“Ms. Moxiya, I…” Jack was about to explain when Moxiya stepped on his throat.

“If there’s a next time, I’ll kill you.” Moxiya said, swaying her hips as she left.

Using his Ghost Power to dig himself out of the wall, Jack returned to the Restaurant. By then, the atmosphere in the dining area had grown heavy.

He went to the Restaurant and found the Restaurant Steward.

The Restaurant Steward was a man wearing a fluffy Rabbit Mask, with a huge mouth surrounded entirely by red blood, looking quite terrifying.

“Help me out,” Jack said grimly to him.

Seeing Jack, the Rabbit was quite surprised: “The arrogant Jack actually needs my help? Go ahead and say it.”

“I’m assigning someone to your department,” Jack said, his eyes fierce. “That kid is a Squad Steward now. Help me take him out.”

“The kid who just hit Ms. Moxiya in the Restaurant?” the Rabbit asked. “I wouldn’t dare. He’s Moxiya’s man.”

“Have people killed by Moxiya been few?”

“I’m about to be promoted to Enforcer. You won’t be shortchanged when that happens,” Jack said. “I’ve already arranged for a few friends to cause trouble for him in the Restaurant. As long as you don’t protect him, he’ll die today.”

Jack gritted his teeth in anger: “Even Moxiya won’t be able to keep him safe, I guarantee it!”

The Rabbit shook his head helplessly: “Fine, but if anything goes wrong, I’m pointing the finger at you.”

……

On the other side, Qin Che, who was in the Restaurant, could no longer continue his meal. He left with Lin Di and Hu Ruirui amidst the chaos.

Not long after leaving, a man wearing a Rabbit Mask found him.

“Number 0326, you are now transferred to the Restaurant,” the Rabbit told Qin Che. “The Restaurant has four teams in total; you will be the captain of one of them.”

“Huh? Wasn’t I still in the Lobby?”

“Stop the nonsense. Take your things and come with me. It’s a busy time right now.” The Rabbit glared at Qin Che.

Qin Che looked bitter.

If Jack hadn't set him up, things would have been quite good—he could slack off whenever he wanted. Now that he was transferred to the Restaurant, who knew what would happen? The Restaurant was much more dangerous than the Lobby. If a dish didn't suit a Guest’s taste, they might be killed on the spot in the Restaurant.

“What happened to the previous team leader?” Qin Che asked.

“Dead.”

“Dead?” Qin Che’s neck immediately shrank. “How did he die?”

The Rabbit glanced back at Qin Che but ignored him.

Qin Che’s face turned pale, and a sense of foreboding rose within him.

Arriving at the Restaurant’s back area, the Rabbit implanted the memory of the Restaurant menu into Qin Che’s brain.

Instantly, Qin Che understood all the basic information about the Restaurant.

“Number 0288, you all follow 0326 from now on; he is your captain. Your team’s goal tonight is to complete 12 Super Surprise Reviews. If you fail, you can wait to die. Of course, the rewards for completing the quota aren't low either.” After speaking, the Rabbit left without looking back.

Qin Che looked at the few familiar faces, his expression troubled.

However, the other members of the team looked relaxed.

With Qin Che present, they immediately felt much more at ease.

Although they didn't know what exactly had happened to him, anyone who could be promoted to Squad Steward in one day was definitely a powerhouse in the game. As long as they stuck close to Qin Che, they had a chance to leave the Thriller World alive.

Just then, a girl rushed over. Qin Che recognized her as the familiar He Lulu.

“Qin Che, something happened!”

When the Rabbit arrived earlier, she had been serving Guests in the Restaurant, but she had also received the news that Qin Che had become their team leader.

“What is it?” Qin Che asked.

“A Guest keeps demanding a refund for a dish. We’ve already replaced it several times, but he’s still not satisfied,” He Lulu said, growing more anxious, with a few tears welling up in her eyes.

Qin Che patted her shoulder to Comfort her: “It’s fine, I’ll go take a look.”

The Guest demanding the refund was an Old Woman, who had come to the Restaurant to dine with her grandson.

When Qin Che arrived, she was trying to Comfort her crying grandson. Seeing Qin Che approach, she immediately flipped the bowl of soup onto the table.

“Is this the kind of food you serve at the Afterlife Hotel Restaurant? I’ve had it replaced several times! If you don’t give me an explanation, even if you are the Steward, you’ll die here today,” the Old Woman said fiercely. The little boy beside her was also a ghost. When Qin Che looked at him, the boy actually made a face at him.

Brat.

The dishes in the Restaurant rarely had any issues; they were all delicacies prepared strictly according to the cooking procedures.

