A majestic woman stood revealed, her orange hair tied back into twin ponytails that framed a pair of striking sea blue eyes. She wore a round shouldered, sleeveless brown Amazon cuirass dress that stopped with short pattered war skirt high along her upper thighs, its hem pleated, and she carried herself with the imposing presence of a true warrior.
A short, ornately decorated pelvic curtain hung between her powerful legs, swaying faintly with each subtle shift of her stance.
Her outfit was richly decorated with intricate Scythian patterns, gleaming bronze ornaments, engraved trims, and carefully worked leather accents, all framed by a wide V shaped neckline bordered in protective bronze edging, giving a nice view of her cleavage. Beneath her pleated battle skirt, dark undershorts were faintly visible, adding to the practical, battle ready nature of the ensemble.
From her feet up to mid thigh, fitted dark leather hold-up stockings clung to her strong, muscular legs, each one secured neatly with ornate bronze bands and finished off with sturdy, strapped block heeled warrior sandals. She stood perfectly still, motionless as a proud statue carved by some ancient master sculptor for the ages.
Although what Williams and Mary could see with their own eyes appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary humanoid warrior standing before them, that first impression could not have been further from the truth.
She radiated an overwhelming, almost divine aura from her very presence, the kind that belonged to a goddess rather than a mere summon, one that seemed to hold the entire room in quiet, tense opposition despite how unassuming her outward appearance still seemed at first glance.
Hermione paused briefly from stroking her cat the moment Mark’s summon appeared, her ruby red eyes narrowing slightly in quiet observation. But a moment later, she simply resumed petting the cat softly, as though nothing had happened at all.
Everyone else gathered near the windows leaned forward eagerly, straining for a better view of the unfolding scene through the glass roof of the Great Hall, their eyes narrowing with sharp curiosity.
Those seated along the mezzanine ringing the hall’s interior wore a wide range of expressions on their faces, some curious, others visibly unsettled.
"His summon reads as a 3.4, peak level Basic tier, with the potential to reach a 6.0 High tier!" Mary announced, then shot Williams a quick, furtive glance, to which he responded with a slight, thoughtful nod.
Neither of them could say for certain whether what the screen had just displayed was some kind of glitch or the honest truth, but they both silently agreed it warranted closer, more careful investigation. This also meant, whether they liked it or not, that Mark would now need to remain under their close surveillance and watchful care in order to properly understand this strange phenomenon.
Mark lingered a moment longer before turning his attention back toward his summon, who stood as an imposing, commanding figure despite her otherwise unremarkable appearance.
It was then he noticed a faint green glow beginning to spread across her beautiful eyes, slowly bleeding outward like ink across the rest of her graceful body. She moved with a flicker of visible uncertainty in her posture, as though she too were genuinely caught off guard by whatever was happening to her.
The green glimmer grew steadily brighter as her size began to expand across every proportion of her body at once. Mark blinked in surprise, instinctively taking several steps backward to put distance between himself and her rapidly growing frame.
The pentagon shaped podium groaned audibly beneath her increasing weight, thin lines of cracks spreading rapidly across its surface in a spiderwebbed pattern. It did not stop there, either, as she continued to blossom outward in frame, height, and overall size with no sign of slowing.
Williams’s eyes widened to their absolute limit, while Mary’s face had already drained completely of color, both of them instinctively backing away from the unfolding scene in a desperate attempt to put themselves out of harm’s way.
A growing shadow loomed over the crowd like the foreboding darkness of an approaching storm front.
The freshmen scattered throughout the hall wore expressions of pure, wide eyed terror, the kind reserved for someone who had just laid eyes on something truly horrifying, their bodies trembling uncontrollably as their gazes lifted upward before they broke and scattered wildly from the gathered crowd.
If something could provoke this kind of reaction even from the headmaster and his own trusted assistant, then whatever was unfolding here was clearly something far bigger than anyone had anticipated.
The technician operating the awakening machine barely managed to scramble out of his seat in time, moments before the entire platform crashed down beneath him, collapsing with a deep, booming crash that sent dust and debris billowing up into the air.
