Qin Che's face darkened as he watched the three Hotel Enforcers' performance.
He was like a lamb to the slaughter, his hands bound, unable to even draw a Brick, let alone Resist.
“Look, look,” the Hunchbacked Ghost said with a laugh. “I told you why you can’t get promoted. How savvy are your hotel's Enforcers?”
The Rabbit looked gloomy but had nothing to say.
“Alright, I won't make things difficult for your hotel. If there’s no butchering service, forget it. I’ll find someone else.” Saying this, the hunchbacked man waved his hand, stuffing the young girl into a sack he brought, and Qin Che, who was tightly bound, was stuffed in along with her.
“Next time, I hope your Employees have a bit more of a Mind's Eye,” the Hunchbacked Ghost said, hoisting the sack onto his shoulder, preparing to Leave.
However, the expected heaviness did not land on his shoulder; instead, it appeared next to the Man in Suit not far away.
The Hunchbacked Ghost’s face immediately darkened, and he said grimly, “Brother, isn't snatching someone else’s food a bit uncharitable?”
“I was just about to say you snatched this Miss’s Prey!” Bai Weiwei didn't even glance at the Hunchbacked Ghost, instead opening the sack and untying the ropes on Qin Che. “Didn’t you see he was eating with this Miss earlier?”
The Hunchbacked Ghost narrowed his eyes, sizing up Bai Weiwei.
“Interesting,” the Hunchbacked Ghost said sinisterly. “Then your Prey offended me. Shouldn't you pay a price?”
As he spoke, the Hunchbacked Ghost walked toward Bai Weiwei.
“Oh? What price do you want me to pay?” Bai Weiwei raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms, not taking the Hunchbacked Ghost seriously at all.
The Hunchbacked Ghost looked at Bai Weiwei’s fair arm, extended his Scarlet and slender Tongue, a trace of greed in his eyes: “Not much, just one of your arms will do.”
“Arm?” Bai Weiwei lifted a finger, and the Hunchbacked Ghost’s arm flew off.
The atmosphere in the Restaurant instantly solidified.
That Hunchbacked Ghost was a Guest of the hotel, yet this woman just lifted a finger and took one of his arms?
The cut on the Hunchbacked Ghost’s arm was incredibly smooth. He clutched his stump, deep apprehension showing in his eyes, and immediately shouted, “Enforcer! Where are the Hotel Enforcers?”
As soon as the words fell, the previous three Hotel Enforcers appeared in the Restaurant. Seeing Bai Weiwei had acted and was still looking arrogant, their faces instantly turned grim. In an instant, vast Ghost Power erupted from their bodies like ocean waves, surging toward Bai Weiwei.
At the same time, the Man in Suit stood in front of Bai Weiwei.
The moment that vast Ghost Power touched the Man in Suit, it instantly disintegrated like fragile glass.
“Guest, the Afterlife Hotel has rules.”
Seeing that force wouldn't work, the Enforcer spoke, “If you act like this, how can our hotel continue to operate?”
“Then just close down,” Bai Weiwei said casually.
“You…” the leading Enforcer gritted his teeth. “Do you really intend to disregard the hotel’s rules like this?”
“Rules? Fine! This man is my property.” Bai Weiwei pointed at Qin Che. “His primary identity is my personal Item, and only secondarily is he your hotel’s Employee. So, please clarify who is actually disregarding the hotel’s rules.”
The Enforcer was momentarily caught between a rock and a hard place upon hearing this.
On one side was a powerful figure from Wu Wang City, and on the other, someone he couldn't afford to offend.
He had originally planned to hand Qin Che over to the Hunchbacked Ghost to do him a favor, as Qin Che was just a worthless insect, but he never expected him to have such deep connections.
“We need to investigate this matter,” the Enforcer said. “Please give us some Time; we will certainly give you a Satisfied reply.”
“No need,” Bai Weiwei said. “It seems that ever since Little Nine went missing, your hotel has been getting worse and worse.”
Little Nine was the nickname of the hotel Boss, named so because he had nine eyes.
The Enforcer was instantly shocked.
