Hadeon quickly ran towards the lizard as he lowered his hands, preparing to release the Enhanced Flame Ball.
"Hey, move aside!" Hadeon shouted at the triceratops.
The calf was standing on the lizard’s tail, pinning it down on the ground with no intentions of letting the lizard go. His other foot was high in the sky, ready to crush the backbone of the creature who had harmed its master.
"Fuck! He is going for the kill." Hadeon cursed loudly.
The very next instant, the lizard did something that made both Hadeon and the Triceratops calf freeze.
The vile lizard detached its tail and crawled straight into the cracks, ignoring the raging crimson flames emitting from it.
"W-What the—
—F-u-c-k!"
Hadeon hadn’t thought of this scenario, not in his whole life, well, two lives to be exact.
Never!

Hadeon was staring deep into the deep chasm as the flame had grown weaker, but he knew it would rage again in a few seconds.
He sighed as he looked at his hands, the ball of flames still on his hand spinning as fast as ever.
"What a waste!" Hadeon sighed and threw the ball into the abyss as he returned to the side of the Triceratops.
The flames once again started to roar in the chasm.
Even from a distance, he could feel those flames weren’t ordinary and that he couldn’t resist it even with his heat resistance.
"I will not jump inside the fiery pit even if a group of Savages attack me!" Hadeon commented as he stared at the red flames.
Hadeon didn’t want to burn his skin as he quickly dismissed his inner demons and thoughts of jumping into the crack.
Only a mad man would do it!
The lizard was long gone and thinking about it any longer would yield him nothing.
Hadeon sighed and looked at the frozen calf, still staring at the tail of its enemy with wide eyes, still in disbelief.
The tail was twitching on its own as if it had a life of its own.
It was an escaping mechanism found in some lizard species. To fly their enemies; they sacrifice their tails, making the predators lock on the tail as they escape with their life unharmed.
A brilliant evolutionary trait boosting their survival by a huge margin!
’Poor soul!’ Hadeon thought as he looked at the triceratops calf.
Hadeon sighed as he carefully studied the Triceratops’ body, which didn’t look exactly like how paleontologists had explained them on planet Iris.
The calf was around three meters tall up to its shoulder, thick copper coloured plates decorated all over its body with crimson gaps in between that worked similarly to joints.
Ordinarily on Hadeon’s planet that would be the height of an adult Triceratops, but here it was probably a juvenile or maybe even younger— just a calf as he had estimated.
Hadeon studied its face carefully: beak-like mouth and three long horns, two on each side of its head and one small one on its nasal region now covered in blood of its previous foe.
It looked like a nightmare creature straight out of a horror movie. Well, except the creature itself was a very gentle and timid herbivore.
’You can’t judge a book by its cover.’ He added.
As long as one didn’t threaten them, they would be like elephants. One of the most gentle and caring creatures alive today.
*Mrooo*
The calf grunted slowly as it kicked the tail into the fiery crack.
And then it looked at Hadeon and then at the fainted lady.
Hadeon stopped his breathing as he tried to look less intimidating.
His hands were high above his shoulders.
The calf looked at him with watery eyes and started to approach Hadeon.
The very next instant, the huge animal was standing in front of him, as Hadeon could feel the warmth of the breath on his face.
Instinctively, Hadeon backed a few steps, a bulking Triceratops standing just a few inches from him.
The blood was seeping out from the wound on its frill, painting all his head in red.
Hadeon pondered for a moment and walked closer to the calf and raised his hands slowly, caressing the head of the beast gently; it felt warm to the touch.
The beast cried in a low tone as it turned its head towards the woman.
"I know! She will be alright." Hadeon said nervously.
He didn’t know what to say to a beast, so he just gently rubbed the head of the calf.
"Everything will be okay. Don’t worry too much!" Hadeon added.
A smile appeared on his face.
The beast shook his head gently, welcoming Hadeon’s hands as if it was enjoying the rub.
The following moment, the calf bit the hide on his head and pulled him in the woman’s direction as if telling him to follow behind.
Hadeon didn’t resist as he followed the Triceratops’ lead. The beast was walking slowly, staggering with each new step.
He sighed and kept walking.
Both finally reached the place where the woman was lying motionless. Hadeon reached for the woman as he gently rolled the body, her back lying on the ashen ground.
Hadeon was stunned at the sight as he saw two pointy ears like that of an elf, the woman’s lavish brown curly hair drenched in blood.
’She is not a human?!’ Hadeon thought.
A few inches-long fracture on the upper side of the head as Hadeon noticed the blood had painted his hand while studying her head.
Thankfully, the wound had started to heal already! A vibrant blue glow spread across her wound like a thin cloth.
’Sorcery?!’
Hadeon was shocked to see someone using sorcery in the first layer of hell!
"H-How?"
*Mrooo*
The calf grunted and rubbed the back of the man with his head, as if trying to say- do something.
He quickly dismissed his thoughts as he checked the vitals of the woman.
Hadeon placed his hands on her wrist, studying her pulses.
’Fast, too fast!’ he frowned.
"Two hundred and thirty-three beats a minute!" Hadeon looked at the unconscious woman with a face full of surprise.
"She is strong!" Hadeon said.
He took a deep breath; she wasn’t just strong; she was a monster.
