.
And according to the memory Qin Mu had inherited, his household right now was far from wealthy.
After the Original body's parents had tragically died, they left behind a modest-sized residence and a bookstore facing the street.
But both the residence and that street-facing bookstore were rented, not owned.
The residence required five strings of coin in rent each month, while the bookstore was even pricier.
After all, it was a prime storefront on a busy street, requiring twenty strings of coin in rent every month.
And there was no upper limit to how much the Ruyi Jingu Bang could be increased.
Even if he spent his entire life on it, Qin Mu could never raise this rod's power to that of a true Innate Supreme Treasure.
Not to mention, inside the game warehouse called the "Qiankun Realm," there were still ninety-eight more Innate Supreme Treasures waiting to be upgraded.
Qin Mu's mind was linked to the Ruyi Jingu Bang, so whatever information anyone else could sense after obtaining it was entirely up to him to decide.
And the same held true for feedback.
So after much deliberation, he simply wrote up a piece of information, then tossed the Ruyi Jingu Bang into the East Sea outside Guanhai City, quietly waiting for the "Ascension Ceremony" to be held by an Immortal Sect.
The Misty Sect, being a Great Sect of Cultivation, surely had abundant resources within it.
If they got their hands on such a magnificent treasure, they would surely be unable to resist increasing its power.
Thinking of this, deep anticipation showed in Qin Mu's eyes.
"Now that the Ruyi Jingu Bang has shown off such an awe-inspiring Screen, as long as they go and increase this Supreme Treasure's Level, I'll receive feedback from the Ruyi Jingu Bang."
"I wonder what kind of feedback it'll be..."
At that very moment, above Guanhai City;
After Zhang Qianren realized the dazzling Golden Light wasn't affecting him at all, he cautiously drew closer to the Ruyi Jingu Bang that stood reaching the heavens and earth.
After circling the golden rod several times with an uneasy heart, a curiosity he couldn't suppress suddenly welled up inside him. Unable to hold back, he reached out a trembling hand and touched the Ruyi Jingu Bang.
The instant his palm made contact with the topmost Golden Hoop of the Ruyi Jingu Bang, the dark clouds piled up overhead, the awe-inspiring golden lotuses blooming across the sea surface, and even the Nine-Colored Glorious Light connecting heaven and earth all vanished in an instant.
Even the endlessly churning sea surface calmed down in that same moment.
And the towering Ruyi Jingu Bang before his eyes dissolved into nothingness like a bursting bubble.
Before Zhang Qianren could even process what had happened, he immediately felt as though a cold, icy needle had appeared in his palm.
At the very same moment, a piece of information written by Qin Mu instantly surfaced in his mind.
【In the Time of Primordial Chaos and Ignorance, before the creation of heaven and earth, ninety-nine treasures of unpredictable power once evolved within the Vast Cosmic Star Sea. Obtaining even just one would grant eternal youth and immortality, undying forevermore;
Because they were born before heaven and earth, they were named "Innate Supreme Treasures"!
But every Innate Supreme Treasure possesses Spirituality, and only those whose Fortune reaches the heavens may obtain one.
The Ruyi Jingu Bang is one such treasure, its size shifting entirely according to its wielder's will. At its largest, it knows no bounds; at its smallest, it is as tiny as a speck of dust;
When its power blooms, it can not only measure the Cosmic Sea of Stars, but also stabilize the Torrent of Spacetime.
Unable to withstand the power of World Creation, it lost its own Spirituality and turned into an iron needle.
But Devouring any Metal can replenish its Spirituality.
Every point of Spirituality it recovers will bring feedback to its Treasure Holder!】
As this piece of information faded away, Zhang Qianren Subconsciously clenched his palm tight, his Expression shifting unpredictably.
A newcomer with a new book, asking for all your support!