The Boss’s disappearance was strictly forbidden to be spread outside. How did this woman know? She even knew the Boss’s nickname!
He wasn't a fool; anyone who knew this information was definitely someone he couldn't afford to offend, even if it meant violating hotel regulations.
The Enforcer took a deep breath and walked up to the Hunchbacked Ghost.
The Hunchbacked Ghost was heard cursing, “Damn it, what nonsense. I won’t pursue this anymore. I’ll give you those two Humans.”
Saying that, he tried to Leave but found he couldn't move an inch.
He turned to look at the leading Enforcer, fear finally showing in his eyes: “What are you trying to do? I’m from Wu Wang City!”
As he spoke, he instinctively reached for the badge pinned to his clothes, only to find the badge was long gone.
“Fake,” the Rabbit suddenly spoke up, currently fiddling with the Hunchbacked Ghost’s badge in his hand. “It’s quite realistic, but a fake is still a fake.”
Hearing the Rabbit’s words, the Enforcer breathed a sigh of relief. Vast Ghost Power instantly locked onto the Hunchbacked Ghost, and countless chaotic blood marks suddenly appeared on his small body.
Immediately after, his body exploded with a *pa* sound, shattering into a pile of flesh.
Instantly, the Restaurant fell into a dead silence.
Who made the move?
The Enforcer? Or that woman in the white dress?
That Hunchbacked Ghost was at least at the level of a Fierce Ghost, yet now, he couldn't even Resist, being Killed in public in the Restaurant in just an instant.
Qin Che was greatly horrified in his heart.
He saw the light emanating from the Enforcer's eyes, like thousands of sharp blades, slicing through the Hunchbacked Ghost’s body.
With such strength, did even Bai Weiwei have to bow her head?
Soon, cleaning staff came to clear the scene.
The leading Enforcer walked up to Bai Weiwei, bowed his head, and asked, “Guest, with this outcome, are you Satisfied?”
Bai Weiwei snorted coldly. “Quite decisive. It hasn't disgraced the name of the Afterlife Hotel.”
The Enforcer appeared somewhat subservient before Bai Weiwei: “Please do not spread news about our Boss.”
Bai Weiwei ignored him and instead said to Qin Che, “Little Brother, you now owe me a life.”
Qin Che knew that he owed this entirely to Bai Weiwei stepping in; otherwise, he would have already been eaten by that Hunchbacked Ghost. He could only steel himself and say, “Yes, thank you for this time.”
“Okay, next Time we meet, I think you should be able to give me an answer, right?” Bai Weiwei said with a smile, then turned and Left the Restaurant.
Seeing the incident resolved, the three Enforcers and the Rabbit whispered something to each other and also Left the Restaurant. With the Big Shots gone, the atmosphere in the Restaurant remained in a state of dead silence.
The Rabbit looked up at the Ceiling and sighed deeply, “It seems today’s performance target won’t be met.”
He looked at Qin Che with a complex gaze: “Just who are you?”
Qin Che felt a bit awkward under the Rabbit’s stare. “Just an ordinary… handsome guy?”
The Rabbit sighed, losing the mood to trouble Qin Che further.
He couldn't be blamed for today’s events; it was just that someone wanted to cause trouble, and coincidentally, someone who couldn't be offended showed up at the Restaurant.
Soon, the Restaurant returned to normal, although the liveliness was much less than before.
“Deal with this Human, and then you can Get off work,” the Rabbit said to Qin Che, pointing at the Stunned young girl.
Qin Che was stunned. “How should I deal with her?”
“Kill her, or take her with you, it’s up to you. Handle it however you were thinking before.” The Rabbit was Tired, waved his hand at Qin Che, and returned to the Restaurant Kitchen.
Qin Che had only wanted to save this pitiful little girl before. Now that she was saved, he didn't know what to do next.
He took off his coat, draped it over the little girl, and squatted in front of her: “Can you still move?”
The little girl remained Stunned, but she stood up.
“Can you walk then?”
The little girl walked two circles around Qin Che.
“Alright, then follow me.”
