’She is okay.’ Hadeon took a deep breath, a sense of relief washing over him.

Hadeon looked at the calf and gently touched its head and said: "You rest now. Her wounds are healing slowly."

The calf didn’t understand, as it was still looking at the pale face of its master.Full novel: I Regressed With A Broken System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The giant woman had lost a lot of blood as her hair and hide were now all drenched in blood.

It was only a miracle that she was still alive after taking a hit to the head.

Hadeon had guessed the sharp tail of the lizard might have caused the injury.

"You go and sleep. You need to rest, or you might harm yourself!" Hadeon said as he stared at the damaged frill on the calf’s head.

He stood up and tried to push the calf down to the ground.

The calf refused to sit down as it opened its mouth and licked Hadeon’s hands with its tongue.

Hadeon didn’t like it as he quickly withdrew his hands, now covered in red viscous liquid. Maybe it was the blood and saliva of the beast, now mixed in its snout.

He quickly shook his hands and rubbed them with ash.

Seeing the man stepping back, the beast grunted and gently placed its forehead on the woman’s face.

"Hey, don’t do that. Your master’s wound is still fresh!" Hadeon shouted, seeing the careless behaviour of the calf. He tried to pull the Triceratops’ head away by grabbing its horn.

Before Hadeon could even pull it back, its body started to crack as it turned into a streak of golden light, disappearing into the forehead of the unconscious woman.

The thorns and ashes that were once stuck on the beast’s hide had fallen onto the ground.

For a second, a look of pain and discomfort appeared on the face of the fainted lady before returning to its usual plain expression.

Silence.

It happened so fast that Hadeon hadn’t even gotten a chance to react properly, just a dumbfounded expression on his face. Staring at the space where the beast was standing a few seconds ago.

It was very similar to the first time he had seen the lizard dropping its tail, escaping into the chasm.

A face full of surprise and disbelief.

He took a deep breath and stared at the giant woman.

’If I am right, it is something related to the talent of the woman.’ Hadeon thought as he looked at the unconscious woman, sighing loudly.

’Maybe a soul space?!’

’Monster Tamer, an unknown sorcery that I don’t know about and a soul space.’

’Who is she? Why i never heard of someone like her before?’

But even after looking at her appearance, that could only be said— extraordinary!

She was beautiful even by human standards. And her taming ability and the blue aura hovering over her head like a butterfly; she didn’t remind him of anyone he had ever met or heard of.

’Maybe she died today in a previous life!’

Hadeon could only think of one possibility: that she was destined to die here.

If he hadn’t saved her today, she would have been no more than a one-time meal of that damned Lizard!

With such terrifying ranges of abilities, if she were alive in the past, he might have heard of her at least.

Hadeon looked at the woman as he silently sat near her head, studying the exotic blue energy; it wasn’t the conventional spirit energy that everyone used in hell.

But something entirely alien!

He didn’t know what kind of sorcery that was, but he was sure that it wasn’t the spirit energy.

Suddenly the flames in the chasm started to roar as if they had become mad, trying to burn the whole world.

And then came the soul-wrecking cries of hundreds of beasts that resembled the sound that the lizard had produced after being thrown into the thorns.

A very powerful roar filled with rage and killing intent, that was strong enough to freeze even a veteran hunter.

Shit!

Hadeon cursed as his eyes wandered around the area; the forest had grown silent, and the wind had stopped as if fearing to even exist.

The temperature rose to high levels as his throat dried, his eyes burned— turning his white sclera into blood red.

The world had become alive in that very instant.

Hadeon didn’t know why, but he felt hundreds of eyes watching over him from the scarlet flames of the crack.

Hadeon quickly squinted his eyes, trying to fill them with moisture.

His body felt uncomfortable as sweat formed all over his body.

He wanted to throw the hides that were covering his body, now working as a cooker, making his sweat turn into steam, boiling his skin like tofu. But he persisted; he resisted.

He knew the second he threw his hide away, his skin would burn and he would die a pitiful death.

The dreadful cries of savages and flame filling the world made Hadeon’s heart rage against his chest.

The next moment, a sweet ring echoed in his mind.

<You have slain a Lvl.15 Fiend: Chasm Lizard.

<You have gained an Extraordinary grade Spirit Relic!>

< Consume the soul core for leveling up.>

"W-What? How? The lizard died?"

Hadeon was staring at the Status window that was still floating around him.

"And a Spirit Relic, just like that?" Hadeon questioned himself; How could he be this lucky?

The lizard died and even gave him a Relic!

"This has to be a dream, right?"

Silence.

Of course, there was no one to answer his question.

Before he could enjoy the unexpected bounty he had once given up on, the ground below him began to shake as tiny cracks started to appear. Hot Smoke and sparks emerged like a stream.

He quickly rolled to the side.

’Fuck what’s going on?!’

He heard a crackling sound as he turned his head towards the chasm and saw it expanding; the crack was widening, emitting crimson flames and dark fumes like a volcano.

The ground started to tilt as it began to collapse into each other like two walls coming towards each other.

Countless cacti and bushes between the lands were now crushed and falling into the fiery abyss.

Seeing the chasm expanding toward him, Hadeon quickly sat and picked the unconscious woman up in his arms, even though the lady was huge and heavy.

He was strong enough to carry a small log, let alone a beautiful girl.

The blood of the woman was now all over his shoulder; the smell of iron hit his nose.

But Hadeon ran at full speed without looking back as he heard the loud noises of land behind him collapsing one after another. New cracks formed; the huge chunk of the forest now fell into the bottomless abyss of flame, never to witness the grey sunless sky.