The summon’s clothing began stretching and expanding with a sharp, tearing sound as her body burst outward with sheer, unrelenting size. Her height had already climbed high enough to nearly match the towering interior ceiling of the Great Hall as she continued to rise.
Seemingly unaccustomed to her own scale within such a confined space, she stumbled backward and slammed into a large section of wall, which promptly collapsed under the impact. Every step she took sent deep fissures splitting across the marble hard floor beneath her feet.
Panic swept through the hall as countless people began sprinting for their lives, as though the entire building had suddenly gone up in wild, uncontrolled flame.
A screaming, tightly packed cluster of people found themselves jammed together at the doorway, struggling desperately to escape all at once, while several others simply chose to smash straight through the windows without a second thought.
Yet some remained frozen entirely, gripped by such overwhelming fear that their bodies refused to move at all, their minds locked in place by sheer, paralyzing trauma. And, oddly enough, Mark found himself among that very group, his entire body feeling like a solid, unmoving block of stone.
A thunderous banging noise erupted through the hall as she finally reached her full, gigantic size, her head and shoulders rising up past the shattered ceiling and roof above, which rained down in a chaotic shower of broken glass and splintered wooden beams.
Massive sections of the hall collapsed entirely, swallowing anyone unfortunate enough not to move quickly, while dust and debris billowed upward through the air like drifting confetti caught in the wind.
The Great Hall, a structure that had stood as a majestic centerpiece of the school for countless years, had just been reduced in a matter of moments to little more than a beautiful, tragic ruin of rubble.
Williams’s eyes trembled with absolute horror for what felt like an eternity as he stared up at the giantess, her broad, powerful hips towering above the wreckage of her own making, dwarfing even some of the surrounding two storey school buildings nearby. He could not begin to guess her exact height, only that it was, quite simply, terrifying beyond words.
A vague, half buried memory flickered suddenly through his mind, one from his own childhood during the early days of the Mana Age, when he had watched helplessly as his family’s entire home was devastated by monstrous creatures far larger than anything he could comprehend at the time. They had been vicious, utterly without mercy, sparing none of the countless lives that crossed their path that day.
His heart pounded violently in his chest like a hammer striking again and again as he staggered under the weight of the memory, only managing to stay upright thanks to Mary, his loyal assistant, whose own heart he could feel racing wildly against his back from the sheer press of their bodies together.
The green hue slowly faded from around her body as the giantess’s eyes swept across the surrounding wreckage, her presence alone still enough to terrify most of those still watching, before her gaze finally drifted downward toward a heap of collapsed rubble nearby. She bent down slightly, carefully rummaging through the scattered pile of splintered wood and broken stone brick, until at last she found exactly what she had been searching for. Mark.
He had likely sustained a fair number of bruises and cuts from the chaos around him, though thankfully nothing severe enough to be life threatening, since he had not been among those who suffered direct harm from the building’s sudden collapse.
Still, he was undeniably weak in that moment, drained of nearly all his strength. The eyes of his towering summon softened noticeably as she reached down and scooped him up with practiced, gentle ease, cradling him carefully within her cupped palms.
But just as she began to rise back to her full height, a set of glowing manacles, humming faintly with magical energy, shot forward and struck her body. They wrapped tightly around the thick muscle of her thighs and ankles, while more closed around her wrists, straining against her with an opposing, gravity defying force, as though determined to bind her like some captured slave.
Mark managed to slip free from her hands in the brief moment of distraction that followed, while she fought fiercely to break loose from the pulling force of the shackles working steadily to restrain her every movement.
At that same moment, three junior students appeared seemingly out of nowhere to reinforce the growing crisis, each accompanied by a seven foot tall hound with a powerfully muscular build hidden beneath thick, dark fur. Their claws, sharp as daggers, tore deep gouges into the floor as they strained with raw, brute force, working together to help drag their massive target down through the magically conjured chains binding her.
What had been meant as a joyful, celebratory ceremony had, in the span of only a few devastating minutes, collapsed entirely into chaos and crisis.