“Could you tell me what is wrong with this soup?” Qin Che Asked.

The Brat just cried loudly and refused to speak at all.

Seeing her grandson crying again, the Old Woman said sinisterly: “If I knew what was wrong, what would I need you for? I’ll give you one last chance. If the soup still doesn't satisfy my grandson, then you will become food for my grandson.”

Qin Che couldn't help but swallow, forcing a smile: “Alright, please wait a moment.”

Saying that, he took the soup away.

Returning to the Restaurant’s back area, Qin Che threw the soup onto the table: “Who made this soup?”

A Ghost Chef poked his head out: “I did. Is there a problem?”

Saying that, he stuck his finger into the soup tureen and tasted it: “No problem.” His expression immediately darkened. “Are you trying to cause trouble, kid?”

Qin Che didn't want to clash with him. “Make it one last time. Add a lot more sugar; it’s for a child.”

“I already added some!” the Ghost Chef retorted. “Fatty made one portion earlier, and the Guest wasn't Satisfied, so I made this one. Since I heard it was for a child, I specifically added two spoonfuls of sugar.”

“Then why was the dish sent back again!”

“Your damn Guest is causing trouble, why are you asking me?” The Ghost Chef showed Qin Che no respect and started cursing loudly. “If you want to make it, you make it. I’m not doing it.”

Qin Che suddenly became annoyed. He walked into the kitchen, casually grabbed a portion of soup, added a full ten spoonfuls of sugar—he nearly emptied half the sugar jar—and then walked out of the kitchen with the plate.

Seeing Qin Che approach with the soup, the ghost child made another face at him, but his grandmother didn't notice this.

The Brat is causing trouble, is he?

Qin Che took out a Brick and placed it on the serving tray along with the soup, then set the tray in front of the Brat.

The Brat didn't even taste it and immediately reached out to knock the soup over, but Qin Che grabbed his hand.

“What do you think you’re doing!” the Old Woman immediately stood up.

“Trying to cause trouble, are you?” Qin Che slammed the Brick onto the table. “Causing trouble in the Afterlife Hotel, you need to think clearly about the consequences!”

The Brat didn't understand and reached out to grab the Brick, seemingly wanting to claim it for himself. But the moment his hand touched the Brick, his pupils instantly contracted, followed by a loud wail.

“What did you do to my grandson!”

The Old Woman was about to attack, but her gaze shifted to the Brick. Instantly, deep apprehension shone in her cloudy eyes, and she immediately turned to stroke the Brat’s head.

“Yang Yang, don't cry, don't cry. We won’t eat here anymore.”

Saying that, they prepared to get up and Leave.

“Did I say you could go?” Qin Che stared at the Old Woman and her grandson. “Drink the soup! And pay for the soup you spilled earlier.”

Guests at another table heard Qin Che’s domineering tone and couldn't help but speak up: “Are the Restaurant Stewards at the Afterlife Hotel always this arrogant?”

“Shh—you arrived late and don't know. That kid is Moxiya’s man!”

“Moxiya’s man? Then he won’t live long, right? Is that the capital for his arrogance?”

“He’s different from ordinary men. Just now, when Moxiya came to the Restaurant to find him, just because he slapped his friend, he actually pinned Moxiya onto a table and hit her.”

“Holy crap? Isn’t Moxiya a Top-tier Fierce Ghost? How could a Human…”

“That’s why I didn’t dare say a word just now. Shh, keep it down, don’t let that man hear us.”

The Old Woman naturally overheard the conversation at the next table and immediately became frightened.

This man dared to hit even Moxiya; what else wouldn't he dare to do?

Furthermore, this Brick was a Ghost Item that even she couldn't see through. She truly had reason to believe that if Yang Yang caused trouble again, they might both die here today.

Instantly, the Old Woman slapped the Brat’s head: “Yang Yang, hurry up and drink the soup.”

“I won’t drink it!” The Brat turned his head away.

*Slap*—

The Old Woman slapped the Brat across the face: “Drink!”

The Brat immediately burst into loud tears, truly scared now. He picked up the soup and took a sip: “Grandma, it’s too sweet, it doesn’t taste good…”

“It’s very sweet?” Qin Che leaned closer to him, saying with a smile.

The Old Woman’s courage completely failed her. Her hand, hidden under the table, fiercely pinched the Brat’s thigh.

The Brat also realized that the man in front of him was not to be trifled with. While crying, he lifted the soup tureen and drank the soup down.

“Does it taste good?” Qin Che Asked.

“Good! Good!” The grandmother and grandson nodded vigorously.

“Satisfied?” Qin Che Asked again.

“Satisfied! Satisfied! Very Satisfied!”
