“N-No need!” Wei Jing quickly shook his head, his heart in complete panic. Wild boar meat! That wild boar that had gained intelligence and could speak human language! The same boar spirit that had nearly killed him!

How terrifying! They were actually eating their own kind! No, wait, they were eating a creature that had developed intelligence and could take human form!

Morality had collapsed, values were twisted, and this was cold-blooded cruelty!Full novel: I, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Raising Babies Online [Transmigrated Into A Novel] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

This was absolutely not the ridiculous world he had created.

“Aren’t you hungry?” The Great Master seemed unaware of his distress, maintaining a gentle smile as he continued. “This is your favorite wild boar meat. The new chef is quite skilled, the skin is crispy and fragrant, the meat is tender, rich but not greasy, with a lingering aftertaste. I guarantee you’ll want more after just one bite.”

Wei Jing stared at the plate of roasted meat in the old butler’s hands as if it were poison, shaking his head frantically. “I-I’ve been constipated lately. I can’t eat meat!”

“Constipated?” The Great Master’s expression stiffened. After a suspicious two-second silence, he reached for Wei Jing’s pants. “Let me check for you.”

“Check what?” Wei Jing recoiled in shock. The Great Master’s reaction was completely off. Under normal circumstances, he should be disgusted and drop the subject!

The Great Master smiled faintly, explaining with a perfectly serious face. “There are many causes of constipation. It might be due to poor dietary habits that reduce intestinal stimulation and weaken reflexive peristalsis. It could also be caused by depression or excessive excitement, disrupting conditioned reflexes…”

His voice was so pleasant to listen to, but—

Hearing the word “constipation” three times in a row made Wei Jing want to strangle himself. Why had he come up with such a stupid excuse? Couldn’t he have just said he was vegetarian?

But then again, a tyrannosaur that was vegetarian, wouldn’t that sound even stranger?

“I-I’m not constipated anymore,” he stammered, trying to push the Great Master’s hand away. The memory of earlier came flooding back when he saw the scrapes on the back of his hand, injuries from punching the boar spirit in a fit of rage after seeing the little dragon swatted away, only to scrape his own skin.

He was so weak. A mighty tyrannosaur who couldn’t even take down a mere boar spirit. If he angered the Great Master, wouldn’t that be the end of him?

The image of the Great Master, enraged, mercilessly twisting his head off flashed through his mind. Wei Jing immediately deflated, trembling like an elderly stroke victim as he moved his hands away, looking pitifully at the other man. “Just be gentle… my whole body hurts…”

The Great Master’s smile faltered. Seeing Wei Jing’s red-rimmed eyes, he suddenly lost interest in teasing him further. His expression changed almost instantly as he stood and left without a trace of reluctance.

Wei Jing was left dumbfounded.

He had already prepared himself to “sacrifice his dignity,” and yet the other party had simply walked away without hesitation?

Well…

That’s great!

He secretly rejoiced. After all, he was a top, how could he casually bare his behind in front of another top? That would be utterly scandalous!

But—

His gaze shifted to the old butler, who stood as rigid as a statue, and the plate of roasted meat in his hand. Wei Jing felt as if he were facing a formidable enemy. Why hadn’t the spotted python left yet?

Sensing his gaze, the old butler promptly said respectfully, “Mr. Tu, would you like to have your meal now?”

Wei Jing shook his head vigorously like a rattle drum. “N-No! Take that thing away immediately. I’m eating vegetarian today. Just vegetables and fruit, thank you!”

Fifteen minutes later, he finally got a “proper” meal: a thriving green cauliflower the size of a basketball, two fist-sized bird eggs (both boiled), and a small plate of crimson fruits.

The old butler had thoughtfully set up a small table on his bed, allowing him to lean against the pillows and eat comfortably without having to get up and strain his aching body. In fact, he was so sore all over right now that he could barely move.

“Mr. Tu, please enjoy your meal. I’ll step out now. Call me if you need anything.”

“Okay, okay.” Wei Jing nodded eagerly, wishing the butler would disappear immediately.

After the old butler exited the master bedroom, he went straight to the Great Master Qin’s side, ready to await further orders.

The man who had left so decisively earlier was now seated on a single-seater sofa, his expression unreadable as he stared at the surveillance screen. His lips were pressed into a straight, emotionless line as he watched the figure on the monitor.

He observed Wei Jing clumsily wielding a knife and fork to cut the cauliflower, struggling for ages without making any progress. Then Wei Jing picked up one of the bird eggs, tapped it firmly against the table to crack it open. He struck it several more times until the shell was covered in a web of cracks, yet it stubbornly refused to break open…

Watching this, the Great Master let out a chuckle, his mood seeming to lift slightly.

Wei Jing put down the egg in defeat, picked up a red fruit, and popped it into his mouth. The next second, his face scrunched up from the sourness. He quickly spat it out and kept gasping. But his stomach was growling with hunger. Looking around to make sure no one was watching, he grabbed the cauliflower with both hands and started crunching away…

This cauliflower wasn’t a vegetable but a crisp, slightly chewy fruit with a refreshing, sweet taste. The only downside was its size, it was quite a challenge to eat.

Watching Wei Jing’s utterly graceless eating manner, the Great Master let out a soft scoff and instructed, “Have the new chef send him a plate of roasted meat.”

“Very well, Master.” Although the old butler couldn’t quite understand what his master was thinking, he followed the order nonetheless.

Another fifteen minutes passed. Just as Wei Jing had laboriously eaten one-fifth of the cauliflower and was about to take a break, the bedroom door was pushed open again.

He quickly put down the cauliflower, pretending he hadn’t been doing anything, and leaned back against the pillows with a helpless, pitiful expression. He turned his head—

Huh?

Huh!

This tall, stout man looked so familiar!

Although he had swapped his green courier uniform for a white chef’s outfit, his face, swollen and blackened, was unmistakable. Wei Jing would never mistake him!

This guy in the chef’s uniform, pretending to be a cook, was the very same boar spirit who had tried to kill him earlier!

Help! Before he could even shout the words, he saw the old butler pushing a stroller in behind the boar spirit. His heart, which had leaped to his throat, immediately settled back down.

“Mr. Tu, this is our new chef. Whatever you’d like to eat, just let him know.” The old butler parked the stroller to the side, effortlessly lifted the little dragon out, and placed it beside Wei Jing.

Wei Jing quickly checked over the little dragon. After confirming it had no injuries, he finally felt at ease. He looked up at the plate of roasted meat in the boar spirit chef’s hands and cautiously asked, “So this meat…”

“Is from a wild boar the master brought back from the nearby forest this morning,” the old butler replied with a smile.

Wei Jing: “…”
