Qin Che walked cautiously in the Staff Passage. He might run into Guests in the public areas of the hotel, but certainly not in the Staff Passage!

Normally, no Guest would enter the Staff Passage unless Qin Che was extremely unlucky and ran into a wandering ghost.

Thinking this, Qin Che suddenly became bolder. Jack had given him the entire afternoon off, so nothing bad should happen just wandering around the Staff Passage.Full novel: I Opened A Hotel In The Thriller World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

As a leader, Jack is indeed quite good! It’s just that his brain is a bit slow, and his temper is a bit bad.

Arriving at the 13th Floor, just as he stepped out of the Elevator, a short man holding something was sneakily moving around.

He wasn't wearing the Afterlife Hotel uniform, which meant he was a Guest.

Qin Che’s heart immediately tightened. The 13th Floor was the Staff Dormitory; due to the floor's inauspicious nature, the hotel had given up the idea of using it for Guest Rooms.

And now, a Guest was lingering on the 13th Floor.

What was he doing here?

Normally, at this time, there shouldn't be anyone on the 13th Floor!

He saw Qin Che emerging from the staff Elevator, his eyes suddenly lit up, and he ran toward Qin Che with a strange laugh.

Qin Che froze and turned to run.

“Hey! Hey! Don’t run!” the Short Man shouted. He was probably less than 1.6 meters tall, how could he catch up to Qin Che’s long legs that were nearly 1.8 meters? He had to stop while still holding his item. “Don’t run! I’m not going to eat you! Besides, aren't you the hotel's Waiter? Aren't you afraid I’ll give you a Bad review?”

“Not afraid! It’s my Rest time now!” Qin Che glanced back while running. Seeing the Short Man had stopped, he grinned.

Want me to serve you during my Rest time? No way!

Suddenly, the Short Man appeared right in front of Qin Che. Qin Che couldn't react at all, bumped into him with a bang, and then bounced off.

This guy was as hard as a rock. Qin Che’s chest hurt fiercely from the impact.

Teleportation ability!

Qin Che made a pained face. He had finally managed to sneak back to the Dormitory just to slack off a bit longer, but he was incredibly unlucky. Even returning to the Dormitory meant running into a ghost, one that wanted to kill him. This was worse than standing at the Front Desk; at least the whole morning there hadn't been much Danger.

“Hello!” Qin Che quickly scrambled up from the ground and flashed a signature smile at the Short Man. “Is there anything I can help you with?”

The Short Man looked up at Qin Che and sneered, “Why aren’t you running anymore? Weren’t you resting?”

“Customer is King.” Qin Che smiled. “Even if I were Sleeping, I’d have to get up!”

“Enough, all you Waiters are like this. You can’t get things done, but your attitude is always excellent.” The Short Man pouted. “You have the worst attitude of any Waiter I’ve met, but I’m too lazy to file a Complaint against you. You help me deliver this box to the 17th Floor, and I won’t pursue this matter.”

“The 17th Floor?”

Hearing this, Qin Che showed an expression of extreme Fear.

He currently had no means of self-preservation. After eating and wandering around for a bit, he had already encountered two ghosts, both of whom wanted him dead.

This was real Danger!

Asking him to deliver something to the 17th Floor was no different from sending him to his death, wasn't it?

The Short Man could also see Qin Che’s reluctance. He lived on the 9th Floor and was not qualified to go to areas above the 13th Floor, which is why he tried to find a Waiter to help him deliver the item.

He had approached over a dozen Waiters, and without exception, none of them were willing to go, claiming their rank did not qualify them to go above the 13th Floor. Even threatening them was useless. He was truly desperate, so he came to the floor with the Staff Dormitory, hoping to run into an Employee qualified to go to the higher floors.

“I thought the Employees who could slack off in the Staff Dormitory during Work hours were all amazing,” the Short Man said. He was disappointed, realizing Qin Che’s rank wasn't high either. He had been quite happy when he first saw Qin Che.

“How about you go yourself?” Qin Che asked cautiously.

“I can’t go up,” the Short Man sighed. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come looking for someone to help me deliver it.”

He was getting anxious now, even forgetting to Threaten Qin Che, his mind entirely focused on how to get the item delivered upstairs.

“Isn’t that convenient!” Qin Che said, pulling out the golden Pass Jack had given him. “This Pass allows movement on floors below the 24th Floor. You can use it first, just remember to return it after you deliver the item.”

“Holy crap, how do you have a Pass of this level?” the Short Man asked in surprise. Golden Passes were only held by hotel management, or at least by a Level Ghost or higher.

“Someone asked me to Keep it,” Qin Che said casually, then his expression became extremely solemn. “Hurry up and go, come back quickly. If it’s discovered that I lent you the Pass without authorization, we’ll both die! The kind where you can’t even Resist!”

“Oh, oh! I get it! I get it!” The Short Man’s eyes lit up as he took the Pass from Qin Che’s hand. “Brother, that’s a lifesaver!”

Saying that, the Short Man reached out and thumped his chest. “I’ll be right back, wait for me for a moment!”

Immediately, the Short Man Disappeared from the 13th Floor.

“Favorability from Lin Di +5, +5, +5, +5.”

Instantly, Qin Che felt his body become Transparent, and a great sense of satisfaction burst forth from his entire being.

His Breath became Rapid, and he suddenly felt hot all over.

“Draw! Or wait for that person to come back?”

Qin Che was somewhat Anxious, constantly swallowing his saliva. He couldn't resist, but for a Ten consecutive draws at a time like this, one must Value it highly, at least go Wash Hands first!

“Right, right! Wash hands, wash hands!”

Immediately, Qin Che trotted to the Bathroom, washing his hands back and forth twice before realizing his face was Dark.

“My face absolutely cannot be dark!”

Saying that, Qin Che washed his face several more times, scrubbing his Skin until it turned red before he was Satisfied and walked out of the Bathroom.

At this moment, the Short Man also returned successfully. His face was Relaxed, and even his walking Steps were much lighter.

“Brother, thanks a lot!” While speaking, he pulled out a stack of money from his pocket. “This little bit of money is just a token of appreciation. You really helped me out a lot today!”

“It’s nothing, nothing.” Qin Che took the tip and immediately squeezed it in his hand, then said, “You should leave quickly, it won’t be good if you’re discovered.”

“Oh, right, right!” Lin Di nodded quickly. “Then I’ll be going now. I live in Room 0912. Let’s grab a drink sometime!”

With that, Lin Di Disappeared from the 13th Floor.

“Hoo—”

Qin Che took a deep Breath, suppressing the excitement in his heart. He went to the Bathroom, casually found a stall, sat on the Toilet, looked at the Black Rose in his palm, and with a thought, entered the lottery interface.

The purple-black Vortex in the interface was slowly Rotating.

He rubbed his hands a few times, selected the Ten consecutive draws, used the 0.1 discount coupon, and then held his Breath.
